Basil is my favorite to cook with, but for sheer ease, chives have to be the winner. You can’t kill them, they come back every year. You can substitute them for onions, you just have to cut off a handful. Basil is fussy and gets leggy/woody if you don’t prune it just right.

@mtb002 Oregano is my unkillable herb. Even when it looks like it’s finally had it it’ll spring right back up a few days later.

Always a mix of things. Definitely depends on what I’m cooking but basil tends to get the most use.
