Rare Amazon Discount Code - Good for $8.62 Off Any Order Over $50 Today
17Amazon doesn’t offer general discount codes all that often so this is kind of unusual.
It’s good for $8.62 off any purchase totalling $50 or more and only valid until Midnight tonight.
Code is BIGTHANKS

Also, only valid on items shipped from and sold by Amazon (no Marketplace sellers). All items in your order must ship together (items from separate Amz warehouses can’t count towards the minimum purchase value).
It’s cumbersome to use… but if you can manage, it’s a nice bonus.
Fine print says that it’s rounded to $8.63.
This deal has already been posted here:

@Grailquest not that it matters now that the code has expired… but how would one find a deal in that sea of comments and social experiments?
If a deal is a standout I’d much rather see it highlighted in a new post than buried.
Can always go to Dealnews, Bens Bargins, or Slickdeals if the wish is to search.
@RedOak The code is good until 11:59 pm Pacific. It’s only 9:23 here as I write.
@KDemo what is this “Pacific” of which you speak?
@RedOak
Someone told me it was a really big hole in the ground. Sometimes, after a rain, it fills up a little with water.
ShopVac!
I was able to use the code on Starbucks gift cards for my wife; it also was accepted for a Whole Foods card but I switched because there isn’t one convenient to me. I’m told other cards were also usable with the discount.
I got frustrated trying to find sold by Amazon stuff. I kept finding better deals on non Amazon stuff.
@medz
The comic books I want were slightly cheaper non-Amazon. Especially because of sales tax.
Oh well. Saved myself some money.
@PlacidPenguin @medz couldn’t find a store/restaurant gift card out of the multitude available? 17% off is real money. Think of it as almost covering the tip on a restaurant card.
Sometimes select cards (few choices) go to 20%, but I don’t recall an open season deal like this on just about any of their non-Amazon cards.
(I did go through our long save for later list but none of it had price dropped enough.)
@RedOak So you’re saying save $8 but then give myself the chore of having to go somewhere particular to spend the money and hope I find something I want there for a good price. Seems like a gamble.
@RedOak
I don’t go to restaurants really, and I don’t go to Starbucks.
I even have a thing for a free drink from Dunkin Donuts because of my birthday (only gift I got), and I don’t even know if that will be used.
@PlacidPenguin @Medz clearly if you don’t eat out and never shop at the many stores for which they have cards, branded gift cards will never make sense for you at any price.
@RedOak @medz
Free works for me.
@PlacidPenguin
I wish to dispute that statement.
@ruouttaurmind
What? I have someone named Free under my employment.
@PlacidPenguin Now that right there was funny.

I was able to use this easily; thanks.
