Airwatt or air watt is a measurement unit of the effectiveness of vacuum cleaners which refers to airflow and the amount of power (watts) a vacuum cleaner produces and uses.
and:
The airwatt is a useful measurement of vacuum cleaner motor efficiency, …
two vacuum cleaners of the same airwattage have essentially the same suction, while devices of the same electrical wattage may have a difference in efficiency and thus have substantially different airwattage.
@jayman007 yeah I don’t get the idea of a completely cordless vacuum cleaner. My guess is it isn’t supposed to replace the dyson ball or the bissell you already have and more like compliment them?
@jayman007
Ten minutes on Max. All of the cordless stick types I’ve seen have two power settings. Most of the time, running them on the lower speed works well enough, and for my Tineco, the typical runtime on that setting is more like 24 minutes - and it won’t quite go for 10 minutes on Max. So I’m guessing that using a powered head and running on low speed, this one’s probably going to get somewhere between 20 and 35 minutes, but it sure would be nice to have some real data about that.
@jayman007 First off, I’m the buyer of this so I’m biased. I tested this vacuum against my Dyson V8 Animal Cordless stick vac. Run time was fairly similar on max mode but frankly, you don’t need to be in max mode on wood floors on either of them. I do go to Max mode on carpet and rugs. I don’t have a ton of carpet in my house so it really doesn’t take me more than a few minutes in Max mode on either of these vacuums. I can do pretty much my whole 1850 sq ft house on one charge on either of these vacs. I would say the biggest pro for the Roidmi is it comes with the velvet roller brush which I really found to work superior on my wood and tile floors. The biggest con is the size of the bin, the Dyson definitely wins there against the Roidmi. Again, I can still do my full house without having to empty the bin on either but I use this more for quick cleanups (lots of dog hair in our house). I could buy the similar fluffy brush head for my Dyson for roughly $80 but as everyone knows, for the price I already paid for the Dyson, adding $80 seems stupid and hard to justify. So for the $199 price I personally believe the Roidmi is the better deal but I won’t lie, I do love my Dyson.
@jayman007@mandirose
I have eight cats, and I use a much less capable Tineco to try to keep up with the cat hair. The hair wins more often than I’d like, but the Tineco comes with an extra (washable) filter tube, so that I can use up a full charge without the suction going to squat. I seldom hit the Max speed, and I occasionally have to manually clear a hair clog from the plumbing (easy enough). This one ought to do at least as well and probably better, for a price that’s not terribly shabby for this class of unit.
I have a Dyson v7 that we used to augment our full-size vac for quick & easy sweeps, but we’re finding that we use the full-size hardly ever at this point. The suction & pick-up on the v7 is at least as good (the full-size is a Dyson Animal), and the battery life is good enough to make it through the whole house on one charge.
If this one that Meh is offering is roughly on par with a v8, then it’s an awesome deal.
@tmsaucy It’s actually the lower end version of this model. It’s the ROIDMI F8E model number is XCQ01RM (the one we’re selling is XCQ03RM). Unfortunately whoever listed it on Walmart put the wrong specs on it. If you’d like to see the correct specs, the link is here https://www.amazon.com/ROIDMI-XCQ01RM-F8E-White/dp/B07TVTYGDN. Biggest differences is the F8E has 17000Pa Vacuum and 80 Air Watts Suction Power and up to 40 mins Long-lasting lithium battery. So lower suction and battery life compared to the F8 Storm we’re selling
When a product starts touting stuff like “115-Air Watts” and “18.5KPa centrifugal air pressure,” you know it’s pretty much junk, and pieces will be falling off within weeks. I’d rather buy some property from the Glengarry Glen Ross guys, than get stuck with a vacuum cleaner with less than 135-Air Watts and 21.25KPa centrifugal air pressure.
@sum1
Ten minutes on max setting, which is something that’s only really needed on carpeting that’s got a lot to pick up. The lower setting will give at least twice the run time if this unit is typical of the type, and that’s almost always going to do the job on non-carpeted floors.
Had it for a month and now it wont turn on. It’s been plugged into the charger for over a day. Press the power button, get 3 lights and it makes a click sound and turns off.
Had it for two months, charges for days, stays on for 30 seconds. Would not recommend unless you’re just looking to clean up a really small cardboard box once a week.
Awful. Looks nice, but does not turn on after only 2 months of light usage. Contacted the company who had me do a reset. Worked till just past a year. Company asked me to video the issue. I’m busy and have no desire to go through the hassle. Warranty is for a year. I refuse to put any more money into an inferior product. Buyer be ware. Looks are not of any importance. Shame

So worried that this, unlike most mehs lately, doesn’t suck…
Wtf Is an air watt
@thechinglish Maybe it’s measured by those little bags of TX air Meh sends us?

Oh my god, it’s Mega Maid. She’s gone from suck to blow.
@clonetek the last picture made me so happy
Wow, lasts a full 10 mins on a single charge. Sounds like a winner.
@jayman007 yeah I don’t get the idea of a completely cordless vacuum cleaner. My guess is it isn’t supposed to replace the dyson ball or the bissell you already have and more like compliment them?
@jayman007 I usually can’t handle more than a few minutes of suction.

@jayman007 @mandirose damn I’m pissed I missed this one
Roid mi, bro!
This deal…
sucks!
why does the make & model not inspire confidence when read aloud?
The vacuum’s combination is 12345. And may the Schwartz be with you
I very misread the title. I thought it said “sodomy storm” and I was all “sign me up!”. Turns out my reading comprehension sucks.
@fuzzmanmatt Sounds like you need new glasses too

Is she vacuuming the pillow or gently rocking the vacuum to sleep while singing it a lullaby?
@Kerig3 I assumed she was suffocating it with the pillow. Obviously she’s not a fan and wants something different.
@Kerig3
Or gently trying to get it to eat the pillow slowly, after it took too much of a bite and choked on it the first five times.
@Kerig3 She is singing it a lullaby so it can sleep with the fishes.
Cordless
Bagless
Battery lasts for up to 10 minutes in max mode

I’ll stick to my corded Shark.

@tmsaucy this is not the same brand therefore not an award winning design it is a knockoff.

@Skits I’m having the same issue. Were you able to get a resolution?

Late reviews are telling me that this turned out to be a real 'roid.
Used it twice, now it no longer charges. I have done ok on meh for the most part, but this purchase was a boondoggle for sure.
@molin123
Looks like there’s a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.
