@mehdaf If $27 is pricey for something that’s reusable for so long, you probably can’t afford to be spending time on the internet making weird comments.
@shadowsknight I got one from here another time they sold it. In a couple months I had to use its warranty for a replacement. Not long after it just stopped working. Not worth it even at this price.
I have the version that I bought here without the UV and it is great. Best toothbrush I’ve ever owned and I’ll never go back to Braun. This is a really good deal.
@RiotDemon The way I see it is, if you’re in sync with the timer, you don’t need it, and if you’re not in sync with the timer, you’ll move on before you’ve fully covered an area because the timer told you to, unless you’re brushing style is kinda all over the shop within said area. Maybe it’s cause I don’t brush in quadrants, which to me seems like a weird way to break it down.
I’ve had it since the last time. Battery lasts a really long time. They recommend kinda holding the brush and letting the bristles do the work, but I felt like my teeth were absolutely disgusting if I did that. I basically brush like normal, and the sonic stuff is just extra.
The first few days was pretty hard to get over the ticklish feeling… I used a spin brush prior, and that didn’t tickle. It doesn’t tickle anymore.
I actually feel like my teeth are a little whiter since I switched to this, but that might be in my head.
I don’t recommend trying to use this with several people switching the heads. Some of the heads are super tight and hard to switch.
@RiotDemon You’re definitely doing something wrong. Brushing firmly like with a regular brush prevents the vibration from doing anything, and the vibration is quite effective at getting crap off your teeth.
@Telanis well, my teeth didn’t feel clean if I just let the brush do it’s thing.
My teeth feel cleaner than when I use a manual brush. Even though I’m brushing, I can still feel the vibrating. I don’t push down hard enough to stop the pulsing.
My Philips Sonicare ain’t broke. Ain’t gonna fix it. Although this is about half the cost of the real deal. The quarter timer pause is a great feature too.
I bought this last time they were on sale and have used it everyday. The bristles on the toothbrush almost seem to soft but my teeth do feel clean when I am done. I like this product and recommend it. It is better than the Panasonic one they had a few years back. On that one the head would not stay attached while brushing that isn’t a problem with this one.
@NapkinEater if you travel, wait for the Philips Sonicare and the black friday sales at Sam’s or Costco. For about $90 or less you get two units, a travel case that holds two heads, charger base and some brush heads. The charge lasts easily a week or two. Buy refill heads with the bristle pattern or firmness you like, they’re interchangeable. From official Diamondcare ($10ea on sale) to knockoffs ($3ea).
I’m an Oral B man, myself. Sonic is okay for screwdrivers and drive in burger joints with annoying spokesdudes who should retire, but when it comes to my mouth, this is not how you sonic.
I’d consider it because the UV thing seems kinda nifty, although it takes up a fair bit of counter space. HOWEVER I just replaced my 10-year-old Philips Sonicare with another brand-new Philips Sonicare which was like $24 from Amazon and honestly, a total steal. I think this Pursonic operates on the same principal and take it from a lady who used to have problem gums - these sonic toothbrushes are the way to go. Gentle but thorough (like I like my men?). I don’t even need to floss anymore (shh don’t tell my hygienist, she thinks I still do).
The real Sonicare Essence toothbrush has been on sale a few times lately for $20 from Amazon. It’s awesome. The brush heads are a little expensive, but if you wait for a deal, Costco/Amazon has them on sale a few times a year.

@MehnofLaMehncha steam clean and bleach dear sir, do a shiny bathroom make…
@mehdaf
Used all the bleach making my own acid wash jeans
@MehnofLaMehncha you mean alkaline wash jeans, right?
@mehdaf Ha! You must have a pH D!
@mehdaf and a master debater.
@mehvermore just B.S.

@Telanis assuming that’s true, it’s a huge waste of my time to reply to your post then right? Argh! You got me!
Reviews don’t look good

I got one last time too. No issues and it works super well.
But what does Wash DC’s not very famous '80s new wave band, Four Out of Five Doctors think about it?
Just get new teeth every few years.
Got one for my son last time around. It’s still working fine
@jake5snooze how long ago was that…and does he use it twice a day?
Brushing up on deals tonight meh
Is the UV for brushing your uvula?
@KDemo It’s for cleaning your vuvuzela.
@KDemo it’ll behoove ya … to care for your uvula.
@KDemo I don’t have a uvula.
@wissportsfan thanks for the information.
I have the version that I bought here without the UV and it is great. Best toothbrush I’ve ever owned and I’ll never go back to Braun. This is a really good deal.
@bsci87
I’ll never go back to Braun … outstanding warrants for me there
And can’t go back to Rockville, either
@MehnofLaMehncha Ready for Halloween?
@mike808 Who you gonna call Pumpkinbusters. Louder now PUMPKINBUSTERS!!!
Own it. I enjoy it. Better half owns it, also enjoys it.
The timer pausing thing sounds annoying.
@nogoodwithnames it’s so you brush in quadrants, so you can deliver the brushing evenly.
Sometimes I do that, sometimes I ignore it.
@RiotDemon The way I see it is, if you’re in sync with the timer, you don’t need it, and if you’re not in sync with the timer, you’ll move on before you’ve fully covered an area because the timer told you to, unless you’re brushing style is kinda all over the shop within said area. @nogoodwithnames It’s for a split second. It doesn’t matter unless you have a weird fetish for undisturbed vibration on your teeth
I’m taking the risk.

As my father (a dentist) always used to say, ignore your teeth and they’ll go away.
@rv617 My Grandma had a sticker on her mirror while I was growing up: “Don’t floss all your teeth, just the ones you want to keep.”
I’ve had it since the last time. Battery lasts a really long time. They recommend kinda holding the brush and letting the bristles do the work, but I felt like my teeth were absolutely disgusting if I did that. I basically brush like normal, and the sonic stuff is just extra.

Just like that hot cheerleader in high school.

@Telanis Why do you have crap on your teeth?
Just smoke menthols. Your breath will always be minty fresh and you’ll never need to brush again!
My Philips Sonicare ain’t broke. Ain’t gonna fix it. Although this is about half the cost of the real deal. The quarter timer pause is a great feature too.
Bought one last time. It’s great for the price, but for the quality I haven’t seen anything top Somicare DiamondClean.
I bought this last time they were on sale and have used it everyday. The bristles on the toothbrush almost seem to soft but my teeth do feel clean when I am done. I bought this last time it was on sale. Really terrible job cleaning my teeth. Maybe too soft, did not leave my teeth feeling clean.
I got one last time and love it.
How many times can it brush on a full charge? I frequently travel and wouldn’t want to pack that base.
@NapkinEater But it’s all about that base, bout that base, no trouble.
@NapkinEater if you travel, wait for the Philips Sonicare and the black friday sales at Sam’s or Costco. @NapkinEater I get around 3 weeks, brushing at least twice a day.
Will it work on 220 volts?
@hdcarver If you cut it in half with scissors. The base charger is likely 120V US only. Travel adapter be yo friend, bro.
I bought this well over a year ago and it’s better than the one my dentist recommended, at a third of the price. I love this toothbrush.
It’s okay. My UV light stopped working after a month, and it’s not a very strong toothbrush as far as the motor
@wickhameh It vibrates 500 times per second. How is that not strong enough? What are you trying to do, blast off your enamel?
@Telanis strength is measured in more than vibrations per second. I’m comparing this to my old WaterPik toothbrush, which was a lot stronger.
I’m an Oral B man, myself. Sonic is okay for screwdrivers and drive in burger joints with annoying spokesdudes who should retire, but when it comes to my mouth, this is not how you sonic.

I’ve had one of these for over a year. Works great, no problems.
I’d consider it because the UV thing seems kinda nifty, although it takes up a fair bit of counter space. A poor imitation of a Sonicare brush.
Does a poorer job than my old Oral-B spinbrush.
Bought it last time it was offered - you’re much better off spending another $15 on the basic Sonicare model.
The real Sonicare Essence toothbrush has been on sale a few times lately for $20 from Amazon. It’s awesome. The brush heads are a little expensive, but if you wait for a deal, Costco/Amazon has them on sale a few times a year.
Something tells me this may have been a bad idea.
Bought it last time. Like it. Have to take it off the charger at night because of the blue light. Some people might like that for a night light.
@LittleLulu I only put it on the charger once a month.

@mediocrebot yes!
I like this toothbrush, I bought it back in July. However the UV light broke for some reason and I need to get on that warrenty asap
power input is 110v ~ 240v?
only 110v?
Love it!!!
can I buy another?
