Penzey' GC Deal
tinamarie1974 had a quick thing to say said18
Good Morning folks, if the excitement of a Meh-athon isn’t enough Penzeys.com is having a sale.
- 1/2 cup pepper for $2.00 Usually around $9.00
- $50.00 GC for $35.00
- FREE Kind gift box w a minimum purchase
- 9 comments, 25 replies
Their ground pepper really is peppery and much better than the red can. And the grind is uniform (good for cooking) vs fresh ground. +1 recommended.
Thanks for the post! Picked up a gift card for my sister for Christmas.
Free shipping if you get a gift card and 3 pepper.
@brainmist Yeah, that was nice - I went there last night looking for bay leaves, so got free shipping on them and some basil because I got a gift card.
@Kyeh I don’t know if they still do this, but some of their boxes are packed with extra bay leaves just for ornament.
Huh, I haven’t gotten any; they’ve given me the little random sample bags though, which is nice.
@Kyeh I should have specified, it’s the boxed collections. So, for example, grilling.
Oh, cool. Never gotten those.
Thanks for the heads up @tinamarie1974 !! I was wondering what happened to that other thread we used to have, the heads up for sales and deals one.
Am I just not seeing it? ¯\(ツ)/¯
Nobody’s started one recently.
Anyone can do it…hint, hint!
@Lynnerizer I couldn’t find it either so I gave up and did this
Wow, Penzy’s and @tinamarie1974 just crossed a couple items off my gift list!
Stinks that the only one around here closed sometime not long ago. I bought a gift card for this price a couple months ago hoping to be able to buy a thing or two when I needed it, instead I had to buy a bunch of stuff all at once so I didn’t get charged for shipping every time.
Sandwich sprinkle is a game changer btw.
@lichme I LOVE sandwich sprinkle. I put it on most everything these days
My faves so far are the Greek Seasoning and the Justice blend.
@Kyeh @lichme greek seasoning you say???
@lichme @tinamarie1974 Yes!
Hand-mixed from: coarse salt, Turkish oregano, garlic, lemon, black pepper and marjoram.
@Kyeh @lichme I may need to try it, that sounds delish
@Kyeh @lichme @tinamarie1974 I used chicken taco seasoning today. Fortunately our store is still open.
@sammydog01, you’re the one who made me aware of Penzey’s, with that gift box deal last year! Thanks!
@lichme My fave is FoxPoint. Add some olive oil and a bit of basil and dip bread, or sprinkle it on pasta with butter and some extra parmesan…so good!
Sounds good; I just got some of it so I’ll try it that way.
Do you still have pasta?
@brainmist @Kyeh @lichme
Why? Do you need some? Perhaps there are some folks with a few (or more) 10lb boxes of pasta they could hook you up with and drop ship you some.
@brainmist @lichme I mix Fox Point with sour cream for a vegetable dip. I’ll try the pasta thing- I still have a hundred pounds. At least.
@mike808 Is that how much you got?!
I like the cats investigating.
I only got 2 boxes and I still have some left. It’s great stuff.
@brainmist @Kyeh @lichme
That’s someone else’s picture from here on Meh.
PastaDrop.com is no more, but they’ve merged in the forum posts from that site into the Meh forums here:
I also got about 100 lbs and I’ve got like 60 left.
Their spices are excellent!
I’m a big fan of their cinnamon and Mexican vanilla. I ignore the politics in their email and focus on their well sourced spices. I use a criminal amount of their Italian spice blend when I make spaghetti sauce.
@show_the_maw I’m a three strikes offender with their frozen pizza seasoning.
@mike808 Nothing like churching up a frozen costco pizza with that pizza seasoning! It almost makes me feel like i’m really cooking!
@show_the_maw Preach! We also take their cauli crust combo frozen pizza or a local 3-meat pizza (thin crust St. Louis style) and add sliced green olives (Manzanillas, I think) for little savory salt bombs in every bite.
@show_the_maw I think the cinnamon is on sale today
Can never have enough Mural of Flavor (great for soups and stews), Sunny Paris and Justice (both good for fish) and Frozen pizza seasoning (good for everything)
