Just bought one in the wootoff for $55 ($65 w tax and shipping). Checked Amazon and looked like a good deal. Anyone know a better place? Not too late to cancel.
You can grab a new one (with voice search) from slingtv for $49.99, but you have to pre-pay for 3 months of service ($20 a month) so if you were going to buy slingtv service anyway it's a pretty good deal, if not, then not so much.
I bought a "factory" refurbed roku on old woot. I love it, but it has a few jankey glitches here and there. I am never sure of whether it is because it is a refurb or just the software is funny, however I have not had any troubles with my other 2 roku boxes. (but I also do not use them as much)
I think for the $20 I saved, if I had to do it over, I would just buy a new one and not have the hassle or the stress.
I bought a Roku 2 (pre headphone connection) on woot years ago and it's still going strong. I've been using my chromecast for my 2nd TV, but the netflix connection is a bit wonky and loses access. Roku makes things a little easier. Also, headphone jack!
Nice model. We got one a couple years ago new for $65, shipped free from Staples but that was a pretty aggressive deal. Haven't noticed anything that cheap since.
We burn thru remote batteries because my son uses the remote + a headset to listen to Pandora all the time. "Poor man's Bluetooth headset."
@kadagan Good looking out! I think I'll stick with the one I bought. The extra $5 shipping worked out b/c I bought a halloween decoration afterwards on which I received free shipping.
i saw a new one at target today for $71 open box...always pays to check the clearance rack. that said, i got a roku 3 in a bag of crap a couple years ago. it is certainly a refurb and still works great

@daveinsocal it is 69.99 for roku 3 in woot off right now. so, go you.
@connorbush saw that too. This is a new one, but i don't really care about that so I'll keep the extra $10. Yay money!
@DaveInSoCal you could save a few dollars here if you wanted:
