Ninja lid recall
1Anyone else get a replacement Ninja lid and discover it doesn’t seal?
I didn’t pay attention at first… but then I realized it’d completely cooked off all the fluid in pressure cook mode.
I watched the next batch: steam was escaping all the way around.

Did you check that the silicone ring was intact and seated properly?

My new lid didn’t seal the first time, the little steam valve at the top was stuck and not closing but I poked at it and it popped up. I haven’t tried using it again so I’m not sure if it will stick everytime or if it’s good now.
From what I can tell the only thing different about the new lid is the warning sticker saying not to open when pressurized, so I may just go back to the old lid that I never had problems with
@metaphore I would think there is something physically different or they would have just mailed out stickers (much less costly for them!) instead of new lids.
@ItalianScallion @metaphore I would agree that the new ones must have a different way of locking in place. But I also defied their orders to dispose of the old one and have it as a backup, because I never tried to open it without releasing the pressure and it still works fine.
I think I heard that it was only some of them that were actually defective, but they replaced all of them just to be on the safe side.
