Ok last night I went to my first NBA game in 20 years or so. I remember loving itduring the 80s. Then last night was a blast even with my team losing. Do you follow NBA ? When was the last game you watched? On tv? In person?
The Pelicans and Thunder played an exhibition game in my town a year or two ago and my fiancee and I went. Maybe you have to know something about basketball to appreciate it, but we didn’t really get it.
I can see where people like basketball; things happen and points are scored, and it’s faster than baseball. But if you don’t know anything about it or have someone specific to root for, it’s just as I described: things happen and points are scored.
Lost most interest when my Sixers went downhill after the Iverson years. What they’ve done the past few weeks has seriously piqued it again. If Embiid can stay healthy this team could turn into a serious force.
I used to go a bunch when the company had tix for the 76ers. This was back in the Iverson era. The NBA is and was a big MEH in my book, but watching Allen Iverson play is no-MEH at all. Seeing him drop 63 one night still sticks with me, but not enough to make me want to go to a game any time soon.
@cinoclav not at all. frankly the NBA should flip a coin, give one team a 10 point lead, and play for 2 minutes, sparing us from the other 46 useless minutes.
@ticklescratch You might be surprised. I was flipping back and forth between the Sixers and Flyers last night. Both were great games. The 4th Q of the Sixers was back and forth.
No.
A few seconds about 5 years ago.

@djslack
It’s like when I play pinball on my phone. No clue what I’m doing, but I end up with a lot of points.

@cinoclav oh watch again it is fun.
@CaptAmehrican I’ve been watching off and on lately. Last night’s win vs the Clippers was pretty awesome.
I love college basketball, especially my beloved Kansas Jayhawks. But they got stomped into teeny tiny pieces last night and I am so sad. Waaaaah!

@ticklescratch Have you been following them at all lately? Embiid is an absolute beast (when he’s not hurt) and is making the Sixers fun again.
