@ArrakeenMentat@lrichman the heat from the dishwasher exposes tumblers to high and longer heat that has broken the vacuum seal. Been there done that, simple science.
I have these and the 30oz versions. They’ve held up very well through daily use for over a year, keeping cold drinks cold for hours. Only complaint is sometimes the rubber gasket moves out of place on the lid.
@cfg83@mediocrebot – count the legs.
Blue: 1 (upside-down face)
Strawberry Pink: TWO
Green: damaged 2
Silver: FOUR(only 3 are attached. one sliced off by the finely honed stainless steel, and looking up Green in a mischievous-evil manner.
What is up with two purchases ago shipping was around $6.00. The pair of really good larger humidifiers were about $2.00 more recently,
NOW you want $10.00??? These aren’t heavy and shipping destroys the deal. Speaking for a bunch of medics with no account that live off these things in the ambulance in Arizona summers.
I bought four, Is it same shipping if I buy 30? Two per rig times six stations times three shifts.
You do the math, I can’t afford the engine crews or do the math, it’s late.
@phendrick
Don’t know if you are Meh but good idea thinking outside the box.
If you are Meh what is shipping for 30ish units? You have my email, some of the engine crews may likely follow your page for the next time you sell. I still have the Bubba stainless vacuum cups from over 10 years ago used daily.
@craigcush@dave@phendrick We have always charged a flat rate whether you buy 30 or 2, regardless of the product being sold. There’s another thread on it – @ExtraMedium did a great job explaining here

@Kyeh Yeah, but I suddenly realized that they could have replaced the kitty with an upside down bat. However, that would change the subtext of the poster, since an upside down bat is sleeping, aka lazy at work?
@Kyeh Ha ha, I agree. It does completely change the vibe. Chillin’ kitten bat … OMG … I shouldn’t do this. I am sure the AI won’t deliver … but let’s try anyway …

I feel great when I stay inside, drink a hot cup of (peppermint schnapps laced) cocoa or tea, and take a warm shower or bath to soothe my already rested muscles. I don’t need to run…
For some reason I don’t like these. Maybe it is because they are opaque and I like my giant drink cups transparent so I can immediately see from the outside if there’s a sanitary problem on the inside.
@dpease
Believe I read they’re 8/18 stainless steel inside as every vacuum container I’ve seen . Also I use 10 to 1 bleach and water for an hour or so soak then bottle brush and rinse until the bleach smell is gone. Been drinking out of vacuum bottles over 60 years and haven’t gotten sick yet.
Received today, 2/3 of the cup is too thin to have a vacuum seal. Just plastic against metal interior. So maybe the narrower bottom…? Melted a heated needle syringe through the plastic with the plunger back a bit hoping the vacuum would, as tested in the past, be pulled by the vacuum but the opposite occurs. There was pressure in the cup that blew the syringe plunger out! My science class learned and loved it!
China crap. Look nice but not up to my Bubba vacuum all metal cups I purchased from you ages ago. Made in America.
Could you be coerced to bring back the 24oz Bubba again? Survives falls off the top of my car and still maintains cold or hot.
These four are Christmas presents.
@craigcush
Cool idea for testing the presence of vacuum in a cup with plastic parts. Just out of idle curiosity, was there a plan to restore the vacuum if there had been one?

No purple or Georgia Red? WTF?
@heartny No Blue and Gold for the inimitable Cal Bears? UCB!UCB!!UCB!!!
Are these dishwasher safe? Can’t find info on the manufacturer’s site.
@lrichman they are listed as hand-wash only, but my wife has put hers through the dishwasher and they seem fine.
@lrichman Unless it says dishwasher safe, I wouldn’t trust it. Hand wash only, meh!

Aren’t most straws reusable¿? Anyway, I can’t believe they run $80 each!!
@1DisabledWarVet that’s in the land of make believe lol
@1DisabledWarVet The manufacturer’s site saus $40 each. Meh’s math was meh.

@craigcush @phendrick I got curious and checked - you can only buy 20.
@craigcush @Kyeh
Maybe a special dispensation could be arranged by TPTB, for good cause.
Otherwise, a 2nd account takes care of that.

I apologize in advance I couldn’t resist.
@gator3853 It had to be done.
