@Kidsandliz Having just received mine, I can tell you that I have literally never seen such value out of a $30 speaker set. The sound is a bit unbalanced, but it's vastly superior to any television speakers

@ChadP Nope. It is the dreaded "Search Engine Optimization" or SEO. If an URL is around for a long time, it moves up in the rankings. If a merchant lists something as out of stock, then Amazon will move the link to the end of the list or drop it entirely. Once it was back in stock, it would take a long time to climb back up the list. So the sellers just raise the price to something insane when they are out of stock or on vacation. They reset the price when they are back in stock, or return from vacation, and they get to keep their high spot on the search pages.

@katylava I hate the practice. I think the search engines should penalize wild price swings. They should drop those URLs to the bottom of the listings.

@editorkid Not for me. Orders take 7-12 days to get from Dallas to North Carolina. Sometimes the package sits in a Dallas FedEx warehouse for 5 days doing nuffin', going nowhere.

@ardgedee Not to mention it takes the raleigh post office a couple days to put it on a truck after the tracking info says they got it. I just got a package from an Amazon seller that used smartpost- took 5 days longer than the estimated shipping time :-/

@ChadP Swap meets are some awesome things. Sometimes it's all crap, but sometimes you hit something great. I recently picked up an Oktava MK-12-01 microphone for $7, barely used, working great. I've been looking for a cheap, but quality microphone and happened upon it. Price was right, especially when I got home to find it's a $250-300 microphone. My folks sell antiques, actually. Silverware included, unless it's in terrible condition... then they just give it to me to melt off the silver so I can sell that. Haven't had my furnace going for a while, though.

@ChadP I'll trade you it for the ghetto van. Then I will try to see if I can trade the silverware up for something else… maybe if I trade up enough I'll end up with a decent car and some bills paid… LOL

@silverqueen we're fully integrated with ordering system and customer service so either orders declined, eliminated on a fraud check or cancelled by request. Theoretically leaving others to buy but we haven't figured out good way to cleanly release them without confusion.

@snapster generally the best way to release speakers is to slowly acclimate them to the wild using progressively larger enclosures rather than just dumping them out there and hoping they make it

@snapster How about a little lunch time excitement? Release cancellations and declines at noon each day if there are any. It will give those that missed out while they slept a chance and a reason for a second visit to the site. Worked with the KindleFire HDX.

@Chops You are correct, the units when purchased from the manufacturer do have stands and wall mounts. However, these are refurb units and do not have a stand, wall mount or cables. If you scroll back to the top of this page, Meh lists what is in the box and also provides the link for the instruction manual.
