Sigh. Want it. But my wife says if I buy one more meh backpack she’ll do me in, cut me up, and put a piece in each backpack and distribute them all over the eastern seaboard.
@eeterrific yea, me too, i tried to give like 3 or 4 models to my nephew, he was all like, nah this isn’t for me, too big, too small, too many zippers…
Can I send my other one back and get this one instead? Apparently I’m supposed to bring more stuff with me than I expected, and I’d like a bigger sack.
@haydesigner It’s a Woot-off where they keep rotating stuff throughout the day. Go to Woot, click the community button and you can see the items that have been sold all day, including the “Indepen-Crap” that I scored.
Just came back froma few weeks in SE Asia with the 40L version. I also wanted bigger when I first saw it in person. I thought I made a huge mistake buying that bag. But I really came to appreciate the size while traveling. It fit easily everywhere and the compartments and pockets came in handy at one point or another. If you push in the back plasticy part inside the main compartment you get twice the room in that pocket. After figuring that out, I think the 40L version is optimal because of its footprint. So I think 40L buyers shouldn’t feel too bad after seeing this deal, we got a good bag. Bigger is not always better.
price beats what I found on several different websites, but I could not find 1 review for this specific pack (did that just starting making this pack) ne1 else have any luck finding a review? need to know how much Halloween Candy it will hold, and if it has a pocket at the bottom of the main pouch, so I can get the stuff at the bottom of the bag without having to dump it all out.
@chuegen Thanks, But I don’t consider “*Very good quality and comfortable.” much of a review, I want to know how it performs in the field. still think it strange that there are no reviews out their, I guess everybody whom bought on Amazon must have gotten theirs free or at a reduced price. lol.
I hope its tuff material on the outside i read red rock backpacks are legit . Cant find any reviews on this packpack but it looks huge and awesome. Always get good stuff from Meh thanks Meh.com this came perfect timing:D
I have a thing for backpacks. I just love them. However, I’m one of the suckers who, relying on the 40L representation (note that I’m not blaming Meh for the representation as the product itself has “40L Capacity” printed on it), bought the Bluff backpack recently. That pack really is tiny, though it appears to be well-made. I just can’t trust the measurements from Red Rocks. Meh.
The 40L one I bought and can’t return for credit towards the 45L even though it seems to be closer to a 30L spec and damn I want the 45L but it’s a bridge too far… anyway, the 40L is a nice backpack. Detachable belt/frame and integrated rain covers are good features. A bit strappy, if that’s your thing.
Oh, and I can take solace in getting mockquoted FIRST in writeup.
is this too big as a carry on / laptop bad for airlines? I have a old one my brother gave me that was issued from the AF very nice but getting so long in the tooth mine is 21" tall and 14/15" wide and can go to 9 or 12" deep my current bag has been all over the world just this one looks HUGE!!! maybe its one of those things where on screen you look 20lbs bigger hell idk… anyone have this can attest to how big it is?
@Jessop dimensions are at the bottom of the spec list… should be able to cram it into an overhead I should think (except maybe on some regional carriers that use tiny overheads). Most airlines use max 45 combined inches so 15+23+9=47 should be pretty close…
@iksnyrk what do you mean by “push in the back plasticy part” to get more room? I removed the “airflow” attachment from the 40L and that practically doubled the size of the main pocket, but it makes it way less comfortable to wear since you lose the waist straps and the exterior hip pockets. Is that what you meant?
Sounds like a weird removable version of an internal frame, sort of: “Removable mesh back panel with rigid arcs keep backpack from resting directly on your back, allowing for airflow”
Black style is SOLD OUT. Really wanted the black one too Ohwell, settled for the gray version…it’s worth it for an affordable bug out bag. Thanks, Meh!
Man, my shoulders already hurt looking at those straps; super thin/dense. I may be spoiled, but it looks more appropriate for an over-packed day hike than a weekend or longer. But if that’s the intended use, it’s definitely less expensive than most options.
help I need this on the 12th oct. will you get it here?
Tell me now man I really cant wait. It took this long jusy to find you . I only come out to do this twice yr. this is number uno.
@bigmacd…not very likely. They won’t process the order until at least tomorrow, and Monday is a holiday so not likely to get there by Wed. (As an example, my order from the 1st and the 3rd are both due for delivery on Tues, my order from the 5th is still ‘processing’ and hasn’t shipped yet…)
Sure, why not. I might use this in lieu of a top case on my scooter, looks like it has plenty of points to secure it. Worse comes to worse, I should probably have made a BOB by now anyway.
six years later it definitely is one of the most awkward shapes of backpacks to fit a lot of crap in. wish I’d passed on it. Also some sharp plastic parts fell out of it already. MEH!
@thegreatnate001 This is one of the most motivated replies I’ve ever read here. You still have, and can use, a product we sold 6 years ago. Sounds to me like you won the lottery for a mediocre product.
This is not me saying you’re incorrect in any way. I have a similar backpack that I was excited about ordering, only to find out it wasn’t great to wear. Feels bad.

Packing em in tonight meh – stoned backpack – rock on
Boo!
Yah!
Meh
But how many heads can I carry in it?
@ELUNO 2. If it was a duffel bag, 7.
@eVil
That’s next week.
@MehnofLaMehncha Whew. And here I though I’d have to buy 3.5 backpacks.
So this is like a serious camping/hiking backpack… with a laptop compartment? I don’t get it.
@RDW0409 Yeah that’s probably not what it is, but that was the best way I could figure out how to describe the sleeve inside the backpack
@Moose Probably a water bladder sleeve?
@RDW0409 It’s not for a laptop.
It’s for your chess set. Duh!
It’s where you stash your weed.
@MehnofLaMehncha that’s quite a lot of space for stashing weed lol
/giphy go green
dang, yo? i got the 40L one for $28, this is 45L for $30, i think i eff’ed up
that’s like $7/ltr vs. $6.67/ltr, or like about 5% discount, i knew i should have weighted
Weighted? Thought it was the liters you were interested in. Not the kilograms.
Sigh. Want it. But my wife says if I buy one more meh backpack she’ll do me in, cut me up, and put a piece in each backpack and distribute them all over the eastern seaboard.
Still…I’m tempted…
@eeterrific yea, me too, i tried to give like 3 or 4 models to my nephew, he was all like, nah this isn’t for me, too big, too small, too many zippers…
Can I send my other one back and get this one instead? Apparently I’m supposed to bring more stuff with me than I expected, and I’d like a bigger sack.
@fuzzmanmatt Bigger sacks are always a plus…
@fuzzmanmatt Yeah, this will be a bigger sack for you. But I doubt you can send your current sack back. Wouldn’t advise it.
Another FUCKING backpack!!
MEH IT TO HELL.
/giphy take a deep breath
Will this tote my goats?
@placeholder How many Goats do ya hafta tote? I’d bet you could, but only if you pack them in very, VERY carefully!!
@placeholder totes
Quite a bug out bag
Backpacks on meh? Over on Woot!, I just scored a BOC!
@Kyser_Soze
Blue oyster cult?
@Kyser_Soze… just???
Woot won’t start for another 5 minutes or so.
/giphy LIAR

Ah, I see (I hardly ever go there anymore)… I hereby apologize for preemptively lightly mocking you, @Kyser_Soze
@haydesigner It’s easier to score a BOC if less people go there!
/giphy oh great another backpack
If the various pockets and compartments were full of spider eggs, this would be an instant buy.

Meh, but great write-up.
“You spoke. We (accidentally) listened,”. What do you mean you have listened? What about that auto feed scanner I’ve been looking for.
@Charliethedog me too!

Just when what I really need is a small daypack, it has to go and get big. I have a big backpack. Meh.
I have a thing for backpacks. I just love them. @lehigh
stands on the silver medal step and gives you the stinkeye
Ah well. It’s nice enough to be quoted on the front page at all, but yeah, I was expecting the excerpt to be bigger.
If I weren’t as poor as dirt I’d actually buy this.
/giphy poor as dirt
Oddly appropriate?
/giphy surprised unique cover

I already have a sack, no need for another.

Is there a place to attach and use a water bladder?
@iksnyrk what do you mean by “push in the back plasticy part” to get more room? Can anyone answer if it is framed? Like a support built into the back like a proper hiking pack?
@kylethephotoguy Love the alien Irk!
@sammydog01 Did it because shrink rays are cool and Irk needs an alien doppelgänger.
@Kylethephotoguy
@Kylethephotoguy Was that not posted until late? When I first looked at the pic it was only the bag, no irk or shrinking head…
@chienfou No. Must have been a glitch in the Matrix.
Sounds like a weird removable version of an internal frame, sort of: “Removable mesh back panel with rigid arcs keep backpack from resting directly on your back, allowing for airflow”
Not like I need another backpack - but what the hell. I’ll write up a review on it vs my other packs when it gets in.
/giphy powerful adverse history

I’d buy the black one, but the grey is meh. Too bad black is sold out.
Ohhhhh Noooo…I wanted BLACK too! “He who hesitates”…I guess…I’m bummed son Ultra tiempo, possibly
Oh yeahhhhhh…Mehhhhh, is all I got to say 'bout dat"! She said with crocodile tears in her big blue eyes…

@bigmacd if you mean where is meh… they are in TX
Looks like the backpack to go with Homer’s Canyonero!
Canyonero on YouTube
Sure, why not. I might use this in lieu of a top case on my scooter, looks like it has plenty of points to secure it. Worse comes to worse, I should probably have made a BOB by now anyway.

@Yoda_Daenerys How’s the eclipse beer tonight? Are you getting along okay, just window-shopping instead of shopping-shopping?
@therealjrn i don’t think they sell eclipse beer near me
@Yoda_Daenerys I hear near beer isn’t that good anyway.
