If I had trick-or-treaters, I’d be tempted. But the most I’ve ever had were raccoons. And I suspect, if I led with these, the most I’d have in the future would be raccoons.
I might use these for Halloween treats. Or I might not. I will definitely take some with me for my election clerks on November 4th. And I would not have bought them if I’d had to take the ones with peanut butter. While I like PB, I do not want it in a granola bar or a candy bar (which are just variations on a theme of “Way Too Much Sugar”, IMO). That’s the other reason I skipped the deal when they came up the first time.
@werehatrack You are very noble to be planning for election clerks. It feels like what used to be mundane civic duty is increasingly all trick, no treat.
I bought last week. I’m enjoying them. And when I served them to a VERY picky eater family member (who wouldn’t be shy about telling exactly what she thought) she liked them! Even very happily accepted my offer of some to take home.

Okay you gotta change that wording. Buying something for $40 is, afaict, not going to count as 4x$10 even though I did spend four $10s.
You get $6.66 back for every different type of item you buy (exclusive of an IRK) in the thon that costs $10 or more up to four times.

@stinks Yeppers. I commented to the same effect over on the IRK thread. I agree 100%.
@troy @Dave @Extramedium
@dave @ExtraMedium @stinks @werehatrack Changed to “6.66 back on it for every unique item you purchase over $10”
Uhm…weren’t these $14 per 80 like a week ago?
@PHRoG $14 per 40. $28 total for 80… you had to pick two 40-packs just like this offer
@PHRoG I think those were the mini-bars.
@troy ahhh, yup! Just figured it out myself, lolol. They just got delivered today and I had to go count.

@brainmist Someone check my math, but this seems to come out at $4/lb. I can buy meat for less than this.
@brainmist Your math is fine but… What meat are you buying that’s ready to eat that’s regularly $4/lb? Ground beef in my neighborhood is $5.29 now.
@brainmist @pakopako Chicken is meat. And leg quarters are still under a buck a pound in the big frozen bag.
@brainmist @werehatrack deboning that is hit or miss for me; I prefer the whole chicken for fewer bone chips
Oh thighs. I’m at 1.79/lb when not on sale
@brainmist @pakopako Costco rotisserie chicken?

@werehatrack the peanut butter flavor is very, very muted. If you were to tell me there’s one peanut in the whole bar, I would believe it.
hmmmm
