I saw the notification and thought it said $64. I was so excited I nearly soiled the floor (in a way that would be difficult for this device to clean properly).
I bought one from Costco several months ago. I love it when it works. The bumper sensor screwed up and a couple of the rollers popped out. Neato is sending me a replacement rather than repairing it.
I'd give it an 8/10 rating (that's good but not great), but $264 is a really good price for what you get.
@heartny The daily poll question has been stopped since Meh was informed that one of the recent poll answers involving a bat was extremely insulting to celebrity chef Paul Prudhomme, who retaliated with a furious seven-minute rant on his radio show, Paul's to the Wall. It's unlikely the poll will come back until the matter is fully sorted.
Ugggggh.... But I already risked getting a Roomba before and it turned out good. Why must I risk yet again instead of buying what I know will woooooorrrk.
@DrunkCat@DrunkCat If it is as good as their XV-21 series, then I would say its better than the roomba... BUT... notice that this line is already discontinued (replaced with the Botvac D series).
@caseyapeterson better 264 dollar products than knives. I mean i need one knife to open my veins every time meh offers knives, but not 300 knives a year to do it.
It is just too much money for something I am afraid that doesn't really work. To live the dream where I don't have to vacuum. It seems like a fairy tale.
We replaced out Roomba 560 with a BotVac 80 (both are the pet series) and couldn't be happier. Granted the Roomba was several years old and I'm sure new Roombas are smarter but the BotVac is just astounding. It almost never gets lost or hung up on anything, handles multiple rooms better, and has MUCH better routing. It's what the military calls "fire and forget".
@DekonR that's what I'm wondering as well. How come it doesn't come in colors. And can you wax the hood? Don't want the neighbors to see a dull vacuum cleaner.
I got the XV-21 last year and loved it but the run time was lower than I wanted. On a whim I checked back in march or so if the Botvac price had gone down yet, and it had a $25 coupon and $50 rebate, so I got the green orb model and then bought a pet brush. Gave the xv-21 to my sister and told her to get new batteries.
No regrets. This thing is quieter and sucks better than the XV did and also has a larger container. Side brush too.
It does an excellent job cleaning and runs like 3-4x's longer than the my XV did with shitty refurb batteries.
@bph dang it, now that it's gone I have not-buying remorse... I could have spent another $50 on the pet brush and better filter... why... why didn't I upgrade? :)
@thismyusername Right, what were you thinking? I spent something like 300-350 on my botvac plus another $50 on the hair brush. You could have gotten the bot, brush and good filters for less than I paid for just the robot!

Does it feel love?
@Bluedragon07 A regular hose vacuum is better if that is the sort of thing you are looking for.
@Bluedragon07 Chappie did, I don't see why Neato can't
@Bluedragon07 you say neato, check your libido.
@nadroj go to the church in your new tuxedo
@briannguyen And roll to the church in your new tuxedo... The way Young MC wanted it. :)
I love my old neato xv 21... so tempting.
This is a berry good deal
Also, fix the link in your write-up https://meh.com/deals/irobot-roomba-5600 (Should be 560)
@lichme I think it may be correct. From the very first day something went terribly wrong! (But we love them for it.)
I love when I check the meh.com posts on Twitter and it asks to translate the post... Today's suggestion was Slovenian.
Meh, I don't have floors, just a debris field of broken fuku dreams and amazon prime boxes.
Dr Venkman warned us about dogs and cats living together

I just remember "donttouchmyfuckingcoffee" talking about how a cat or a dog will puke, and then a robot like this will spread it all over the floor.
Ill just leave this here:
@Suzuk88 very effective. Crap spreader. Farmers would celebrate.
@Suzuk88 next competitive differentiator feature: crap sensor.
@Suzuk88
Did the Neato Botvac suck up the survey question today? I feel such an emptiness without it :-(
@heartny Good catch. I didn't notice it was missing until you mentioned it.

@Starblind Wow, that's so strange. I can't believe anyone would find meh insulting. I guess he wouldn't be interested in free VMP for life?

I, too, joined meh so I could be offered $264 products.
@caseyapeterson Juuusst missed my price point of $263.
@caseyapeterson better 264 dollar products than knives. I mean i need one knife to open my veins every time meh offers knives, but not 300 knives a year to do it.
@quantrill That's a character from My Little Pony.
Still not interested. Go Meh yourself!
Will it resurrect my favorite Game of Thrones characters?
@esjacobs It might, but they will be very pale....
Looks like it crawled in from a 1981 mansion.
Or if a roomba got it in with a elderly Nintendo console.
It is just too much money for something I am afraid that doesn't really work. To live the dream where I don't have to vacuum. It seems like a fairy tale.
@mick They do work. I just went and dumped my xv-21, it was chock full of dog hair.
Damn you Meh, I'm going on vacation in 3 weeks and I need a new Neato.....blergh!

The packaging and even the styling on the thing itself looks like it's out of the 70's. Looks like a yard-sale find, not a product from 2015.
@DekonR that's what I'm wondering as well. How come it doesn't come in colors. And can you wax the hood? Don't want the neighbors to see a dull vacuum cleaner.
34 sold, ouch
@StrangerDanger yea if it came with the brush and high end filters, I would have been tempted, but as it is my xv-21 is still cranking along.
MEH please no more knives ,glasses or headphones ty in advance..
P.S. received my battery chargers today seem to be working fine no fires or explosions yet ty Meh
My roomba works fine so I cant find an excuse to buy this.
sorry meh

@bph I'll keep my fingers crossed that they drop one in a fuku that I luck out and get? Wishful thinking?
Ah, whew. Almost missed a day of pressing the meh button.
so I just received this, and it was actually the botvac 85 instead of the 65. score!
@skyshard ARGHHHHHHH .... you are making my Not-Buyers remorse even stronger.
@skyshard so I've been scouring the internet, but to no avail. What's the difference? Is it just high efficiency filters?
@ChrisMondok The difference is 20.
@skyshard Same here! Today I got an email from meh about it - being a VMP has its benefits apparently! If meh were a person, I'd marry it.
It's really just an extra brush and filters, see the bottom of this pdf:
http://www.robotshop.com/media/files/pdf/datasheet2_botvac-70e.pdf
65 has a combo brush, 85 has both a combo brush and a blade brush
65 has 3 standard filters, 85 has 3 high performance filters
The vacuum itself is the same
cries in the corner, money in hand reaching out behind his back holding it out to meh hoping that they will take it and send him a botvac 85
Whoa, I got an 85 too. Neato!
