@katbyter Thats exactly what I do when i get a sickness. Only time I make a exception to bath in a hot-luke warm tub. Once, done I drain the water and run the shower head at medium to get all the nastiness off me. Bringing my temperature down a bit at the same time so i dont get to cold. Before putting on sweats or robe.
The house that I grew up in has only one bathroom to cover 3 floors, 4 bedrooms and 1700+ square feet. Until I was 18 years old, that one bathroom did NOT contain a shower. I DESPISE TAKING BATHS! As soon as I got my driver’s license when I turned 16, every morning before school, I would drive to the tennis center that I was a member of just to shower before school. Strictly to avoid taking another bath.
As a pisces living in a constantly drought stricken valley my Mr Bubble time is my Ahhhhh time. Add epsom salts and lavender essential oil equals a great nights sleep. I WILL die on this hill.
This is a hard question to answer sometimes I really enjoy a bath with candles and a glass of wine and even though I’m female sometimes a good cigar. On the other hand mostly I take a shower because it saves on water it is quicker and I don’t like to spend a lot of time in the bathroom. So I guess it depends on my mood on which is better the bathtub and bath is more relaxing but the shower is more convenient.
Baths are more relaxing. Showers are strictly a utilitarian exercise. That being said, my NOTILUS ANTIMICROBIAL SHOWER HEAD WITH WAND I got from this here deal a day website is fantastic for showering. And that footscrubber thing I got from this same website is so nice to get my feet clean.
@j37hr0 I have a great shower head to that shaped like a wand or a cylinder. And I ordered those foot scrubber things I can’t wait to try them out. I got them when they had a two for Tuesday thing on one of the sites here
For me, showers are for personal hygiene. Baths are for relaxing. I have a spa tub but since it lacks its own heater the water soon gets cold so it’s not good for a long soak anyway. Also as I get older I find it harder and harder to lay flat in a tub to rinse off shampoo, so there’s that.
I’d rather not touch my bathtub with any part of my body other than my feet.
Shower: How else would I be able to use those shower heads I got on meh?
Shower heads from Meh and not always necessarily alone, make showers MUCH better than sitting in your own dirty water.
Shower: I washed off the crud, and it all went right down the drain, gone forever.
Bath: I’ve been sitting in a vat of crud soup for half an hour, but now I guess I’m clean somehow?
Why not both?
@ZeroCharisma at the same time!
@OnionSoup Exactamundo.
Depends on what I was doing to require getting cleaner.
If I were to take a bath (which I don’t), I would still rinse off after stewing in my own filth.

@katbyter or rinse off the filth first? shower then soak? if for some reason you need a soak
I don’t know where this saying comes from but it fits “bathing is for pigs”
Depends what you’re trying to accomplish. I like to enjoy a little “Me soup” from time to time.
There should be a third choice. Both. Shower to clean then bath to soak.
Nothing beats a soaking bath, except a nice, steamy shower.
Baths are the diapers of bathing. While they may feel good at first, eventuality you realize you’re covered in shit.
@thebigtverberg this made my day so far, quite funny and true.

Definitely shower if the intention is to clean.
Only good use for bath is to sooth aching body.
why sit in my own dirt I am trying to get rid of?
I don’t believe that these hypothesized “baths” exist. Who would put a micropool in their filthy, filthy restroom?
The bath is only better if it’s a big tub.
The only baths worth taking are the ones that involve my wife; giggity.
