Xtreme Purple. What a wonderful name for a purple color and I bet it's a wonderful price, too. But I'd love to have one. @looseneck, do you think we could get a buy one/get one free deal? I'd split the price with you.

And that article--it sure wasn't very favorable about the color. What's wrong with those people?

MoPar had "In Violet" and "Plum Crazy" high impact colors on its muscle cars. Its not surprising with all the 'retro' efforts going on for the last 10-15 years that they start pulling forward the colors. The Charger was already made available in some of the old colors (or close) over the last few years.

Still... the Wrangler? I'll agree about the reservations to putting that color on the Wrangler. The toy-Jeep Renegade? Sure. But the Grand and the Wrangler? Sounds like a pretty limited appeal selection.

- @Barney I'm talking about high impact purple needing to be reserved for the extra special cars, not the staid old 4 door sedans (or modern SUV equivalents).

- @Barney I like purple, but not on an Imperial LeBaron, station wagon, or pickup truck. But I'd consider a purple (new) Dart. Or Mustang. Not a new Challenger though (other color prefs rule that one, but I'd take a Plum Crazy '71...).

- @duodec I don't know that I'd call a new Dart extra special, but that's just me. Other than that, I get your point. Purple fits on some cars, not others.

- @djslack The Dart is semi-cute, semi-sporty. Purple with the right trim colors would work. I don't want a (new) Dart, I just think its a good example of a purple-favoring car.
