Radio remote question
0Is it possible to bind more than one receiver to a radio? For example, if I build two quads: a 250 and 450, for example, I would like to use my newly acquired Devo f12e. I would get two receivers (rx705). Is it possible? Can I set up different profiles for each craft?
Thanks!

Yep. Binding tells the receiver which radio to listen to. The radio has model memories to store settings for each model you want to control. The f12e should have quite a few model memory slots.
I concur with @djslack. The F12e has a buttload of "model" slots. You can bind with many different RX and the F12e allows you to configure a different profile for each, then saves it under a name you specify. Switching between different "models" is a simple as choosing the name you assigned it in the system menu.
Yep, i have two quads and three helicopters on one devo 7e and still plenty of slots left.
Thanks guys. If I have two rx705 and I bind one, that's all I need to do then, right? I can then use both (not at the same time of course). What if one is a rx705 and the other is a rx1202? Do I do two binds and put them in different models or profiles?
@garyhgaryh Nope... they'll each have a unique ID, so you'll need to bind each one under a different profile. Even if they're two RX705's. *EDIT:*Or maybe I'm wrong. The more I think about it... the unique ID belongs to the TX, so it may be possible to bind each RX705 under the same TX profile... frankly I'm not sure how this would work.
@ruouttaurmind I'm not sure you'd want to either. You'd be better off having them on seperate profiles. Unless they are exactly the same quad you might need/want to make alterations to the controll charactoristics and if you have them under the same profile you could end up flying quad two with quad one's characteristics and crashing it because GPS doesn't exist or is on another channel, etc.
My devo will bind automatically with whatever aircraft is on regardless of what profile its one.......but as stated you want to set up a "model" for each craft, so you can set the dual rate and expo to work good with that particular aircraft.
On quads its not as crucial as a collective pitch heli, so in all honesty you can probably just turn it on and fly, but thats not the way i would do it.
