Nice! Might be good to send cookies out!
Also–in before somebody complains that this should have gone in the deals thread.
@therealjrn Damn…second.
And the cutoff is a mere 7 weeks before Christmas!!
@rtjhnstn Just send it out early, write “Do not open until Christmas. Love, Santa!” on it and mail it early.
Speaking of shipping, anyone have advice about shipping an XXL box economically? It’s 58"x40"x6" and about 60lb. I’m getting quotes from UPS & FedEx for $180-200 (price was the same for 350 & 1100mi).

It’s still in its retail package.
@compunaut Try Greyhound. A quick online quote said $132 station to station or $183 station to door going coast to coast.
Many years ago we shipped large heavy items through Forward Air. I did not see a place to get a quote on the website but might be worth a call. Amtrack will take pallets at the major stations.
Also try searching for local freight shippers. We have a couple that specialize in moving households. They charge by the percentage of the truck your stuff takes and combine less than full trucks going in the same general direction.
Shameless plug approaching. If you need to ship freight, contact your internet fellow @connorbush as it is my job to ship freight and I’d like to not be fired! Sadly—no household goods; strictly business freight. different insurance requirements
