I started by only hitting Meh on the things I thought were meh. Then I found out I was doing it wrong.
I am guessing that was the purpose meh had intended. Then we hijcaked it. But it is their fault as that was the only way to see the face the same day. And they were keeping track of how often we clicked. There was an uproar when they went from our entire record available, with faces, to just the current month. And originally they were going to d away with that. They underestimated our attachment to the meh button and outcome.
My first time on the site, I thought if I clicked “Meh” it would remove the “Buy” button. I thought, “Well, that is harsh - forcing me to make such a heavy decision like that!”
WELCOME to the party old new guy!
After 4 years of finding Meh I STILL feel guilty every single day/time I hit the meh button because I don’t think the product is garbage just because I don’t plan on buying it.
Welcome, newly old guy! Enjoy clicking that meh button. One day, it may just consume you…
I went for almost 2-years without having clue that we were supposed to be clicking every day…
@tohar1 I started by only hitting Meh on the things I thought were meh. Then I found out I was doing it wrong.
@blaineg @tohar1 That’s not wrong. It’s sensible. DON’T LET IT CONSUME YOU.
@stinks @tohar1 Oh I did try for streaks later on, then found out I was really bad at it. So I gave up.
Several times.
@blaineg @tohar1

@blaineg @tohar1 Hear, hear.

@kathyl Same! I was here for the launch, and it took me a while to realize you could click “meh” without removing the option to buy.
@kathyl @Pony They should do this for April Fools day.
@kathyl @Pony Clicking the face became such a habit that several times on the old style IRKs I hit the face before the Buy button.
Bad fingers! Stop that!
@blaineg @kathyl @Pony
Same here!
@blaineg @kathyl @Pony
I was guilty of that too more than once.
@blaineg @kathyl @Pony I did the same!!

/giphy welcome to the party

Lol what’s even the point of the meh button? If not a lot of people buy the product, isn’t it a dead giveaway that it’s a “meh”?
@Trenn it’s a decent gauge of how many regulars at least visit daily
@Trenn It gets the obsessive types to visit the site every day.
