Did not buy the fuko, did not attempt to buy, was not online when it went up, never got one previously (other than K one) or attempted, or was on line at 11 PM Central for any of them, and never bitched about it, and don't have VMP
What did happen: On site around 9 AM (CDT) - no one from my state listed as having bought the Fuko. Read stuff, did stuff, answered poll, and 30 minutes later (0930 CDT) the count went up, and a fuko order appeared in my state.
Tentative conclusion: Either completely random or triggered by something we did on site. I prefer to think the latter, just because it is more interesting. Meh would probably like us to think the latter, because it would make the morning after a fuko a lot more entertaining as mehmbers go crazy trying to find the magic thing that gets a fuko/fuku. Which means it was probably just random and the Mehsters will be cryptic about it.

I have a $0 fuko email and it's in my orders. I did check the site at around midnight, but I was a few seconds late, so I never ordered. I thought that 436 Fuko's wasn't very many. I never whined in April about the Fuko, at least not out loud. Heck, I got the Fuku 5, and so far have given most of it away. (Still have the keyboard with the broken key...) Have I answered the questions? Oh, I did click on the sold out "button". And generally clicked around. So I support the "random action" theory. My order email says -- May 20th 2016 10:21am ET. I'm VMP, but haven't ordered that recently (i.e I should have canceled).

i clicked Sold Out just for grins about 2 mins after midnight, I did score the April Fools fuko, I did get a $0 order confirmation yesterday morning, and now i'm just waiting for the pony, drone and ATOMOS receiver to be delivered, oh, and i made sarcastic remarks to whiners last time, and i'm vmp (duh - guess you can see my badge)

I tried to buy Fuko 10 but it sold out while processing my order. I did get an April Fuko but missed the previous Fuku. No email received, but there is a Fuko 10 in my orders from 10:42AM May 20th: "futile-cantankerous-tinker"
Maybe this is part of the Fuku to Fuko transition. Bad luck comes whether you want it or not...
@duodec Ah, but was it chance or karma? Just the (bad) luck of the draw, or something you did on site that "earned" you the fuko?
@rockblossom Only the Fates know that; supporting that contention is the order number which is relevant to my project-completion capabilities.
It is entirely possible this is karmic retribution for terrible deeds wrought online.
I tried purchasing one, and got all the way to submitting my order when it sold out. I did see the $0 fuko in my orders, I hope it is real!! I did not get the April fools one.
Didn't want to post about this, but it's becoming a thing and I am a data point.

Haven't whined and have sometimes actively taunted ragequitters and other "not fair" types.
Was not online at changeover. Was driving and missed out by the time my phone loaded browser from the link in my Twitter alert. (Galaxy s7 is slower at this than my old lg g2 for some reason)
Got in the forum and posted a "dammit, I was driving" comment with no real bitterness before continuing on to work. I think I clicked the sold out button too.
Voted in the poll for the only men at work song. Posted a silly comment on the thread.
I also wrote in to customer service about my nabi camera purchase later, around 1 or 2 am.
Got a mystery order at 9:18 central. Wrote Meh back with thanks and worry that the fukus have become fukos, and then become sentient and ordered themselves. I think there may be cause for concern :)
I have a theory about this. It involves being active contributors to the community here, and probably a second round of orders after the first round was purged of duplicates from people who actually got their own orders in. There's not a name in this thread that I don't recognize. But maybe I'm trying to apply logic to something where there is none. At any rate I'm pleased to be part of this fun again, and glad that I somehow got a mystery order. Thanks, Meh!
@djslack Some of us did order at midnight and still got the letters so I don't think it was from purged orders or they would have weeded us out. Maybe we were pre-selected?
@sammydog01 did your mystery order get cancelled or did you keep both? My theory was a preselected list of the top regulars got mystery orders just after midnight. Then duplicate orders were cancelled, and that many new orders were selected around 9-10am.

I placed an order for the fuko. Fifty-two minutes later, I got email confirmation of a second fuko. Two minutes after that, the second order was canceled. I did not receive the April 1 fuko (the only one I have missed.) Also, I didn't vote in the poll until after all this went down.
At the switchover I was on my Kindle Fire. I tried purchasing and thought I had finally gotten through when I was told Oops, Something Went Wrong. I tried for a couple of minutes, hopped on laptop, and made a comment about it being my birthday (5/20). I voted in the poll and chose the only Men at Work song on the list. Then, i received an email at 12:08AM for 1@$0. I posted again to the forum about the strange email.
I have been a VMP almost since the beginning, but I don't know if that helped at all or not. The only other Fuku I had ever received was for being a Kickstarter backer. Does this help the Sherlocks out there?

I missed the last two fuku/os (never really bitched about it), but scored this one. I did not receive a second notification, but can't help speculating.
Seems like they usually plan to sell 500 but regularly overshoot the mark. This time the faucet was turned off early - leaving extras to distribute. It looks like there were some duplicate orders that were promptly rescinded. Wonder if there was a meeting the next morning where they decided to award some extras according to an unknown formula? As @narfcake mentioned, forum activity sounds likely.

I am feeling unloved. I did not get the April Fuko. I am not VMP. I have never ordered. I was active the night of this Fuko and I am a blabbermouth on this forum.
On the other hand, my alter ego did get a Fuko this time, so I am happy. AND I'm happy for everyone who got a mystery Fuko -- if you want to consider that a lucky event.
Oh, and I also cheat on Mad Ape Den contests.

@Barney I am also unloved. I did not get a mystery email or a fuko. I did not get irk valentines. I did attempt the April Fool's Day one. For the record I think my last fuko/u was about a year ago. I just do not have the dedication required to be here at rollover. I deal with it and lurk the forums. I also like purple and cats.

I got a $0 order email on Friday around 11:23am. I did attempt to buy it when it first went up but was a little slow to the draw, and I mentioned missing out on it in the forums. I am a VMP and have been consistently buying the Fuku/Fukos since day 0 minus the Kickstarter one I missed out on . Still waiting to see if staff can confirm that we're getting Fukos or if we're all getting glitched
@stryper2000 i think the staff is paid by the amount of speculation and noise that they can create, so my advice: don't hold your breath for any clarifications forthcoming.
I also think the staffers are a Google Think Tank spin-off secretly doing secret research on the limits of sales per minute their VM's can process with Google's beta version of a new web server offering.

I successfully purchased the fuko in April and the most recent one, even though I was not even on the Meh site when the text came in from twitter and my browser hung up for about 40 seconds before it would let me check the not a robot box. (Thus I call bullshit on whomever said they sold out in 15 seconds). Ive also gotten every fuku prior to that, unless there was one I forgot about (though not the K one). I live on the east coast and I have never whined about when midnight is. I have never whined about not getting a fuku/o and would never do so... those that whine don't understand it. I have missed the meh button a few times and been disappointed about that, though I've not whined about it. I voted for the only Men at Work song on the list. I may have made a comment or two (cannot recall). I got an email saying $5.

I was soundly asleep when this one popped-up. When I got up the next day, I saw the twitter text alert and cried a little. Next, I checked my emails and saw the mystery $0 confirmation. I was very confused, so I then took my morning whiz and contemplated this further. I decided the meh staffers had some diabolical plan and just assumed I would buy a fuko so they could send me something awful. Much later I found out others got it too, so I was less scared.

The last bunch of fuku's and fuko's I haven't been able to get past the robot check. This one I was about 10 min late to the site because I had to get grades up by the deadline (midnight eastern savings time). I did click on the meh button and the sold out button for the hell of it. I posted that night. I did not get an email. My orders doesn't have one listed. I am (sob), apparently, unloved by meh. LOL But then again I did give away my mediocre socks (sniff sniff) in the mehrian exchange (I didn't have anything very good to put in the box and I knew that would make my recipient happy) so maybe that is being held against me that I gave away what they gave me?

I’m sorry but you’ve run around here stirring up one hornet’s nest after another incessantly, then you’re upset by it when people treat you as you deserve for the way you’ve acted. You’re overly sensitive and seem to lack a filter and maybe a bit of maturity. Grown adults know that political discussions are minefields at best and that jumping into a pro-liberal conversation declaratively stating ‘FUCK this far-Left garbage’ and stating that ‘Trump is going to be a great president’ is not going to net a positive result. The issue is not that you are anti-Liberal or pro-Trump, it’s that you knowingly and willfully went in and made these statements which by their nature are designed to rile people up. Here’s some tips to help you get along:
You did all six of those things within the confines of a single comment and response thread. I haven’t even gotten started on the other things you’ve done like going on a tirade, again with four letter words, cursing out meh for not having reserved a limited quantity fuko bag for you personally. The time you went on a tear about Meh shipping unacceptably slow when they were well within their promised shipping window, etc. etc. etc.
What’s the point of all this? The point of all this is that you need to grow up and recognize that you reap what you sow. When you act like an entitled child, people will treat you like one. When you go into a conversation and start slinging insults, you’re gonna get insulted in return. When you pick fights, you’re gonna have people fighting back and when there are more people who disagree with you than agree you’re gonna get dog piled.
Part of being an adult is recognizing when and when not to make a comment, there’s plenty of Trump supporters here, I’m sure, but the difference is that they had the good sense not to run into the middle of the hornets nest thinking they wouldn’t get stung. Part of being an adult is having patience, recognizing that when a product says that it will arrive within two weeks that it probably won’t show up within three days. Part of being an adult is recognizing that you’re not entitled to anything, that limited edition means limited edition and if you snooze you lose. If you wanted a fuko you should have been refreshing the homepage from 11:55 PM EST onward, you didn’t so you missed out, that’s life.
Now, of course, you could come back and tell us all how you’re really a 15 year old kid and, while some of us would be unsurprised, it would explain one hell of a lot. If you are 15, read what I’ve said above carefully, then go ask your English teacher to explain the meaning of the term ‘four letter words’, the term ‘ad hominem attack’ and, while you’re at it, get them to teach you about the rest of the logical fallacies while they’re at it.
I don’t think you’re hated by anyone, yet. Hell, I don’t think anyone really minds seeing you around here yet even. But if you keep up the same behavior as you have been demonstrating you will indeed become persona non grata. (another one for the hypothetical English teacher, or Latin if you’re in that class) And I assure you, it won’t be because you’re a conservative Donald Trump supporter, it will be because you run around insulting people without cause, picking fights, playing the victim, and generally acting like a child. Just because this is the internet doesn’t mean you can get away with anything you like, you’re on a forum populated by and oriented towards adults and acting like a petulant child will be met with great resistance.

@gskellig Some people received emails that they had purchased fukos with a price of $0 well after they had sold out. They appear to be fun little gifts from Meh and we are trying to figure out how people were selected.
I gotta say, I must be getting old. There was a time if I didn't get every BOC or Fuku/o out there I'd have major FOMO. Now I (try to) blissfully sleep through all the product changeovers and barely follow the reveal threads. A year ago I'd be mad-jealous, but now just curious about the mystery item. I've really grown.

I missed the fuko, voted in the poll, and most likely liked comments that night (I have a comment liking problem). I received no mystery fuku notification.

It seems that Amazon is removing wildlife specimens from its catalog that included: … wildlife trophies such as rare sea shells, alligator heads, starfish, snake specimens, seahorses and tarantula spiders, scorpions among a host of others and cruel trapping equipment like snares and leg hold traps.

@sammydog01 - I was thinking that too. Several of us have speculated that it was related to forum activity, but of course those not active here would not be likely to join the conversation.

I was a few seconds late to the show, saw that it was sold out.
Combed my order list for the mystery $0 Fuko… and, well:
Got the email, missed the fuko, missed April 1st, trolled the whiners on the 1st.
Got the email too (he said with a silly grin.) Also got the April Fools Fuko (everyone gets a hamburger maker!) Actually went to sleep early Thursday night, knowing I had a nice long 12 hour day at work Friday. Woke up, checked the site, got sad, realized the sun still came up, got the hell out of bed and continued on with my life. Received my surprise order email at 10:40 am Friday. Shall await Fuko while considering what I could possibly send to meh hq to show my love.

Did not get one. Have VMP. Order things sometimes, especially if they are purple. Live in bad internet area so the chances of me ever getting one are pretty slim because the page takes too long to load and then I need to prove I am not a robot. Some people are just luckier, I guess @djslack

@Barney Trouble is that alleged 3 mbps is usually about 0.5 - 1.0 down if I am lucky (sometimes as low as 0.3) and 0.03 to 0.05 up. Best I have ever gotten, and that was only a couple of times, is 1.12 down and 0.3 up.

@Kidsandliz I was just visiting family in rural Tennessee. I literally had to hike up a hill, then climb a tree on the hilltop to get a mobile signal (kid you not). Took about 4 minutes for the site to load each night just so I could click the stupid little face.
