@OldCatLady@RiotDemon Yes! Very cool. I haven’t been able to successfully dock yet (although only played with it for a about a minute, will play more Monday while in a waiting room). Takes a while to figure out how long movements continue after you click - still working on the interplay of that and speed.
Years ago I ran a summer science camp for high schoolers in electron beam accelerator facility. One group was taught how to program and their job was to figure out how to program the moon to circle the earth (the electrons are, simplified version, steered around the oval track by computer controlled magnets in a vacuum so they were learning how to steer one electron - AKA the moon). Much harder than than it looked. Just like this simulation is - well I am not a gamer so maybe easier for someone who games a lot.
And of course what was being done back when I was running the camp was way more primitive. I forget how little memory the first computer used in space had but by todays standards it was just about a toy.
While you wait, you can practice docking the Dragon capsule.

@RiotDemon That… that is epic.

Around 12 minutes to go.
Looks like NASA’s feed is 30 seconds behind Space X.
Here’s the Space X feed.
Thank you! That was fun!
Dragon should dock with the ISS tomorrow at 10:29am eastern.
We went to space today!
@blaineg ooh! They need to make an updated one with the Falcon9 Dragon.
@blaineg @RiotDemon I think they need to do the Falcon 9 one in Mad Ape Den.
@mehcuda67 @RiotDemon Randall Munroe has done a whole book in the Ten Hundred Most Common Words style.

Tour inside the Dragon capsule!
This is so amazing to me. To see how far space flight has come since we started.
@RiotDemon Bob & Doug’s Excellent Adventure
Congratulations on the successful launch of the new Bob and Doug SpaceX Dragon Show 2020.
Who remembers the original, eh?
@katbyter yeah, eh? https://i.cbc.ca/1.5592030.1590871933!/fileImage/httpImage/image.jpeg_gen/derivatives/16x9_780/spacex-bob-and-doug-with-bob-and-doug-mckenzie.jpeg
They are close to entering the ISS.
About 15 minutes now.
Hatch is open. They are trying to fix communications before they go in.
What is that sparkly sequined/bejewelled thing floating around the Dragon? Did someone bring a toy onboard?
@duodec It’s not a toy, its a zero gravity demonstrator!
And of course, it’s a dragon.
@blaineg @duodec actually, it’s a dinosaur. Their sons decided on which dinosaur was going to space.
@duodec @RiotDemon Cool, I took it for a dragon when I saw it, but I didn’t get that good of a look at it.
Those two kids have won the Coolest Dad contest.
@duodec @RiotDemon It’s name is Tremor.
Aww, it’s just the toy’s name, not a name the kids gave it.

Did you see the launch and landing?
No, not Saturday, last night!
Night launch at 14:07, landing at 23:00. Watch it light up the whole sky.
That’s the FIFTH launch & landing for this booster!
