If I had to guess, no. The whole aspect was because it was early in the pandemic and restaurants were closed, hence an excess of pasta that needed selling instead of stuck in a warehouse somewhere.
FWIW, I think my folks still have over 50 pounds left.
I have 1 and 1/2 bags of penne left! Some of the stringy pasta too… But penne made people in this house happy! Donated over 300lbs to the homeless shelter.
Roughly the same here. 10# of linguini or fettuccine and a 5# bag of the penne.
I’ve just gone overboard on ramen lately, and will probably change things up soon and do pastas with red sauce or just butter, salt, and lemon pepper on a cold, dreary day as Winter starts to roll in.
I gave my last 20lb bag away in the last meh exchange. Everybody in my family got penne, it was fun having it show up on their doorsteps.
Last year I did a food survey where a company sent me 3 huge boxes of pasta and I had blind taste them and they ended up being penne too.

I boiled all the pasta in separate pots of water and tasted them plain and buttered and they all tasted exactly the same. I never got to find out what brand it was but I don’t think it tasted as good as the pasta drop one. Penne is a hard noodle to do a taste test with in imo.
Agree! Just about through the last of the penne we were gifted.

@Star2236 That’s funny! How did it compare to the pasta from Meh?
@Kyeh @Star2236
I personally really like that (the pasta drop) pasta.
@chienfou @Star2236 Me too;
I think it’s as good as Pastificio G. Di Martino pasta, which was the best I’d had previously.

Best sale ever.
