I'm having trouble finding out how to play with specific PSN users. It might be cross-platform in that it allows people to random-match, but not join a private match :-/

@troy Are you trying to play with them on PSN? I tried adding you, @NigelF was nice enough to accept.

@troy When @TaRDy created a party it gave me a notification. It looks like for the time being you can play random matches cross-platform, but not private matches or form parties.

P.S.: Played one random 3v3 match online, won 4-3, had a hat trick, a save, and was mvp but damn it was laggy.

@Einherjar13 I did get the hopscotch pilgrim though. Some people report having completed 350 dragon strikes prior to it dropping for them. I feel fortunate.

@Einherjar13 @connorbush destiny is an addiction but rocket league has pulled me away from it. I have everything on Destiny, very high grimoire too...maybe I don't have that hopscotch pilgrim gun, haven't played strike playing in ages

@TaRDy I had burned out from destiny for about 5 months...to me it's now more about playing with friends than anything else. I'll have to try and convert a few

@Einherjar13 The DLC's keep pulling me back in, I'm really into Trials now, I try to do all 3 nightfalls on Tuesday nights, then play a few arena games until the weekend.

@TaRDy That's what brought me back. We run nightfall, hard vog, normal crota it seems every tuesday then bang out 32 and 34 POE later. I need to do Skolas and some trials, we tried trials once as 33s and got wrecked

@DrunkCat ah! i spent the weekend crafting and marveling at the rain in los angeles in summer. we had some epic thunderstorms. i need to try and play this some more. i suck at hitting the ball with the car, but it is super fun.

@Lotsofgoats what a shot! And yes, agreed on the first one - every time I'm behind on points or tied and the clock winds down to 0 I'm always hoping that I can make some crazy last minute play before it hits the ground for the win.

I never can, because I'm terrible.

@JonT Aerial shots are basically witchcraft. I say this because every time I try one I end up flying into a wall as I miss the ball completely

@TaRDy it's not an own goal, check the trail behind the ball after it's been hit. that player is just doing something goofy with car colors (pretty sure the yellow is the primary color and blue is the secondary, which is derp by psyonix).

anyways, there is some ESL tournament going on this weekend, I think Sunday, a couple of my PSN friends are playing in it and are sure to get destroyed in the first match, I will post a link to his Twitch if anyone is interested when it starts.

@DrunkCat Once you start playing you immediately understand how amazing the game is, but I think some people need to be pushed to try it (or maybe we just don't have a ton of PS4/steam users).

@DrunkCat it's worth 5x that price imo. I bought the DLC as soon as it was in the store to show my support for the game.

@JonT It should've been $10~$15. $20 was the maximum the market would allow. I'm no stranger to showing support (I think I've spent nearly $500 on R8 Games, plus nature knows what back in the day with Natural Selection and The Ship), but Psyonix knows how to milk gamers pretty good.

@DrunkCat I appreciate this technique because if I don't have a play on the ball, I'm going to smash somebody out of the play. there are sooooo many goalies who are just watching the ball on ball cam and you get to score them into the goal while your teammate(s) score the ball. ^5 well done.

@Lotsofgoats it also works as a demoralizing mechanic despite it being part of the game. Lots of rage and tears for doing it.

@DrunkCat BASICALLY. I do this in the game room at work to one guy in particular and he's like ಠ ̯ ಠ but still admits "it's a real strategy"

@Lotsofgoats There certainly is a "wrong" way of doing it, like blowing me up to place me in front of a boost as the ball is heading towards me. Easy goal.
