@QuietDelusions Woah, Woah, Woah. Neato’s aren’t roomba-knockoffs. Let’s not try and start spreading that rumor. A couple differences between the two:
Neatos were the first bot vacs to map a room, then travel around. As well, it did not require light houses to get home like the Roombas do.
Neatos were the first bot vacs to return home, charge, then go back to the point it stopped and continue
Neatos have an actual suction, where as the base model Roombas are more a glorified broom.
I personally own two different models of Neatos (Models: Botvac 65 and XV-21) as well as one Roomba 530. My Neatos run one on each floor of my house, they cover almost everything by the time I get home. My Roomba does my bedroom, finishes 1/2 of it, goes home to charge, then waits for the next day.
I classify my Neatos as smart-vacs, which methodically clean. Where I classify the Roomba as a dumb-vac that just bounces around until it thinks it’s cleaned everything.
@Bogie Fair enough. As a single person with a small apartment, my total knowledge of floor-cleaning robots was (at least before I read your post) this: they are sometimes called Roombas and cats can ride them. Usually while wearing a shark costume.
@dickfarts I have 4 cats and 2 neatos. I’ve had it happen once. It must have been a fresh pile of food vomit and spread it about 2 ft, before it had sucked everything up and went on its way. The brush was for the most part fine, but the rest of the bot needed an extra detailed cleaning. Over all, not nearly as bad as expected.
@Kaylan I have dark wood floors as well as I have the same line, cheaper model of this Neato (I have the 65). Works just fine covering the first floor of my house (50/50 dark wood and tile). First floor has 5 rooms to vacuum, and 2 rooms with magnetic strips preventing it from entering those rooms.

Also, if I could get one of these in my Fuko…
At first glance I thought is was an SNES. Discovering it was a roomba-knockoff - HUGE disappointment.
@QuietDelusions Agreed.
@QuietDelusions Hey that SNES coloring is half the reason I bought my last Neato. Other reason being it’s a more efficient Roomba.
@QuietDelusions I knew what it was and still my brain said “SNES?”

/giphy roomba cat
Sucks for us.
I really want one of these, because I have a cat with hair everywhere, but that means he also pukes sometimes, and well,
@dickfarts
Neatos don’t do random patterns like Roombas do.
@haydesigner Hmm, so the cat vomit would be spread evenly across the room? Ok, I’m interested …
@jaxont I’m pretty sure that dog is trying to summon the robot devil.

@Thumperchick I think he’s just occupying what will soon be the only clean place to sit.
I just bought a Neato XV Signature Pro and this one is an upgrade from that model, for about $80 less. Great deal. Great vacuum.
Ok, I’ll bite and get one.
The quickstart guide says that black or shiny floors might confuse the robot. Anyone own one of these and have dark wood floors?

@Bogie Thank you so kindly for your reply! That is exactly what I wanted to hear.
I loved my Neato. The ex took it. I miss my Neato.
Unfortunately, Koreans are not interested.
We want a better product!
@DonghaPeter Shoutout from a fellow Korean!
I guaran-damn-tee they’re going to bundle shitty melted candy corn with at least one of their dibeetathon offerings today,
@jagipson maybe a Halloween bundle special.
