New idea for meh for VMP benefits
6So now VMP slackers can buy deals the next day if stuff is left. We also should be able to click the meh button on that deal the next day too and get our meh face if we, um, "missed doing that" (ahem... like when something goes terribly wrong after we clicked) on the day of the deal. Even better if we were able to do that even when the deal is sold out and so no slacker buying opportunity the next day. Just think meh - you could make $60/year out of some people just so they could click whatever didn't stick or they missed.

i disagree with this. the button of meh is a sacred click. it cannot be forgotten one day and assumed to be available the next. as it says in the mehcronomicon, "let those that meh, meh daily, or not at all."
@carl669 I will NOT click on your star. So there. : )
@Kidsandliz oh come on. i quoted the mehcronomicon. that's gotta be worth at least the consideration of clicking on the star.
I'm going to have to agree with @carl669 on this one.
@carl669 If I stomped on it does that count as a click?
@carl669
Praise be! The mehcronomicon has spoken!
@luvche21 Hmm is the mehcronomicon sort of like the Wizard of Oz? Are we supposed to like bow or something to hide we are snickering?
@Kidsandliz try the breakfast Cthulhu
@Kidsandliz
let us consult the mehcronomicon.
"the click of meh, praise be upon it, cometh in many forms. the form of the click need not matter, for the click remaineth sacred. so say we all."
@carl669
Hmmm...this be ancient English? Meh not so ancient thus it be a forgery (grin)
Was referring to the click of the star by the way...
@carl669
@Kidsandliz oh. i thought you meant the button click. the mehcronomicon briefly addresses star clicks here:
"To star or not to star, that is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler to imbue with gold
By granting approval and like,
Or to affront by withholding color,
Not one fuck was given.
So say we all."
@carl669 Beautifully expressed. But my aversion to dogma and my preference for heterodoxy compels me to side with @Kidsandliz on this one.
@joelmw
@carl669
@joelmw well.... shit.
I'm all for the $5 buying us stoooopid meaningless privs. Why not? Yeah i know clicking the button is sacred, but my stooopidity is sacred as well.
I would straight up pay $20 for a missed button click. What say you, @snapster? It could totally be an alternate revenue stream for Meh.
I've been doing it wrong? You're supposed to click on it regardless of the meh level?
@blaineg
*or wait for the tee shirt
@blaineg There's no right or wrong when it comes to clicking meh.
FWIW, my longest streak is only 31 days. It's a relief that it really doesn't matter.
@narfcake
I wanna not care about clicking Meh, but i can't bring myself to do it.
@FroodyFrog Meh.
@FroodyFrog I live your pain. I was on a 243 day bender, then missed a day. I came to the forum & boasted about how free I felt. How I had been liberated from the senseless daily clicky-click.
3 months ago that damn button sucked meh in again. Clicky-click, clicky-click, clicky-click. Now I'm back up to an embarrassing 82 clickies.
@blaineg Some people have made pixel art using the faces as pixels.
I really don't give a flying fuck. Just let me use my VMP 2-3 times a month by saying "hey, that was a pretty good deal and I didn't have to pay shipping". I clicked meh everyday since day zero, but on 2 days it somehow did not register, so I was screwed either way. So I don't care either way anymore. Just give me good stuff to buy and I'll be happy.
I got up to 111 and then it failed on 112 and would not register, so it went back to one. I have not clicked on it since, in silent protest.
I say instead of giving post facto Meh button option, Meh should randomly take away meh button clicks from those who don't have VMP. So instead of rewarding VMPs you punish the non-VMP.
Plus it would increase the whining about a button click streak, which I'm sure the mods/employees would love.
@MrMark Even better people could pay $5 to remove one from someone LOL (ducking)
if you wanna save some money you can consider not caring about the meh button, which is the truest of meh practices
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
