Just FYI, Razer is overpriced mediocre junk marketed toward 15-year-old "EXTREME GAYMMURRS" and others who are ignorant of what quality computer peripherals actually look like. For $33, this might be an okay deal, but I personally would not spend any more than that for any kind of Razer product; partly out of principle, and partly out of just poor value.
@Dankk I own a Razer Taipan mouse and a Razer Black Widow Ultimate mechanical keyboard for over a year and have had no complaints and absolutely love them. But that is just, like, my opinion, man.
@Dickbutt And that's a-okay; in the end, you should use whatever you're happy with. $33 for this headset is a reasonable deal, but the fact that they're charging $80-$100 for this thing on a normal day is absurd. There are too many better alternatives in that price bracket.
@Dankk Odd, I had one of their other headphones for years. Super long cord, always sounded good. Worked great... until my wife vacuumed over the cord and well, something went wrong. Picking these up as a replacement. I've been a fan of Razer products since their first mouse. I tend to totally disagree they are junk.

@kadagan FWIW, I have owned a Turtle Beach headset for the past couple of years (one of the cheaper versions), and it has held up admirably. I don't think you'll be disappointed with your purchase. I even looked at that same sale on Woot, but decided against it for no other reason than I'm trying to rein in the spending.
I love you Meh. I have been playing TF2 competitively for about a month or so and have been working with the shittiest headset ever and have been wanting to upgrade but not wanting to spend alot of money on it. This is too perfect! I mean... uhh... meh.

i would totally buy it, however constant use of 3.5 jacks has messed up my microphone input so that every movement i make disconnects it. so unless it somehow magically turns into usb i will have to pass.
Perfect. My boyfriend likes to use headsets with mics for voice dictation and video chats, but keeps breaking them (He's a klutz and they fall, shattering plastic repeatedly). Cheap enough that it won't matter, easy holiday present.

Let's say that person tried to use earbuds to block out said verbiage, but that certain co-workers (cow-orkers) just don't get the message and are determined to try to hold long conversations with said person anyway. Who, shall I inject, wants nothing more to do his work, go home, turn on the TV, pop a frozen dinner into the microwave, and enjoy it while watching the Simpsons, with the prospect of sultry and fervent, albeit brief, self-love as a kind of whispery promise of feeble excitement though sad reminder of forever-lost youth, later that evening. Before the same grey, monotonous cycle of daily existence begins again anew the next morning.
Now that person considers this headset advertised by Meh. Certainly the fashion is overt enough so that even the most thickest dullard would get the message, no? You put a pair of this sort of headphones on, it basically sends the message, "I don't want to hear anything outside of my own brain, leave me alone." Right?
Question: would these headphones, although designed for gaming, be okay to listen to music to? Not expecting that they would be audiophile quality, but would the bass sound like bass, the treble existent, and overall sounding NOT like said person is listening to music through a pair of tin cans?
@defibrillator yes. with an equalizer to tune it a bit, I'd say these actually have some good music potential with better low end than Beats. Questionable how much bass you should directly inject into your head but these would let you immerse yourself for certain.
We opened one up and sure thing it has 2 discreet full size drivers in each ear.
@defibrillator the phrase "I'm sorry (or not), I'm trying to get some work done, I don't have time to talk" is much cheaper and it works for me pretty well.

I have Logitech G35 7.1's at the moment. I bought these at such a cheap price due to having some financial shortcomings, and not being able to replace with another set of G35's or G930's, my current set decides to blast ear shattering white noise randomly and gives me a heart attack every time. I can't wait to try them out, I mean for this price why not?

I got the same POS MW3 headset as well. Last time I go near this website. I will be reversing the charges with my credit card company if it isn't fixed promptly.

@hart So, I was on vacation for, well, let's just say a while, and received one each of the MW3 TB and the Tiamat Razer headsets (for the price of one). We cool?
Hola Gaming headset buyers of Meh. I've heard from the team that there is confirmation that a large number of folks have received or will be receiving the dorky MW3 headsets instead of the ones they ordered. We're doing some inventory checking here to confirm the scope. As this snafu comes to shape this morning, we'll post back here to confirm a (hopefully) favorable solution.
We do (or at least did) own a separate batch of inventory of MW3 amplified gaming headsets. Here's a link to the product on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Call-Duty-Universal-Mac/dp/B005CGL06K It's an interesting headset on it's own with it's amplification feature; however, be assured, we have no intention of trying to pass it off as a replacement for the one you ordered. That's not our style.
While we figure out how many miss-shipments occurred, we'll be crunching numbers on how to budget the most grand corrective action for getting you the correct headsets with the least amount of pissed-off-ness.
TL:DR; wrong headsets may have been shipped; more info here later this morning on solution, followed by email to all affected who have yet to show up.

Just got the wrong ones today (after a mixup at the post office.) I must say, I'm not disappointed by them at all, they have the longest cord I've ever seen on a headset, and the fact that the Razer headset I ordered is coming as well, MEH! <3

What the fucking fuck, I just got it today all excited, I open the box and I get the custom call of duty turtle beaches. Is this some kind of joke? Im not even joking it isnt anything like what was in the description. It says "CALL OF DUTY MW3" in massive letters on the headset and adapter. Are you expectig me to keep this or something meh? Im am the longest time call of duty hater. IIve never owned a single one of their games. Edit: fine ill take it for free but dont expect me to like it. Ill check now for the email. Got both headsets today. When will Meh be selling a teleporter that I can put them both in to try to fuse them to get the good features from both? Or turn them into horrible fly monsters... That is also an option.
Got mine, they work (well, I need to try the third pair before gifting it), and sound good enough for my needs. Not as good as my ATH-M50s, but those are $200 dedicated monitor cans vs $100 gamer headset. But for those times when I need to talky talky, it's nice to have instead of a USB mic I'd planned to use.
Got my headset in today, both speakers are blown and the left one outputs very little noise. There's basically no highs either like all lyrics in music sounds like whispering.
@snapster I got both the turtle beach ones have a terrible whining (like constant static) noise to them and the Tiamats are the ones I was referring to.
Just have to say, got the Turtle Beach ones in today and was slightly concerned. Contacted customer support, and I am very pleased with how this is being handled! The initial email hit my spam box, otherwise I would have known this was coming. Kind of cool that now I've got a spare pair to work with XBOX, or as a loaner set for LAN parties. Cheers Meh!

An extra Meh box arrived today. My wife said idk what it is. I checked my Meh.com orders and it did not add up, I have this box that is headphone sized and the one in the closet I am not allowed to open to xmas. In fear I received a speaker dock against my will, I opened it. A headset, the one I ordered from Meh.com so I wondered what the headset sized box in the closet was. (The one I did not open but put in the closet because my wife ordered it for me for X-Mas at my request). Still in fear of the possibility of a speaker dock being in my house, I opened the 2nd box.I see Call of Duty headset. Confused and excited I searched Bing for 'meh.com "Call of Duty"' and saw lots of people in search a bathroom, so I googled 'meh.com "Call of Duty"' and got here. I skimmed the post and I see Meh.com sent me the wrong headset and the right headset and I did not even know until today.

Just got my headphones an I'm loving them! Except when i was messing around with my audio software the mic decided to fizzle out. Has anyone else had this problem? (the mic picks up stuff but its suuuuper low)
I tested out several different mics, including the CoD headset they sent and every other mic works fine. The mic on my Razer set just doesnt work at all. :/
Just got the Tiamat headset after getting the MW3 one a week ago. Aaaaand its 2/3 broken out of the box. The Microphone doesn't work and only the right side of the headset has audio coming out of it. BUT they sure feel good on ma head

@kadagan FWIW, I have owned a Turtle Beach headset for the past couple of years (one of the cheaper versions), and it has held up admirably. I don't think you'll be disappointed with your purchase. I even looked at that same sale on Woot, but decided against it for no other reason than I'm trying to rein in the spending.

Save yourself the money and buy a quality pair of headphones and a separate mic. Boom, both are better quality than a combined one.

There are a lot of reasons to call something refurbished. For example:
Shipping or exterior damage
Demo units
Opened box
Production Defects (that get fixed).
Your refurb headphones aren't going to be dripping with earwax you weirdos.

i would totally buy it, however constant use of 3.5 jacks has messed up my microphone input so that every movement i make disconnects it. so unless it somehow magically turns into usb i will have to pass.

Perfect. My boyfriend likes to use headsets with mics for voice dictation and video chats, but keeps breaking them (He's a klutz and they fall, shattering plastic repeatedly). Cheap enough that it won't matter, easy holiday present.
The reviews for this thing are ALL over the place, and there seems to be complaints from all over the place... Overall sound quality, crappy mic, comfort not being the best, and on and on...

It blows my mind that this is not a chief problem for anyone else and people can tolerate this. How this is not the chief complaint in the reviews here is crazy. I don't even have a wide head; I just bought a new hat in the mall and it fits normally. Wtf. I am not surprised, considering that Razer is far from the top as far as keyboards and headsets go. Let's say that person tried to use earbuds to block out said verbiage, but that certain co-workers (cow-orkers) just don't get the message and are determined to try to hold long conversations with said person anyway. Who, shall I inject, wants nothing more to do his work, go home, turn on the TV, pop a frozen dinner into the microwave, and enjoy it while watching the Simpsons, with the prospect of sultry and fervent, albeit brief, self-love as a kind of whispery promise of feeble excitement though sad reminder of forever-lost youth, later that evening. Before the same grey, monotonous cycle of daily existence begins again anew the next morning.
Now that person considers this headset advertised by Meh. Certainly the fashion is overt enough so that even the most thickest dullard would get the message, no? You put a pair of this sort of headphones on, it basically sends the message, "I don't want to hear anything outside of my own brain, leave me alone." Right?
Question: would these headphones, although designed for gaming, be okay to listen to music to? Not expecting that they would be audiophile quality, but would the bass sound like bass, the treble existent, and overall sounding NOT like said person is listening to music through a pair of tin cans?
@defibrillator yes. with an equalizer to tune it a bit, I'd say these actually have some good music potential with better low end than Beats. Questionable how much bass you should directly inject into your head but these would let you immerse yourself for certain.
We opened one up and sure thing it has 2 discreet full size drivers in each ear.

I have Logitech G35 7.1's at the moment. Hola Gaming headset buyers of Meh. I've heard from the team that there is confirmation that a large number of folks have received or will be receiving the dorky MW3 headsets instead of the ones they ordered. We're doing some inventory checking here to confirm the scope. As this snafu comes to shape this morning, we'll post back here to confirm a (hopefully) favorable solution.
We do (or at least did) own a separate batch of inventory of MW3 amplified gaming headsets. Here's a link to the product on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Call-Duty-Universal-Mac/dp/B005CGL06K It's an interesting headset on it's own with it's amplification feature; however, be assured, we have no intention of trying to pass it off as a replacement for the one you ordered. That's not our style.
While we figure out how many miss-shipments occurred, we'll be crunching numbers on how to budget the most grand corrective action for getting you the correct headsets with the least amount of pissed-off-ness.
TL:DR; wrong headsets may have been shipped; more info here later this morning on solution, followed by email to all affected who have yet to show up.

Just got the wrong ones today (after a mixup at the post office.) I must say, I'm not disappointed by them at all, they have the longest cord I've ever seen on a headset, and the fact that the Razer headset I ordered is coming as well, MEH! <3

Well they sent me a shit 20$ headset THAT WAS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR. Last time i use this site. Here is what I got
@ExCinisCineris you should have received an email from us addressing this issue. Basically we screwed up and sent everyone the wrong headset, which you can keep of course, and we shipped out the correct headsets on Monday. You should get that in the mail within the next few days. Sorry for the mix up!

What the fucking fuck, I just got it today all excited, I open the box and I get the custom call of duty turtle beaches. Is this some kind of joke? Im not even joking it isnt anything like what was in the description. It says "CALL OF DUTY MW3" in massive letters on the headset and adapter. Are you expectig me to keep this or something meh? Im am the longest time call of duty hater. IIve never owned a single one of their games. Edit: fine ill take it for free but dont expect me to like it. Ill check now for the email. You almost broke my heart today meh. But thank you for your customer support.

Got the Tiamat headset today. Thanks for making it right Meh! two presents for my son for Xmas. The turtles for his xbone and the razers for his pc rig.

Got both headsets today. When will Meh be selling a teleporter that I can put them both in to try to fuse them to get the good features from both? Or turn them into horrible fly monsters... That is also an option.
Got mine, they work (well, I need to try the third pair before gifting it), and sound good enough for my needs. Not as good as my ATH-M50s, but those are $200 dedicated monitor cans vs $100 gamer headset. But for those times when I need to talky talky, it's nice to have instead of a USB mic I'd planned to use.
Got my headset in today, both speakers are blown and the left one outputs very little noise. There's basically no highs either like all lyrics in music sounds like whispering.
@Cherudim which headset did you get first - one of them (the incorrectly shipped one) requires USB amplification maybe?
@snapster I got both the turtle beach ones have a terrible whining (like constant static) noise to them and the Tiamats are the ones I was referring to.
@Cherudim ok both are under warranty - use the report a problem thing from your order and we'll get a solution going. sorry for the frustration
Got mine today after getting the MW3 set a few days ago. I have to say, I think the MW3 have better clarity in the bass. Meh :/
I plan on playing Amnesia with these things for the real test.
Just have to say, got the Turtle Beach ones in today and was slightly concerned. Contacted customer support, and I am very pleased with how this is being handled! The initial email hit my spam box, otherwise I would have known this was coming. Kind of cool that now I've got a spare pair to work with XBOX, or as a loaner set for LAN parties. Cheers Meh!

An extra Meh box arrived today. My wife said idk what it is. I checked my Meh.com orders and it did not add up, I have this box that is headphone sized and the one in the closet I am not allowed to open to xmas.
In fear I received a speaker dock against my will, I opened it. A headset, the one I ordered from Meh.com so I wondered what the headset sized box in the closet was. (The one I did not open but put in the closet because my wife ordered it for me for X-Mas at my request).
Still in fear of the possibility of a speaker dock being in my house, I opened the 2nd box.I see Call of Duty headset. Confused and excited I searched Bing for 'meh.com "Call of Duty"' and saw lots of people in search a bathroom, so I googled 'meh.com "Call of Duty"' and got here. I skimmed the post and I see Meh.com sent me the wrong headset and the right headset and I did not even know until today.

Just got my headphones an I'm loving them! Except when i was messing around with my audio software the mic decided to fizzle out. Has anyone else had this problem? (the mic picks up stuff but its suuuuper low)
My mic doesnt seem to work at all :/.
I tested out several different mics, including the CoD headset they sent and every other mic works fine. The mic on my Razer set just doesnt work at all. :/
...and I was perfectly happy with a Sharpie.

Just got the Tiamat headset after getting the MW3 one a week ago. Aaaaand its 2/3 broken out of the box. The Microphone doesn't work and only the right side of the headset has audio coming out of it. BUT they sure feel good on ma head

@JonT Same thing is happening with mine, audio seems fine, but mic is broken. Ive used the /support form as well as sending an email, but havent heard anything back. Is there an estimated time frame for hearing back?
