National Donut Day
7It’s the most delicious day of the year!
“Celebrated annually on the first Friday in June, this year marks the 80th anniversary of the holiday first established as a tribute to the Salvation Army “Lassies” who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. These volunteers were the only female non-military personnel stationed on the front lines, where they even had to prepare donuts inside U.S. soldiers’ steel helmets using only hot oil and a stove!”

I went to 7-11 for gas. Saw the sign for cheap big gulps. Bought a big gulp and was told donuts were free. Turned out the big gulp was free too. Am now in posession of 10,000 calories of free 7-11 food.
@sammydog01 Delicious! Another National Donut Day miracle!
I chose the wrong week to start my post-isolation diet.
@OnionSoup
@rtjhnstn ha, that’s funny. Also the first thing I thought of too seconds after making my post.
@katbyter That seems… wrong; but it probably isn’t.
Damn. I saw one thing about it relatively early today and then completely forgot. Grrrr.
