“After 6 months of nearly daily use my opinion remains unchanged - this is a great product. It blends so smoothly and evenly. I do put the container and blade on the top rack of the dishwasher, so cleaning is effortless and the parts appear to be no worse off than if I were to hand wash them. Still easily 5 stars.” - Amazon Customer

@brhfl Unless I'm interpreting it backwards, it looks like 0 stars, 4 stars and 4 stars. Is it supposed to be 5, 1, 1? I'm using the latest Chrome which I would assume should support Emoji.
@Zelucifer I would post a screenshot, but Imgur is being weird. Or maybe my computer is being weird. Anyway, on OS X 10.10.5, pretty much up-to-date version of Chrome, I'm seeing 5, 1, 1. The stars are the shiny yellow emoji, and the non-stars are filled black. I know from past experience that when I get on my Win 7, same(ish) version of Chrome work computer tomorrow, it will look like 0, 4, 4.
What? It's not a high powered blender lantern? After yesterday's low powered lantern blender I would have thought the one today would be at least 400 lumens.
The model number is exactly half of the wattage because they know all of us marg-makin' alcoholics buying these can already readily convert proofs to percentages.
Is this the best that you can do on Leap Day? I was hoping for something far more creative to celebrate this non-holiday....a trampoline, a jump rope, a Leap Frog tablet???
Leo winning an Oscar crashed Reddit for a few minutes. I was finally able to go outside, and now I've decided to turn over a new leaf and start living a healthier life (starting with a juice cleanse). Nutri Ninja, engage!
Have one... like it... use it a lot... some parts could use replacement, so I'm in for one.
Nothing on the one we have actually needs replacement yet, but we use it 4-5 times per week for frozen fruit smoothies & the seal (on the blade assembly) is starting to sometimes leaks & the plastic glasses are somewhat scratched. The cost to replace those things is a lot more than $40, so it's a good deal & I get a spare motor base to boot.
I wonder if I should get this and return the NutriBullet Special Edition I just got from Kohl's. It's only 600 watts vs. 900 for the respiffied Nutri Ninja Pro. Decisions, decisions.
Not even a day 90 warranty and they want 40 bucks?! Anything with a 30 day warranty might as well have a big sign on it saying "sucker!" Who in the he11 is "Remanufactured Products" anyway?
So, after all the comments, gotta say I went for it anyways. Wife purchased one of the original (smaller) Ninja deals, and it's still working. I'm putting this one away against the day it churns its last smoothie. Also I'm kinda envious over the travel lids, the original has these weak plastic cover thingies with no sippy holes.
I got one of these new over a year ago when I decided to hop on the Soylent bandwagon. I love it. Easy to clean, easy to use, blends the crap out of stuff. There are much, much worse ways to spend $90 (or $40).
(As for the Soylent - not quite as pleased with that.)
I have one of these. They are very powerful, great for making smoothies since it chops the heck out of anything. Cleaning is pretty easy, too. Pretty good deal for $40.
Don't be fooled by the Ninja name though, this thing is not quiet.
@SRavingmad Ninja is a funny name for something so loud. But it does kick/chop/beat the crap out of anything you put in it. However, my Ninja was super quiet when it chopped the end of my thumb off as I took it out of the box.
Warranty covers parts not labor and you pay for shipping? And it's only 30 days. Not worthy of a once in 4 years deal, very disappointed in you Meh, time out chair, Now.
Just got mine. Took it out of package, washed cup, added fruit and some milk, doesnt work. I don't think it's user error, so im still goibg to try other outlets. but pretty disappointed in my first meh purchase so far. This is why I usually buy this sort of thing local.
Meh told me to reach out to the company that handles the refurbished units. Contacted the customer service number in the booklet and meh's email and got the runaround until I was able to leave a voicemail for a nice sounding woman who promised she would get back to me (then didn't). Going to try again today, but I'm not liking the idea of spending more time and money to fix a unit that didn't work out of the box.
@varyable the blade on mine looked new, but the cup had a few minor scuff marks on it. the booklet on mine actually said there will be minor cosmetic imperfections. I'm OK with it (if it works) since I got a deal
The refurb company got back to me today. A nice gentleman called, asked a few troubleshooting questions, and then said they are sending a new one out today. It's a minor hassle, but they are trying to make it right and that's all I ever ask of a company. :)
I don't know if they want the old one returned or not. They did not bring it up. I'm holding onto the old packaging for now.
Just got a call from the refurb company that my blender shipped. It's a long time to wait for a $40 blender. I hope this thing works when it finally arrives.
Update: my replacement arrived, works great. The company didn't even ask me to send them the old one. While a mild inconvenience to wait for a working product, they got back to me and I have what I paid for which is all I can ask that a company do. :-)
I think the my old, no longer working 4 year old nutribullet may have actually done a better job, but for $40 (instead of $100 for a NB replacement) this will do just fine for smoothies. I'll use it until it breaks.
Mine leaks all over but because I kept it in the box until after the 30 days were up, I'm SOL oh well, learned my lesson. Will make sure I open and test everything right away from now on

Meh.
Meh blender - a deal a cut above
@AttyVette What goes around, comes around.
Can't fool me, that's obviously a flashlight.
Is that model in the next to last pix Marta, Gob's girlfriend?
Hrm. Back to back, different nose, I think. Close.
HERMANO!!!
@stinks sure looks like her
@stinks Excuse me, I'm looking for an Hermano.
@stinks thought the same thing at first
@stinks well she was played by two different actresses
I'll take the flashlight from yesterday that only looked like a blender. Meh.
First review shows 0 stars while it's supposed to be 5 stars ;)
@Zelucifer If you're on a browser/OS that doesn't support emoji, the stars look… well… wrong. That may be the issue.

@Zelucifer is how it would look with recent fonts.

@farfromfunny dude... That could quite possibly be the funniest post I have ever read.
"does do what it was suppose to. Not happy with it"
Does she normally order things in the hopes that they don't work?
@Mofongo It's a basically a statement about modern society.
No leap day special?

@heartny How much is peace of mind worth? This only has a 30-day warranty.

@ellett They should really say "no warranty" because that's what you're getting. 30 days sounds better for marketing purposes.
As much as I want this I already have 3 so I have to let this great deal slide.

Does this run at 0db? If not, it's kind of false advertising.
@Not_Ken_M you're the real Ken M to me
@Not_Ken_M If your units are relative to the loudness of a running blender, then yes, it runs at 0dB.
Did you really make a joke about making horse smoothies? wow, ya'll really get me :-)
Does the Ninja name imply that it is quiet?
What's red and green and goes 240mph?
Happy Leap Day!
@wickhameh A mid-engine sports car.
A frog in a Ninja blender! Leap Day joke! meh.
@wickhameh No that can't be it

The hardware on these things are usually good. It's the clear plastic tumbler/cups that will crack before anything.
Why isn't this blender also a bluetooth speaker, or at least a blender/mini quad copter combo. I'm not trying to waste my money
Great deal. If this thing lasts a year I got my money out of it.

Yup, tried other outlets. Doesnt work. Annoyed as heck with this. Sent a message to meh, hopefully this will be an easy return or exchange.

@Venkman did the blade on your unit look new? Mine has some dinks in it. Not very happy with this....
