Mine shipped, too, and is due on Saturday. It might even arrive before the socks I ordered a day later. If so, that will be due to FedEx’s semi-direct shipment vs. Pitney Bowes’s layover in Limbo/Indiana.
I ordered mine on the first IRK group sold that night-wonder if that is the reason it was shipped that early or first. Good sign or bad sign for what is in it? Who knows.
@Trillian@RiotDemon Well this time it was a very good sign-without a doubt the best IRK I have ever gotten. Included in the box was an X Box Series x-which came out in Nov 2020 (mine has a manufacture date of 10/21/20)-which is sold out everywhere and retails for $ 500. Our son claimed it immediately and now our daughter is pissed.
Got mine today. From the look of my FedEx shipment management report, it looks like it a label was originally created for FedEx Smartpost, which would have handed it over to USPS for final local delivery. But then a new label was created for FedEx ground, which likely saved a day by kicking out the handoff.
Mine hasn’t shipped yet, but it’s going to the wrong person as well (address was prefilled, longer story but probably not really as long as this post in hindsight). I hope they enjoy it when they do get it…I still won’t have my IRK bag.
Heads up: while I still haven’t posted my end-of-November IRK in the appropriate thread (which I fully intend to do), I should probably warn people that it appeared to have been opened in a sneaky way. Normally, I grab a scissors or cutter and slice through the tape without looking carefully at it, but this time I pulled it off and was surprised that one flap popped up. It had been cut open in such a way that the other flap was still shut with the original tape. This is the second or third (can’t remember) looking-tampered-with IRK I’ve received (the other definite one was pushed down/open on one side with no real attempt to hide it beyond more tape). The contents were a completely normal-appearing IRK, so naturally I assume it was filled with valuables before being pilfered.
Anyway, it was weird and suspicious, so maybe take a careful look at your boxes before you open them, because someone along the road may be taking a peek inside.
@eggsterminate Aw, crap. The tracking now just says “no scheduled delivery date at this time,” with a bonus “scheduled delivery: pending” message. And the tracking still hasn’t updated since 12/17 when it was leaving Irving, TX.
I’ve already had two packages in the past two weeks get lost, and it’s looking like IRK might be casualty #3. I’m so sad!
@ThunderChicken At least all hope isn’t lost for the IRK! The package has just been located, and updated tracking shows that it should arrive tomorrow!
My order was supposed to arrive 12/22. I got on email saying it had been delivered on 12/18 to my address. Didn’t come to my house. A FEDX truck was at the neighbors about 3 hours after it was supposed to have delivered to my house, so after reading the email, I checked her porch since she wasn’t home and emailed her. Not at her house either. I’m pissed. The package is Christmas presents.
