Quit thinking about how you can be a better person. The real joy is in judging others. How do you think meh can strive to be better in 2025? Keep it civil. (Or don’t.)
@Cerridwyn Sell more expired face masks, especially the no-name imported “certified” ones and the As-seen-on-TV not-for-medical-use (wink, wink!) ones. Oops–I mean put them in IRKs.
@Cerridwyn@werehatrack
Why?
What kind of locks do you prefer?
Now that I know how to close it without cutting off my digits, I love this one for it’s solid locking mechanism- which when open makes it feel almost like a fixed blade:
“RAM SAFE LOCK - The Ram Safe lock utilizes a solid steel bar that moves forward and back under spring tension, ensuring secure closure when folded and solid locking when open; This mechanism provides exceptional strength and reliability.”
@PhysAssist Pushbutton and not-in-blade-path slide locks are excellent, as is that one above. Liner and frame locks that put a finger in the path are not acceptable as far as I’m concerned. Lock-backs are cumbersome, and generally have way too much tension on the lock. I tend to modify them into just spring detents; secure-enough blade latching in the open position despite having no “lock” at all, and it facilitates safe one-hand closing even when my fingers are too cold to manipulate much of anything accurately. My EDC is a folding utility that’s been modded that way, and has served me well for years.
@PhysAssist@werehatrack I’ve got a CRKT M16-04DB that I love. It is a single hand deploy and single hand close with the push button deadbolt mechanism. I’m quite fond of the design. Zero wiggle in the blade when open. It’s a bit heavy for an EDC, but it’s a fantastic tool.
@capnjb@werehatrack
Looks great, but pricey.
The pocket bushman is likewise pretty heavy, but solid as a rock in use, although the handle isn’t the most ergonomic given that it’s essentially just a metal taco. Still, it’s my go-to when I have heavy duty work to do.
I also have some knives from Scallywag Tactical that I like a lot. https://www.skallywagtactical.com/
@PhysAssist@werehatrack I don’t have much of a file on Scallywag Tactical but they do seem to make good looking knives.
My outdoor workhorse is a Benchmade Bushcrafter. Just a great fixed blade. It was a bit spendy, but it gets a lot of use. And Benchmade has a Lifesharp program where they will sharpen your knife for free, forever. I’ve only used the program once, but they turned it around in about a week. They even fixed the little wiggle in the handle that was starting to manifest. It was like they returned me a brand new knife. As long as I don’t lose it, it will last a life time
Keep doing the polls of what we want the day of or day before you sell the product you are asking about in the poll. Better yet do it the day after. I mean, after all, why do it even before you buy the product? Then there’d be nothing left for the irks.
@Thumperchick
Sell more outdated food
Sell more fake health food/vitamins stuff

Sell more catshirts!
Bring back Trackrs!
@OnionSoup
@OnionSoup we will use them as currency when the world falls
@jouest @OnionSoup Do a Fallout mod that replaces bottlecaps.
How about sending the IRKs in packages that actually match the FedEx “Package Details” of 6x4x1 inch with a weight of 1 lb.??
What would fit in a package that small? I don’t know, how about maybe 15 1-Ounce $50 Gold Coins??
Or, you could instead send a stack of 250 $100 Bills!!
C’mon meh!! Are you able to meet this challenge??
@IndifferentDude A package that size could hold about 5.5 ounces of goat droppings.
@IndifferentDude this amount of work suggests neither indifference nor meh-titude.
@IndifferentDude @macromeh @jouest
A package that size is just about perfect for a couple of Trakrs.
@IndifferentDude @jouest @macromeh
@Kyeh And, needless to say, any & all Trackr packages should be pre-addressed to @OnionSoup.
Never order another snake oil product and avoid ASOTV crap. Neither of those do anything good for credibility.
@heartny - Lol. I have the “I miss the old Woot” shirt that other company put out years ago.
Knives and Speaker Docks
@Cerridwyn Well, knives, anyway. But not too many. And no bloody frame or liner locks.

@mediocrebot @ybmuG

Nah, it’s one of these!
/image ring tailed lemur
@Kyeh @mediocrebot @PhysAssist @ybmuG Kopi Luwak (civet cat coffee beans)
More interesting stuff in IRKs, and use the dumpster out back for its intended purpose.
@blaineg
THIS!!!
@blaineg Must be cheaper for Meh to send their crap out as IRKs than to pay a trash hauler.
