@thekenya If you don’t have a sonic toothbrush, this is a good one to have. I bought the one without sanitizer and it works good. I liked my Phillips Sonicare a little better because it seemed to hold charge longer but kept having to buy a new one every year or 2. This Pursonic has lasted about that long and hasn’t died yet. You can get more brush heads on eBay or Amazon
@jjohns71 I bought a $25 electric razor from Hamazon. It worked fantastic but the head broke after 4 months. Came to find out, they don’t make replacement heads for it.
So, I know what you’re talking about.
Works quite well. I consider I’m paying two bucks a brush and getting the handle and charging base for free. Worth every penny. Not sure this model is worth the extra ten dollars.
@squishybrain@thekenya Same here. I bounce between the previously offered Pursonic and a decent Oral B. Each has its strong and weak points.
With the Pursonic, at least I can claim I have a Blue Tooth Brush.
Bought the previous version of this from Meh a while ago. I use that plus a water-pick, floss, and mouthwash. On my last cleaning visit to the dentist he said “whatever you’re doing, keep doing it”, so I guess it does a good job.
@JohnMorris Same here. I have the cheaper model of this that Meh had been selling. Seems to work well so far, and I got compliments from the hygienist on my last visit to the dentist.
I’ve had the “entry level” version of this brush for a couple years - and it’s great. The 30 second interval / 2 minute timer has proven to be a great idea.
Sadly I killed the charger when I went to Australia in September - it could not handle 50Hz.
Replacement brushes are all over eBay for next to nothing.
I have the non-uv one. It’s ok, but the head is tiny and the bristles are extremely soft. The timer is great, but I’ve gone back to a regular toothbrush and it seems to do a better job at cleaning. I just use the pursonic as a somewhat silly timer. If you do decide to buy, just remember not to leave it plugged in all the time- constant charging kills this type of battery.
I bought this last time meh sold it to replace a broken old sonicare. Actually I bought two so I wouldn’t have to share with my wife and we would each have plenty of brush heads. So far so good. Highly recommended at this price.
This one fixes some of my annoyances with the cheaper version. The cheaper one was still good, but this one is better! My main annoyance with the cheaper one was having to cycle through all modes to turn it off. This one, once you have it on a mode for 3-4s, the next button press turns it immediately off. Plus, the button is easier to find without looking at the brush. The cheaper one had a really smooth button that easily blended into the surface of the handle.
Bought one of these a year ago to replace a dying $200 Sonicare (2 years old). I (and my dentist) see no result difference between the two, and these brushes are far less expensive. Although this deal comes with a 3-year supply of brushes—FTW! This is a no-brainer if you want to try an electric.
@dave You and I are on a collision course. I needed an electric toothbrush and had to buy one from the mother ship 3 days ago. This is becoming a habit of you posting things I need after-the-fact of my purchasing them elsewhere (e.g. train with smoke). I would have liked the UV sanitizer.

@Brasssong Opening beer bottle caps, much?
I need to verbalize before I can buy… is that “PURE” sonic, or “PURR” sonic??
@phendrick I’d like to change my Hmmmmmm, to a Purrrrrrrrrrr
Buy weird off brands at your own discounted risk. What happens in 12 months when you need new brush heads?

@jjohns71 Just wait for the next time Meh sells Pursonic tooth brushes again, with a supply of brushheads – probably be within the year.

@jjohns71 With 12 brush heads included that’s about 36 months or 3 years worth. The MFR & Amazon sell them for about $25ea.

Points for the write-up this time. It was special. Although I was really looking for a baby arm pic, so there’s that.
@bcastl01 Definitely stars to the meh writer today. The writeup brought a smile to my face.
AFTER
Ah, the ol’ Wun for Wednesday deal.
Purchased the lower model of this for $24.00
Works quite well. I consider I’m paying two bucks a brush and getting the handle and charging base for free. Worth every penny. Not sure this model is worth the extra ten dollars.

@mehcuda67- but u have teeth, my Grasshopper. And to think, I Love Teeth, but a Dentist, not so much!!
@squishybrain Me too. I really dislike the timer, but these are great otherwise.
Meh shoulda sold loads of candy corn a few weeks before this product was offered; mighta been good motivation for buying this.

Everything you nagging mother wanted in a battery operated cylindrical shape, even with changeable tips to keep at top performance.
I just bought a Sonicare.

@Pantheist I only charged mine when it died, the battery still didn’t last.
Used to hold a charge for weeks, now I’m lucky if I get a few days.
I do NOT Have any Teeth at all, so what should I do? Can Any Of You Help Me Grow Any TEETH??
@decoratedwarvet actually… yes
I Want Teeth
Teeth!!!
Can this be used to remove Cheerios from one’s butt-crack?..Asking for a friend…

I think she names here Gerard.
@cengland0 crap. I meant “hers”
@cengland0 this was followed by 6 minutes of howling laugh-track laughter
@cengland0 this scene was so funny.

Very soft bristles on the brush heads - short life.
I bought an earlier version (with the UV sterilizer)
But then switched to a low-end (snap on brushes) Sonicare instead.

@mfladd You’re just a trendsetter. You should let me know when you buy stuff so I can find a better deal on it shortly after.
Hey Kids, guess what procrastination Santa got you for stocking stuffers!
I ultimately decided to get it strictly because I’ve been using the same brushes way too long and it’s about to be New Years.
