I love this site, the hardware means nothing, it’s all about the capsules. I have subsidized capsules at work, $0.25 for whatever you want, and yet I am still intrigued by this hot mess…
This is a setup… tomorrow they’re going to sell us cups. I just know it. Big ole giant cups that would make no sense to be used with espresso, but they’re gonna try to find a way to tie it in. I’m on to you, Meh!
Cheaper than buying the coffee alone. In for one (at least). Considering a second or third just for the coffee but it would be way past the expiration date by the time I drink them. Not just a little past.
1 per day = 100 days = over 3 months of coffee. Nah, I’ll get just one today.
@vanslaterco - I got one last time, LOVED both it AND the taste of the pods included (every bit as good as my Nepresso pods). So much so, in fact, that i just bought THREE of these. No kidding. No hesitation. And… the pods are vacuum sealed. Why the hullabaloo over “stale”, I truly do not get. The last ones were past their prime date as well, and…well, see “Nepresso comment” above.
Yes, REALLY. THREE.
@vanslaterco I do like mine, bought last time here. I use my Aeropress most of the time, but use the Polti on occasion… either when in a big rush, or for a ‘small’ coffee/espresso in afternoon.
Is this worth anything once the 100 capsules run out? Can I use it with regular beans? I like grinding my beans fine, which you’re supposed to do with espresso, so if there’s some way to use my own fresh ground shit with this, maybe I can consider it.

Not sure if the problem below was due to using Polti pods in a Lavazza machine. Not too familiar with these different pod systems. I miss the machine we used to have at work which used some foil pouch rather than a pod. It made fairly good coffee and really good tea.

Don’t bother with this product. Of the box I got, at least a quarter were defective. By that I mean that the thin perforated plastic film holding the coffee into the capsule would split while in the espresso machine - resulting in goo and a 15 minute cleanup of the espresso machine. It’s a real pity that these appear to be poorly made because the coffee itself seems to be of good quality. I like the Lavazza original but was looking for other flavors. I will stick to Lavazza originals in future because at least I know they won’t split. Part of the attraction of the machine is the fact that the capsules are ‘clean’. If I wanted to be cleaning goo I would go buy ‘proper’ espresso and be grinding and stamping myself!
@elpepe I love expired packaged foods! There is a store in my town that specializes in it. I get cans of Almond Roca from them for $1. Not stale at all. The also sell jerky for $1 - $1.5 for a normal sized bag, slim jims 8/$1…I loves it.
@elpepe@elpepe I used to buy expired k-cups all the time. I got a deal once 96 random cups for $15. They are sealed in nitrogen so in theory they really don’t get bad. Actually I bought some ones last night on closeout at the store and just noticed the sell by date was April.
@givemeyoursoul I live on expired foods. You wouldn’t happen to be near a BB’s, would you? One of their stores just had a sale - 10 Slim Jim’s for $1 instead of the normal 8. People were digging around like mad.
@elpepe ok, but you do have some limits right? I had a friend that would Still eat lunch meat after the expire date. If it didnot look right he would even go so far as to rinse the slime off in the sink before he ate it. (Sorry if that is too much info)
Wish they had a store like you guys describe here in Oklahoma.
Let me BOIL it down for you. It’s INSTANT COFFEE!! You know the stuff you’d just say no to if someone said "do you want some coffee-all I have is INSTANT"
Even if it was real ground fresh beans, this machine lacks the presure and the water temp. to make a proper Espresso.
@growyoungagain From what I have been reading, it is ‘instant’ not as in “dried coffee juice crystals, re-hydration”, but as in “prepared very quickly”. They claim 45 seconds from power-on to brewed.
I make tea in my Nespresso using third party capsules that are either filled for me or that I fill myself.
Black tea is perfect if you brew just enough water to wet the leaves and stop it then leave it for a few minutes and brew the lungo size. Voila a cup of tea with my loose leaf teas and I don’t have to clean my tea strainer constantly.
Green tea tastes bitter, probably because it’s too hot to brew green.
I’m not even going to attempt white tea.
Herbal teasans work just like the black tea method and are wonderful.
I can brew at least 4 cups with one capsule of black tea or teasan. In my opinion, loose leaf tea is meant to be brewed all or most of the day like they do it in China.
Still, @ $0.25 per for up to 100 espressos (espressi?), I’m taking the chance. And then, maybe just maybe, I can reverse-engineer some of the cups to be reusable…
Or we could all stop generating all the garbage created by disposable coffee pods and just make a damn pot of coffee. But no, is really cheap and easy, so who gives a fr@ck
@grazapin@Charliethedog are you sure that if you add in the wasted energy/water/coffee for overbrewing, and the element used to keep the pot warm… that single cup makers are really wasting?
@thismyusername guess I’m more concerned about the trash and my time wasted waiting for the cup to brew. While I have to agree keeping the pot hot probably uses more electricity… I’m more bothered by the trash
But it looks like this might produce less trash than a k cup.
Honestly whatever floats your boat. Capitalism I say and if pod coffee turns you on so be it… As long as I don’t have to pay for it do what you want.
@Charliethedog so far most k cups I’ve tried (when that is all there is) have been pretty meh… but then I’m used to a french press and espresso
I was just pointing out that generally in these cases where people cry “waste waste waste” usually many components are not taken into consideration. For example… plastic bags… did you know you would need to use a cloth grocery bag over 100 times to make up for its environmental impact compared to a single use plastic bag? The reusable ones made of plastic you need to use at least 10 times.
People don’t consider the water use, the resources to produce the power, the coffee beans etc. and I was just trying to point that out!
@thismyusername nope I didn’t (on the bags)… I can’t say that I’m surprised either. Most folks that vilify plastic users don’t consider the life cycle costs of the alternative. Folks talking common sense like you (and I often do) are decried as flat earthers.
Tossing those little cups has always bugged me (so does bottled water). When the alternatives are so easy in my mind (reuseable Kcup or just a good old coffee filter and a bottle. )
Heck what do I know though. I like burning coal to generate electricity. Lord knows the two of us alone have wasted more time on this subject than it is worth.
Bought one last time. Expired capsules taste fine. If you check the old comment thread you’ll see nobody was able to identify a compatible capsule, so buying from Polti is your only option. Still a good deal. I took mine to the office and its pretty popular, so I’m in for some spares in case it breaks before I run out of capsules.
So I used my 50 dollar coupon that I got last time when I bought this to buy 3 more. That’s some seriously cheap coffee!
My wife loves the ease of use and simplicity of it, I love the price. Even the expired coffee from last time was perfectly fine. No this isn’t as good as a nice cup from my DeLonghi, but it’s sure as hell better than mcd’s, Burger King, etc.
I got the machine last time with the surprisingly expired capsules. the machine works well though occasionally on the second batch i ordered from Polti the capsule doesn’t seem to puncture completely and almost nothing comes out of the nozzle (instead it mostly leaks in the back).
Warning - There are capsules that look identical, mostly sold in europe, that are “lavazza aroma point espresso” classic / original or FAP format. However, those capsules seem to require either a greater pressure or a different kind of puncture so they almost always leak from the back instead of working properly.
The machine is still going strong though the pressure seems to vary a bit and it “surges” now and then.
So I’ve been using an Aeropress for years, and I have a subscription to a coffee club that sends me a pound of freshly roasted beans of each of two different single-origin coffees every month, which I grind freshly with a burr grinder before every cup… so of course I’m in for one. (granted different niches as Aeropress isn’t quite espresso, but…)
So tempted, but 1/3 of the limited flavors are out of stock and there is a hefty delivery charge for 50 pods, for orders below $ 100 delivery is charged at a flat rate of $7.95. This makes each 1oz shot $.76.
I just don’t need to toss away espresso machines like printers right now.
@remmeh Sooooo…that’s DOUBLE this Meh. price, and that’s not good enough for ya? $.25/cup of coffee not a good enough deal? THAT’S IT, MEH!! WE DON’T HAVE TO STAND FOR THIS HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!! IT’S SLIGHTLY CHEAPER THAN YOU SAID IT WAS SOMEWHERE ELSE, SO YOU CHARGING HALF THE CHEAPEST PRICE POSSIBLE IS NOT!!! GOOD!!! ENOUGH!!! GOOD DAY, MEH!..(points at door)…I SAID GOOD DAY, SIR!!
For the love of God…SMH…
SO… do these work with the Nespresso pods or not. I am not clear from the above back and forths on some of the comments if they are talking about using them in this machine or some other machine. Anyone have any input on that?
@obxer Looking at some of the ‘refillable’ Nespresso compatibles they look real similar to the Polti pods, just not sure if they would actually work or not. I have also seen ‘hacks’ for reusing spent cartridges for pods on “instructables” that might work with the Polti pods. Sigh… so many variables…
@chienfou NOPE. Flat out no. I know because I have a Nepresso Innisimo… Insiimio…Intistimitio… the one with the pods that DON’T look like a flying saucer, and they are NOT interchangeable. Nor can you use Lavazza pods/capsules/whatever. I have tried both, and it’s not happenin’. Polti pods only from all my experiments so far. They LOOK like they SHOULD work, but they absolutely do not. I really love the machine, and I really love the coffee, and at this price using one as a damn herb garden planter after the pods run out is still a great deal, but the pursuit of compatible pods has been very fruitless.
@shubydoo So really no chance of user fillable pods? I have a (long unused) Keurig that I have some fillable baskets for. Even with those, I could never get the coffee strong enough, so I’ve ended up using a stovetop Bialetti. (Nespresso is a Nestle product and I don’t buy Nestle stuff.) But, if I could get pods to put my own coffee into, this would be GREAT!
I am guessing since this isn’t sold on Amazon right now and it’s $215 off list price this thing isn’t worth the buy unless you need the capsules. Any thoughts?
Welcome back (almost) meh, it was nice to see almost useful stuff at cheap prices that are fun to talk about. If it weren’t for that stupid circuit breaker stuff, it would almost feel nostalgic. We just need the beauty sleepers whining to complete the ambiance, And you’re depriving us of that!
I’ve spent nearly $25 on a single French press before so I had no hesitation about buying this one. I can’t say I’m a super coffee person but I’ve always wanted to be able to make espresso.
Here’s a thought. Buy one from each place, that way your replacement coffee (IF it actually isn’t expired…) is cheaper than buying it direct from Polti at $0.76 per cup and you now have 2 machines you can use in different spots.
I’m concerned about the availability of capsules in the future… You can’t buy them at Amazon. You can only get them from the manufacturer’s website, and they are sold out of two of the three varieties.
The parent website detailing the products only has broken links to purchase them, so I’m curious if this is a one-time-use machine.
@chienfou So we’re talking 20 weeks of daily work-day espressos… Then I guess I throw it away if I can’t find pods? For $25 though, I suppose I could just buy multiple machines. I’m not afraid of “expired” coffee…
@aardWolf Also before I bought mine this morning on the manufactures site they had both of the non-decaf flavors, my guess is they sold out from people buying these today then swamping there site, I feel comfy they will restock and have all available soon lol then I’ll be buying a pkg of both Crema and Sublime
@aardWolf contacted Polti… for what it’s worth… and they said they have no current or future plans to discontinue this machine and that the pods will be back in stock but couldn’t commit to a timeframe…
@chienfou story of my life…Actually check the other’s links and they are different. So, went back to my link and they have jacked the price to $63! You think meh has has affected the world market on Polti?
@icehole FWIW I reported this listing to ebay and wrote the seller to call him/her/shim out on the bait and switch for a $600 expresso machine.
That being said, remember that “imitation is the best form of flattery”…
@icehole Meh could look for 6 of these going to the same address in Woodside, NY, and cross check the duplicate accounts… Then cancel the orders and the accounts.
@chienfou OK, so the seller changed the listing title, but has the description data for the Breville BES870XL in the body of their listing. Still NOT COOL!
i
@icehole OK, that’s done! The seller pulled the item as it was listed. So far, no new posting that I can see (Seller has been active only a little over a month !)
Same Breville model number scam, with the cut & paste Meh! ad copy…
Scumbag.
Part of the reason we have the “pause” … also causing items to sell out early, taking espresso from the hands of hard working Americans, who want to buy for their own use, not to profit 278% on them.
I hope he chokes on the 6 that he purchased.
As a person who comes to work and starts the day with a big ol’ glass of ice water I feel a certain sadness for all you coffee junkies. But I don’t judge and love the smell of coffee in the morning - just can’t stand to drink the stuff.
I am tempted to get one at 4 pm. I don’t drink my espresso sans dairy, but if I can stand expired espresso pods then maybe I’ll get a Neopresso machine when it goes on sale for under a C-note. If I don’t like espresso at home, it was only a $25 experiment.
Looking at the manual, it says, “A few moments later, the
coffee will start to come out. Once the desired quantity of
coffee has been dispensed, press the switch/indicator light again to stop delivery. You can thus prepare a long or short coffee according to preference, by simply dosing the quantity delivered.”
Does this mean that if you are not paying attention, you’ll have hot stale espresso water all over your counter and floor as it dispenses the entire contents of the water reservoir? Sounds like a bad design to me.
@sjk3 Nope, just means you CAN stop it, not that you HAVE TO stop it. That wording is strange indeed, but the machine puts out an espresso shot or a petite cupful depending on which you select, and then it stops. I personally hit the espresso twice per pod and use one Crema pod and one Sublime pod per cup, that’s my perfect size-strength. You control how much comes out at any one time with the selection, and can stop either with the push of the big button if you have to.
OH Facepalm that was 4pm Eastern, not Central… sat on the fence so long I got splinters…and nothing else! Maybe next time (when the pods will have expired… now!)
So I run in right before they lock me out of the mail-room and grab my 2 packages… thinking of the espresso buzz I will soon be enjoying… get home get the machine out washed ready to go… open the other package to get the pods…
… it wasn’t even from meh… so my expired caffeinated goodness is still sitting in the mail-room… locked away from me until tomorrow
@thismyusername So I received my capsules today… Lil worried, the date on all the capsule packaging says 03/2016… Is that the Packaging date or Expiration date? Yikes! Anybody get the same? Maybe it tastes better when aged? I unno…
@benjkwo It brought up in the very first line of the writeup.
Look, we’re just gonna make this clear right up front: the 100 AromaPolti capsules that come with this Polti Capri espresso maker are past their “Best Before” dates. Their prime generally peaked sometime this past spring. So how dare we still sell them?
No issues reported. You want outdated? - last year, I found an box of coffee pods with a “best before” 2009 last year. They were vacuum packed and sealed; I had zero qualms brewing it up.
Got my machine yesterday and pods today. Just made a shot of each variety. Surprisingly tasty – certainly equals what I get from my Nespresso machine. Really happy with the purchase! And it also is a decently good looking machine.
Missed this the first time round, arrived this week and got it hooked up today in the office - both flavors are excellent! For $25 its definitely better than a kick in the leg, just wish it was a little quieter then I could discretely get my Espresso on in my cube
So cool coffeemaker ! It’s first which I wanted to buy after my old Gagga. I thought to give my parents for Christmas one of this budgethttp://jonsguide.org/best-home-espresso-machine-reviews/but after I saw…I think will gift Polti and after will make change
Heads up to all you fellow proud espresso machine owners: http://www.polti-usa.com/coffee is back in stock with espresso pods, $30 for 50 pods. Don’t get your hopes up for the amazing freshness of new pods, I couldn’t tell the difference in a blind taste test.
I finally bit the bullet and ordered more Crema pods on the Polti website. FYI, they have a buy 2 get 1 deal going. It was $70 (with shipping) for 150 pods, so under $.50 per espresso.

@ponagathos did the one from work look like this?
If so that is Nespresso, and it’s still in production.
K-cup isn’t really about espresso, it’s more about a cup o’ joe.
Nespresso and these (Polti Capri) are espresso pod machines… there is also the ESP standard for espresso pods as well!
@thismyusername
No. It was similar to these Flavia pouches.
@ponagathos neat, I have not run across those yet!
@thismyusernameI believe it’s E.S.E. (an Italian licensed standard for coffee pods/systems)
you’re really selling coffee beyond its “best by” date? aka expired?

@thismyusername I still stand by my comment in my 2nd paragraph. More pressure in a cheap coffee maker does’nt mean a better cup of Joe Espresso.
@capnk That’s too quickly, especially if you’re making tea. Tea needs to be steeped longer.
@growyoungagain
I make tea in my Nespresso using third party capsules that are either filled for me or that I fill myself.

Lord knows the two of us alone have wasted more time on this subject than it is worth.
can someone who bought this a couple months ago comment on how it worked?
@zachtheasian someone did above and bought another 3 this time.
Great an automatic …wait this isn’t an auto feed scanner.
I have a La Pavoni lever press espresso machine I found for $40. Why am I even looking at this?
@radi0j0hn that’s exactly me, only I have a different 19 bar pump espresso machine and I home roast my beans…
/giphy I don’t need this but I want it and I don’t understand why
What a great way to try vintage expired coffee!
Can you make a robot hand with this? Like this one:
So I used my 50 dollar coupon that I got last time when I bought this to buy 3 more. That’s some seriously cheap coffee!
My wife loves the ease of use and simplicity of it, I love the price. Even the expired coffee from last time was perfectly fine. No this isn’t as good as a nice cup from my DeLonghi, but it’s sure as hell better than mcd’s, Burger King, etc.
/giphy priceless-ruby-design
@michaelahess $50 coupon what?
/giphy making us jelly wit yo $50 coupon
@JonJon FAP format…
@JonJon
I bought some European capsules on accident instead of Nespresso and had to just leave them for the hotel maid before I flew home.
@givemeyoursoul the italians invented FAPping in the 80s!
@5665150
And I was hoping for a bluetooth speaker…
@mjphillips26
hell, I’m in for three…
@bigtom67
/giphy you the real mvp
So I’ve been using an Aeropress for years, and I have a subscription to a coffee club that sends me a pound of freshly roasted beans of each of two different single-origin coffees every month, which I grind freshly with a burr grinder before every cup… so of course I’m in for one. (granted different niches as Aeropress isn’t quite espresso, but…)
/giphy fierce-unready-destruction
@Orenj Aeropress isn’t quite espresso and neither is this.
@Orenj that should be /giphy cheap-shot-video
@chienfou I’m not really one for the sportsball, so I’ll have to take your word for it. Hmm, what was my other image choice? Let’s see…
/image fierce-unready-destruction
@Orenj Wait, is /image just an alias for /giphy? lol…
/giphy sportsball
DAYUMMM WYOMING. Y’all dig espresso much?!
/giphy me being obnoxious
@connorbush thank you for the nightmares.
@connorbush Why yes we do love our coffee…a lot…
I don’t even drink coffee and I read this this whole thread. Would coffee help me sleep better?
Just noticed something. Specs say, “Pump pressure: 19 bar” but I don’t believe it has a pump. I think this one is a steam pressure model instead.
List Price for the Capri on Polti’s US website is $179
In for the hat trick!
/giphy striped-reliant-termite
http://www.polti-usa.com/us/catalog/consumer/350059/350574
So tempted, but 1/3 of the limited flavors are out of stock and there is a hefty delivery charge for 50 pods, for orders below $ 100 delivery is charged at a flat rate of $7.95. This makes each 1oz shot $.76.
I just don’t need to toss away espresso machines like printers right now.
Eh. Checked Amazon and else where and the price comparison is more like $45-55. No thanks!!!
@remmeh which is about 200% of the meh price… so what exactly is the problem here…think BOGO
@chienfou From the look of the pods, no chance.
Bought it.
wailing-vengeful-thief
Nice
Here’s the manual… OMG I so want to order this but just can’t pull the trigger!
I am guessing since this isn’t sold on Amazon right now and it’s $215 off list price this thing isn’t worth the buy unless you need the capsules. Any thoughts?
Not a coffee drinker. I’m glad I didn’t wait up last night!
The coffee pods alone are worth $25.00…
I had to bite the bullet on this one. In for 3!
As a narcoleptic… this deal just made my heart sing!
First purchase ever from Meh… this one is definitely not “meh” to me! Thank you!!!
Capsules, huh? How about I just cut out the middle man and use them as enemas?
@ehsfoewa
Um, I mean… THAT’S BRILLIANT!
@ehsfoewa …ummm did you mean suppositories?
@ehsfoewa why not both?.. coffee AND enema!
This is a no brained, if you have one. If not, buy it anyway , & maybe Meh will throw in a brain to go with it!!
@Dachshundlover …spell check is not your friend…
@chienfouthanks Mr brainiac. Can I have your brain please to send to the spell check gods?
@Dachshundlover …and again…
@chienfou thanks wise one
@Dachshundlover …you’re welcome…
Wait! I just realized I should be able to vacuum bag the pods in my meh foodsaver and keep them ‘forever’ almost…
It looks like someone is selling via Amazon for $37 (+$11.97 for shipping) - here
@paxprobellum And the capsules don’t appear to be expired on that offer.
@phillynails at least, they don’t mention them being expired…
Here’s a thought. Buy one from each place, that way your replacement coffee (IF it actually isn’t expired…) is cheaper than buying it direct from Polti at $0.76 per cup and you now have 2 machines you can use in different spots.
I’m concerned about the availability of capsules in the future… You can’t buy them at Amazon. You can only get them from the manufacturer’s website, and they are sold out of two of the three varieties.
The parent website detailing the products only has broken links to purchase them, so I’m curious if this is a one-time-use machine.
@aardWolf nope… it’s a HUNDRED time use machine…
@nichojr I ended up getting two in the sixty seconds we had before it sold out again…
@aardWolf congrats! the “pause” worked for you!
@aardWolf
Don’t toss it. Keep your box and mail it to me. Ill cover shipping.
Polti on Amazon for $37.00
@accelerator …late to the party (see a few messages above yours from paxprobellum)
@chienfou story of my life…Actually check the other’s links and they are different. So, went back to my link and they have jacked the price to $63! You think meh has has affected the world market on Polti?
It appears a … ahem entrepManure …
Damn spell check!
“entrepreneur” is already selling 5 of these on eBay as “Breville” units for $69.99.
That’s where the “creativity” ended, as they cut and pasted the Meh description verbatim.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Breville-BES870XL-Barista-Express-Espresso-Machine-100-Capsules-FREE-POlTI-CAPRI-/322238489738?hash=item4b06e9248a:g:90sAAOSw-itXvR06
@icehole WOW… talk about bait-and-switch!
@icehole yes. Good point. And whoever they are is pretty optimistic about the turn around time to list a delivery date of on or before 9/2. Ha!
@chienfou OK, so the seller changed the listing title, but has the description data for the Breville BES870XL in the body of their listing. Still NOT COOL!
i
@icehole You had me at the obscure Jim Varney reference. Excellent turn.
@icehole OK, that’s done! The seller pulled the item as it was listed. So far, no new posting that I can see (Seller has been active only a little over a month !)
@chienfou They also have Adidas Monster headphones for sale that likely came from Meh.
@icehole sheesh they even included the model number commentary. Yuck!
@chienfou
He’s baaaaak!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/POLTI-CAPRI-Espresso-Machine-100-Capsules-FREE-/322254547107?hash=item4b07de28a3:g:90sAAOSw-itXvR06
Carry on.
@Boiler3k Junkie?! I usually only have one cup a day!
@narfcake I hate to say it but I drink my hot tea in a 64oz cup and have just had a 100oz one bought for me (yes, I am down to 2 cups a day now),
@narfcake Kudos to you but I think you hold a minority position among responders
Hate pod coffee. It’s so like pod people.
So how come I seem to have bought one of these?
/giphy addicted shopper
@f00l
well, that giphy is irrelevant, but I’m keeping it.
@f00l I thought maybe they were time capsules…
keep waiting for the future to arrive when you can buy a machine that makes Espresso Machines
@username
/giphy captain Picard earl grey hot
@username Polti has some of those but they are VERY expensive. They use them to make these!
@username Then what you need is a 3-D printer.
I,m not even even sure the government can afford those yet.
@growyoungagain Monoprice Select Mini 3D Printer - $199.99
@username Don’t you know those are time capsules that come with this machine?
How about a new site - expired Meh - that sells one large quantity of food a day (for a massive discount)?
@cmrk3 I might be in for that, especially with VMP already active!
@shubydoo you don’t have to stop it? I have a 12oz + mug and it doesnt stop near the top
/buy
@robm It worked! Your order number is: fuchsia-amok-panther
/image fuchsia amok panther
Dammit, @sammydog01!
/giphy devilish dreamy hill
@narfcake Make mine into a mocha frappe, please.
@sammydog01
/image coffee goat
OH Facepalm that was 4pm Eastern, not Central… sat on the fence so long I got splinters…and nothing else! Maybe next time (when the pods will have expired… now!)
I did not see these selling out when I checked in at midnight. 807. Impressive.
/giphy point to you meh
Did anyone else get 2 shipping numbers?
Just curious…
@thismyusername last time the pods shipped in a seperate box than the machine
@JonJon thanks!
It does pump water well
correction: It wasn’t me! I didn’t miss a box… just checked the tracking number… the pod box doesn’t arrive until Friday. :doh:
@thismyusername The same thing happened to me! All I have is a hot water dispenser until tomorrow.
me thrice… where are thy pods? wait you got a tracking numero? I don’t believe…
@benjkwo yea look on the orders page, it should have 2 listed
@thismyusername So I received my capsules today… Lil worried, the date on all the capsule packaging says 03/2016… Is that the Packaging date or Expiration date? Yikes! Anybody get the same? Maybe it tastes better when aged? I unno…
@benjkwo It brought up in the very first line of the writeup.
@billongings yea the crema pods I get a slight stale/out of date thing happening, but the sublime ones I can’t tell.
My fix will be to use the crema ones in the cappuccinos and save the sublime ones for shots.
Just tested a crema in a cappuccino and it was very good… must… stop… drinking… so… much… espresso…
Got the machine today. Definitely worth the money. It makes delicious espresso.
I’ve finally gotten the pods. It… tastes like espresso normally does? I honestly can’t differentiate the two flavors either, but it was worth.
I’m running dangerously low on pods. Bring this deal back, MUST HAVE MORE PODS!!! More. Pods. Need.
@Contrary They sold out, so I’m doubting there will be any more.
I was originally anticipating around one every couple days; I’ve been averaging two a day!
I’ll be doing a teardown in a couple months to see if it can be modified for use with the more common Lavazza EP capsules.
@Contrary you can get them from polti, well the sublime ones at least
http://www.polti-usa.com/us/catalog/consumer/350059/350576
@narfcake I’m hitting three of these in the morning, bummer this deal won’t be back.
@thismyusername Thank you, I’m pondering on that. At 25 cents a shot, I love them, but less so at 60 cents a shot.
@Contrary I hear that, I am getting low myself, am not looking forward to grind, pack, pull… kinda got spoiled by just dropping a pod in
I love this coffee maker. Where do I find the coffee pods?
@caja1017 See above.
So cool coffeemaker ! It’s first which I wanted to buy after my old Gagga. I thought to give my parents for Christmas one of this budgethttp://jonsguide.org/best-home-espresso-machine-reviews/but after I saw…I think will gift Polti and after will make change
@stream26 heads up the De’Longhi EC220b works exactly like the De’Longhi EC155 but has more cup clearance in case you see it on sale etc.
