DJI P2 v2 with Zenmuse H4-3D gimbal bundle $400 at B&H
0Get the bundle, keep the gimbal, resell the P2 for $250ish and now you've got what many claim is the best 3D gimbal available for about half price. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1116037-REG/dji_cp_pt_000142_phantom_2_quadcopter_v2_0.html

How does the Zenmuse compare to the gimbal on P3? I know it's not apples to apples since the P3 comes with the attached cam.
@sportykev My guess? It's probably very similar technology. Since they both rely on the NAZA for gimbal control, I'd guess they provide similar stability and responsiveness. But that's just a guess. I never got to fly my P3 before giving up on it, and I don't own a Zenmuse 3D. But I've read SO many review and comments about the Zenmuse being the "it" gimbal.
Quit doing that! It says "Hero 4" but the 3 has the same dimensions, so it should work, no?
Guess I'll find out...
@fultonmartin yes they both work. In fact fits a tad better. The hero4s wifi button on the side is slightly bigger, people thought it would get pushed by the gimbal, but it does not.
@lilsrm123, @fultonmartin, Here's a (pretty poor, but informative) video showing the Zenmuse H4 gimbal with a H3+
@fultonmartin, @sportykev, @lilsrm123, In doing my due diligence, I just discovered the Zenmuse does not have a gimbal controller, but rather relies on the NAZA for it's stabilization control. There is an optional GCU that must be purchases separately if you want to use the gimbal on a non-NAZE controlled drone. That runs another buck and a half. So the value of un-bundling this bundle is lost. BUT... it seems like a fair deal for a P2 with Zenmuse 3D, so long as @lilsrm123 is correct about the gimbal working fine with H3 series cameras.
@ruouttaurmind @fultonmartin I bought this one
from BH last year they had a deal. It came with the H3-3D gimbal. Did not come with a gimbal controller. On the DJI controller you can tilt the GoPro up and down slightly (not as far as in the video above). Which is perfectly fine with me. Tested with both Hero4 and Hero3+ absolutely no difference.
@lilsrm123 If I understand the system correctly, you can configure the gimbal for max pitch values. So you should be able to get -130* to +45* pitch control from the Zenmuse.
@lilsrm123 Confirmed... the DJI P2 Assistant PC software permits adjustment of max pitch and gain adjustments.
@ruouttaurmind Oh I forgot all about the software! Thank you for the info!
