I've gotten these in previous offerings here. They're great if you have a phone with a glass or similar backing. Not so great if your phone's backing is more porous.
Oh and don't stick them to a surface (like your desk or dresser) unless you basically want it there permanently. The phone comes on and off, but once the stand is stuck to a surface and left there a few weeks, taking it back off again is only possible if you destroy the sticky layer.
@G1 Thanks. That one was easy because I bought them then. Like @The_Tim mentioned above, if the back of your phone is not perfectly smooth, it's not going to stick very good. I use an otterbox and it has a rubbery back with groves. Not even close to sticking to it.

Then when I impulse buy (ice cone makers) I take money out of the account. So far I have resisted a little more than spent with after tonight. $2 in the savings account!

@unixrab I wouldn't know firsthand, but I have been told that browsing the aisles at Big Lots is a far more stimulating experience than Meh. The offerings have been rather insipid.

After that ~1 month of solid use (placing the phone on the stand and taking it off a couple times a day every work day) I can say that the suction does indeed diminish. However, the suction started off almost worryingly strong, so I'm pleased with this small reduction. I will try to remember to come back in another month to provide an update for you all. Edit (back early!): I share my desk with multiple people, and noticed yesterday that my stand had been moved. I tried to re-stick it, but no luck. The stick was mostly gone. I tried running it under some warm water and rubbing it gently but firmly to remove any particles that may have become stuck to it. This restored most of the stickiness. I'm leaving my review at 4 stars. (Sorry about the block of text, no way to format this.)
@Fej They aren't sticky, they're suction-y. If they lose suction it's because the suction cups are clogged with debris. Application of packing tape restores suction quite effectively. (Smaller tape works too, but packing tape is faster.)
You know what I use these for? Every time I upgrade my phone, I end up with an old one that just sits around the house doing nothing but sit in a drawer somewhere.
Someone created a program called track view and it turns your old phones into a video surveillance system. You can listen and talk back through the phone. You can switch from front to rear camera.
So I use these to stick my old phones to it and then run the program so I can access them remotely. I use one to monitor my pet bird and talk to him when I'm not home.
I bought a pair of these here in times of yore. Months later, a coworker admired the one I was using so I gave him its twin. I was amazed at how grateful he was and for how long. Another coworker saw it and was envious but not to the point of paying Amazon price. I'm about to make that coworker very happy. And then have five left over because $9 is effectively the same as $3.

I never quite understood - when there's a sellout on a two-fer day, is the sellout quantity the number of orders. I.E. 1056 orders today = 2112 stands?
@hammi99 yes sell out equals the number of orders, for a total of 2112 stands. How do I know? Meh also states price per order and gross revenue. Oddly enough the average price works out to 3.23 so their gross must include s/h(when applicable.) However I don't think it includes tax since the $420 gross variance is a multiple of the shipping price.

Got my stands today. One box was an obvious return with scotch tape barely holding together a torn box. The black sticky surface looked ok and seems able to hold my cellphone. Guess I can't expect much more for the price except to hope for it to last for more than a couple of weeks.
