Mechanized “massage” isn’t, in my opinion. But that’s just me. I find that a large part of the therapeutic value of such manipulations is the very fact that it’s being done by someone who presumably cares about the result sought.
Anybody tried this or seen a useful review (my search did not yield one)? Wouldn’t mind something like this but would like to avoid another piece of semi e-waste.
@sfwineguy I got something similar in an IRK and it was surprisingly decent. Not a masseuse, obviously, but not bad for just realizing some tense muscles.
@brainmist@sfwineguy I have something from this brand off Meh. It might be the previous model. The wall plug means the heat portion will work better than the battery powered massagers, but you’re tethered to lying down near the outlet.
It’s functional. A little hard (hence the “shiatsu” in the name) but since you can control the pressure yourself, you can let it be a vibrating thermal pad.
Being from Meh, the caveat is that these are impossible to clean (in my case there was a screwhead loose; I couldn’t get it out, but the thing was also built well enough that the screw still held in place). Have a towel or clothing between you and the massager; the polyester slip cover can be removed, but there’s another underneath that can’t (and I’m sure sweat will easily leak from one layer to the next).

You do you.
@werehatrack us singles don’t get human massages, but we do get migraines. I’m in for one.
