@BelleGunness
I think you are the only other person that I’ve seen here on Meh that’s mentioned having CRPS. I’ve was diagnosed with it over 50 years ago, they called it RSD back then! It stood for reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Good luck with your hand, I hope this helps!
@Lynnerizer Mine was due to a sharp force injury to a nerve bundle in my hand. I’ve had multiple surgeries and several years of physical therapy. CRPS is awful. A stiff breeze across my hand stopped me in my tracks for a long time. The physical therapy has helped to lessen the pain sensations; however, I am still very limited on my usage of my hand. I actually looked at these a year or so ago as I have to use touch therapy as part of my physical therapy. I am so sorry you also deal with CRPS, it can be literally debilitating. Thank you for your kind words!
@BelleGunness@Lynnerizer I’m sorry you guys have to deal with that, I feel for you both. I’ve heard some real horror stories about that disorder, it sounds terrible. They’ve made a lot of progress with treatments like electrical nerve stimulation, hopefully they’ll figure out effective ways to apply those techniques to a wider range of issues in the near future! In any case, good luck to both of you in figuring out a long-term solution for some real relief.

Thanks! They have made a lot of progress but it’s ridiculous so many doctors still haven’t even heard about it. It’s really crazy! I was beside myself with joy after seeing how many people were in the FB groups for RSD & CRPS. Or that there even was a group for it!
@BelleGunness@Lynnerizer You’re right, it’s crazy how specialized doctors are these days, they all seem to “stay in their lane” to a ridiculous extent. In the old days, they often kept up on new stuff by reading the JAMA, etc, but now there are so many specialist journals around, they don’t usually keep up on other disciplines anymore. Ahh, the wonders of the American healthcare system!

These should really come as a pair. My other hand would get jealous.
Nah. I know how this goes. Pretty soon the Gom Jabbar comes out.
A solution in search of a problem.
@jewelshound It looks like a solution to a very specific problem. A rather uncommon problem.
Based on the sales stats, it’s a potential solution for a handful of Mehmbers.
I saw this thing in Dune.
@weltall I forgot what movie that was, seriously a memorable scene!
@weltall You mind my read.
