What fresh hell is this home security bullshit from them? Not digging it. I mean sure, nearly free phones are nice and all but I’ll cut a bitch if I have to in order to stop getting emails.
When I tried to cancel my ooma phone they put me through cancellation script hell, implying (fuck it, saying) the only way to cancel was to return the device. That I’d bought. So eff them in the ear. Search twitter for @ooma cancel and you’ll see tons of people talking about the same.
Anybody use the Ooma security system stuff? Apparently, I could add a Water Leak Detector that would pair with may existing Telo and tell me if the sump pump fails. (like a smart leak frog) It’s like $30, though.
Create a filter to send them to trash?
I’ve had Ooma for at least 10 years & have never gotten an email from them.
I hope they don’t find me!
If Ooma marketing emails are your biggest Spam issue you are blessed.
Agreed with @daveinwarsh, we’ve had Ooma for 5 years and do not get spammed by them.

@CraigDanger “cut a bitch” Really?
@magic_cave or i could have Wayne Brady do it. (But i mean quit the service. But thanks for your moral outrage)
@CraigDanger I thought Wayne Brady was good to choke a bitch?
/image is wayne brady gonna have to choke a bitch gif
I get spammed constantly by them, but GMail is doing a fine job of dumping that crap in the spambox before I ever get the chance to be annoyed by it.

Try creating separate folder, to restrict spam at one place.
I get spam from them but I don’t consider it excessive. I’m getting messages regarding:
Since January 1, 2017, I received a total of 15 emails from them. Not too bad considering other spams that I get.
no it’s not a lot… but I’d prefer to get 0 emails unless there is an issue.

My refurb woot Ooma hub is going strong still, so I can gleefully delete all those security bullshit emails.
