@reclaimercube Thanks - they’re fun to do. We let each of the kids design and either carve or “carve” their pumpkins. We used to have some fun being creative before the kids, but that predates digital photos (at least for me).
Over the years, they would draw the designs they wanted, with varying amounts of support. It was funny watching the complexity of my oldest’s designs actually decline, as he began to start carving them himself. He realized quickly that his desire for creativity was outmatched by his ineptitude with a knife. He’s now old enough to wield the knife and realize his own creations.
The younger two are now starting to have to debate whether fancier designs are worth the lost pride in needing help in carving them…
@shahnm that reminds me of one of my last GISH tasks. Bake a cabbage pie and calculate the volume of a slice (show your work). Found a recipe online and…voila!! But…yuck
Don’t know how clear any of those are, but these are last years. We don’t carve pumpkins until the weekend before halloween so they stay nice.

@narfcake did you actually do that?
@reclaimercube Nope. You’re talking about someone who can mess up drawing stick figures.
@narfcake you’re preaching to the choir. I can write for days but can’t draw for shit.
Here are a few from the shahnm clan, over the years…
@shahnm THOSE ARE AWESOME!!! WOW

@shahnm my parents never let me have this much with pumpkins…either that or I’m just lacking the creativity gene
@shahnm The use of that oddly shaped pumpkin to make a skull is awesome.
No idea why it’s sideways though but I did these last week. :3
@Abyssrea okay the nose of the left one looks like Peter Griffin’s chin…
saw this online

@shahnm oh yeah, and that other thing…crap I’m such a procrastinator!!
Last year’s.
@RiotDemon spectacular!!
@RiotDemon Wow!
@llangley @mossygreen thanks!
Keep it simple. They get all mushy quick here, so not worth a lot of time.
