@therealjrn@yakkoTDI if anyone out there has never heard Skinned by Blind Melon, please for the love of all that is good in this world, click the link above. I think it’s my favorite song by them. Soup is definitely my favorite album. Regardless it should make you laugh.
@sillyheathen@therealjrn Thanks for the great song!! I was only aware of their song No Rain. Since I did not really enjoy it I never looked into their other stuff.
@FightingMongoos this complaint came up last time too. You need to compare to Otterbox or Yeti, though they have greater “brand name.”
But yes you can buy cheap coolers. Remember the old ones made of styrofoam and you take them in the back of a car and they would make that uncomfortable styrofoam sound for 1000 mi on a road trip with my parents? Oh you weren’t there. Back then probably about $5.
@FightingMongoos
Igloo coolers with wheels and handle (plastic joints with screws) have max insulation thickness of 1.5". This is 3" with welded handle and joints. They’re simply different products.
If you’re happy with reduced insulation and lower construction standards, that’s perfectly fine. That does save money.
A 48 qt Igloo with thin walls, 2 handles (no wheels) weighs 8.4 lbs. This 45 qt one weighs 30 lbs.
Igloo advertises it keeps food “cool for hours”, not days.
It could be that you get what you pay for, or not.
@FightingMongoos@pmarin I can still feel the clinching of my jaw from listening to three hours of that sound in the back of a truck with my friend on our way to Grand Isle in the 90s. Pretty sure you can still pick those up at gas stations and bait shops in the south.
I got one of these the last time it was up. It was our main cooler camping for 3 nights a few weeks ago. The drawer at the bottom is what got me interested as I was hoping it would be big enough to keep the raw meat and their juices away from everything else in the main compartment. It held a few lbs of beef, chicken thighs, and bacon. Bigger than expected and perfect.
It was cool (if not cold) fall weather and the cooler only needed an ice topper on the third day. Plenty of room for two people camping. Definitely worth the cost if you have a cooler usage that’s quicker than a tailgate or backyard hang.
@Chakolate@rpstrong@Trinityscrew Wow, I guess even I am susceptible to retail pricing tricks when moving too fast! $169.99 is really only $160, don’tyaknow?!
These truly are much better than a comparable Igloo, but unfortunately I was given said comparable Igloo by my union at a picnic over the summer. I have yet to use the Igloo, so it doesn’t seem prudent to buy one of these at this juncture.
I can’t believe I missed this yesterday, second time this week to blow my clicky face count! And only 2 days before beating my personal best! It’s not meant to be…
@Lynnerizer I just went back to the deal page and was able to click on the “buy it”. I didn’t complete the deal, due to my comment above, but do with my information what you will…
@El_Oel
Yeah, I don’t think I actually said what I meant. I didn’t want to buy the item but I didn’t see it, as in I didn’t come to Meh yesterday and I lost my clicky face count. For the 2nd time this week!
I appreciate your heads up though. I noticed a while back that sometimes their offers are available for a couple days which is really nice.
Most of the time, Nebraska is a wonderful place that offers up some of the best living in the country. The Cornhusker State is beautiful, with so much to offer visitors and locals alike. There are so many amazing places in Nebraska that make our state wonderful. But that doesn’t mean we’ve been untouched by evil and tragedy. Like all places, permanent marks have been left on our great state by people with a dark side. Here are some of the most serial notorious murderers and serial killers in Nebraska.

45qt? How many people is that?

@therealjrn @yakkoTDI I’ll make a shoehorn out of your shin!

@sillyheathen @yakkoTDI It did! And I previously was unaware of them!
@therealjrn @yakkoTDI I mean there’s a kazoo! How could you not like it?
@sillyheathen @yakkoTDI
/showme everything is better with a kazoo
@sillyheathen @therealjrn Thanks for the great song!! I was only aware of their song No Rain. Since I did not really enjoy it I never looked into their other stuff.
@therealjrn @yakkoTDI No Rain is my least favorite song in their entire catalog.
it’s the most “poppy” song.
Three is a magic number! Yes it is. It’s a magic number!
You should check this version out too!
@sillyheathen @therealjrn Excellent version. Schoolhouse Rock ROCKS!!!
@sillyheathen @therealjrn @yakkoTDI
I love this song, 3 is the magic number!
No in-laws for Thanksgiving, so will be Frost free.
Not too many takers on this “deal…” zero in fact so far! Hard pass!!!
Igloo 45-quart coolers are $25-50 at Wal-Mart.
Can’t really see the divider or cutting board being worth the extra dough.

Once, my back worked and I lived by the beach. These put my homemade homeless looking surf fishing cart to shame.
They claim this is 90 bucks cheaper than Amazon. It’s only $79.96 cheaper. They should fix that.
@Trinityscrew “Math is hard” - or words to that effect.
@rpstrong @Trinityscrew Math is easy. Life is hard

@El_Oel

I know, sad isn’t it!
Okay, who bought five of these??
