@tinamarie1974 mostly is stuff unique to a commercial greenhouse, like how to use the automatic pot filter. Not exactly like this one but similar
One of the things I typically do when planting is to break up the root ball a bit to stimulate root growth. Makes sense when going into the garden, but when planting seedling plugs, totally unnecessary. And given the speed we have to go, no way that would be possible when you’re planting 5,000 plants in an afternoon.
Been gone from home more than here since Christmas. Trying to get my veggie garden in
Re-sorting out the shop spaces.
Getting our “new” (used) RV in shape for a summer trip.
Going to MPAC for Whose Live Anyway? last night and to see ZZ Top next week.
Seeing Sherwood at ASF.
General yard shit (mowing, pruning, trimming, etc)
Rebuilding/critter-proofing my chicken pen.
Wrapping up Mom’s estate
Working a few a PRN shifts in the ER…
Family week long get together for beach trip/Mom’s memorial.
“Wasting” time here…
Then in May…
TL:DR not much.
I’m so behind on spring prep with the shop. I need to prune all my fruit trees and reorganize the younger trees and bushes in the “orchard” It’s not as fancy as it sounds I promise. I’m just a culinary nerd who likes to grow all the things she possibly can. Also need to start my veggies and get them on a prop mat under lights at this point.
Lining a half acre, largely wild yard (already fenced, but ahaha apparently not effectively) with wire for a particularly Houdini-esque dog, so I can let her enjoy it off leash without worrying she’s harassing the neighbors, getting in a fight, or getting hit by a car.
I semi-wolf-proofed the yard against a previous breakout artist by lining the base with chicken wire sewn to the 5’ chainlink (she still got out, once, but shredded her paw digging through the chicken wire, and after that decided not to). But somehow the current pup still gets out.
@rockblossom My springs are self-cleaning. I think.
All of the above
I’m having a new dishwasher delivered tomorrow. The old one started complaining so I had to do it.
@tweezak Having a new one delivered is often effective in persuading the old one to stop misbehaving.
@tweezak @werehatrack So mail order brides are still a thing?
@tweezak @werehatrack
@yakkoTDI @pakopako

continue purging stuff in prep for moving at retirement. That includes garage cleaning and house cleaning.
Hopefully planting stuff after Mother’s Day when we know there shouldn’t be any more killing frosts.
Sneezing.
Looking for a new car to replace my aging (and now troublesome) Fiat 500 and hoping I can find something before the tariffs hit.
Planting, planting, planting, planting…
… making potting soil…
…and more planting!
I started a PT job working in a greenhouse. Lots of fun, learning a lot, back needs heat
@ybmuG That does sound fun!
@Kyeh @ybmuG I am doing a small version of that for my cacti herd.
@Kyeh @yakkoTDI do cacti require much hearding? I’d bet roping them can get a little prickly.
@ybmuG A portion of my back yard is getting repurposed to grow herbs in raised beds. And I don’t even have to weed them!
@ybmuG can you share your newly found knowledge

@ybmuG oh my word, that is A LOT of plants!!! Meanwhile I complain when I need to plant four or five bushes.
/giphy no green thumb

@Kyeh @yakkoTDI @ybmuG
It’s not so much the roping as it is the tie-down, but at least the cacti can defend themselves!

@sillyheathen It sounds lovely!
Spring training

@llangley What are you training your springs to do?
