@haydesigner Hope it arrives on time I ordered someone on may 12th I just got it yesterday but it did ship quickly and made it to the delivery agent two weeks after ordering and then sat a location in my city for almost two weeks before it was finally delivered.
So I don’t know who to really blame here but I do know they’re using a third party carrier at some point as the post office didn’t take poession until Saturday.
Got this last go around and it was a micro drone. There’s a thing that says free replacement parts if you join their flight club, I emailed them about replacement parts to join the flight club and never heard back so once you ruin it, that’s it.
That being said it did ship with an extra set of blades and you do get at least $6 worth of fun.
@Chronicle gave one to all the nieces/nephews and added blade guards. After asking the brothers in law if they were good/they thought any one was too young. They were fine. Kid immediately hit one of them in the face with it. Which I still find funny
“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”
― George W. Bush
It should be called Micro Mystery Drone because that’s all they send. The last 6$ one I got was crushed and someone when to town on it with a razor blade. But that’s not stopping me from getting another!
No guarantee you’ll receive any of these, and note that of the ones which are rated (including the Star Wars ones) typically get about three stars, so don’t expect quality. Many have cameras, but most of the micro drones don’t, so don’t count on that either…
Neither of my last mystery drones worked. I bought two, and they wound up being one of those small follow-your-hand type drones. Real pieces of shit. The switch doesn’t work on the first, and the second just doesn’t respond, as if it’s never been plugged in to power.
I already have the 8 pack AR portable and collapsible, water resistant LED lanterns to build the inverted Y, and now yet another drone for my rotary wing night flying diorama. Who knew life could be so sweet.
I received a Propel HD drone in an IRK last year. It worked about 3 times, then the battery stopped taking a charge. No one sells the batteries online, and Propel discontinued the drone, so I couldn’t get a battery from them. It actually worked until the battery died. Good Luck mehtizens!
So my PB does not show weight for this item. Guess I’m getting a box of air? Haha. It’s just not showing up. Has for all of the other packages and pastadrops. So I will wait the 3 weeks and find out how light the package is. I’m sure it’s more micro drones since I bought the 4 pack the last time they were on sale. Amusing for my son and cats. Just have that kind of luck…
Got my order of 3 today - my first MEH order. 2-2 packs of those horrible Rocket RC Levicopters which the cr2032 batteries in the little one button remote were all dead and 2 of the levitrons are really picky about being charged so much that I jiggled with them for over 5 minutes so I doubt I will bother any more. Also got 1 Rocket RC Air Crawler. So MEH is the right wording i would say. I was hoping to get one with a camera on it
ok, i should know better. bought one the time before and it took 3 weeks to show up. bought 2 this time, it was “delivered” much quicker, except the postal worker didn’t actually deliver it. says delivered on the tracking site, but my ring doorbell shows him drive right past my place and deliver something to the neighbor at the time my package was “delivered”. checked with neighbor and they didn’t get anything extra.
now I have to submit a claim or something with the post office. what a pain.
@sammydog01 not sure about that. i don’t know about your area, but in my area, the packages are delivered by a different mail carrier in a different truck, not the normal mail carrier. probably too many packages these days for the normal person to handle.
I ordered 1 and got 2 Levicopters in gift wrap. Why would they say these are drones?! They have no remote. "
Levitates itself using advanced onboard sensors that calculate the distance between the UFO and objects under it to adjust fight speed and height." so it’s en electric hacky-sack?
Closest thing to an IRK I will ever receive. Item arrived today, single RC Rocket Micro drone. Waste of $6 as I just got the side deal 4 for $12 the last go round so now my 5 year old has 5 micro drones that he can’t do much with. Lesson learned
I got a pair of Rocket RC Levicopters today. They look identical to the Propel Hovermaxx 2 I got last time. The manuals are identical except for the covers. I assume that Rocket is the same thing branded differently. Plus I got twice as many! And one was blue. I like blue.
Why did they send Rocket RC micro drones instead of Propel? They suck. Propel micro drones are much better with altitude hold. I guess i will return them as this is not as expected. Title says Mystery drone by PROPEL but they sent ROCKET RC. They are not the same !
Yes, it is! I’m charging my little levitators and we’re going to clear some furniture, turn off the ceiling fan, and have a tournament. Should I tell the kids that your hand position makes it move around the room as well? Nah, they can figure that out on their own.
Same $2 POS pre Christmas wrapped junk I got last time. Not again!! Who am I kidding… Of course I’ll buy again. Same reason I’ll keep breaking fingers to try to get an IRK. You just don’t know for sure how crappy it is unless you “win” one.
I got the Rocket micro-drone. It seems like it would have been fun for a few minutes, except that one of the motors isn’t pulling its weight. The other three lift up, and the corner with the weak motor stays unelevated. The most it can do is tumble across the surface. It’s not worth the trouble of fixing returning or whatever you’re allowed to do, but it’s worth a whine here.
I got a rocket rc flip micro drone, my very first drone! It might be little and I still have to get batteries, but I should have fun playing with the cat! Although I do fear a crash and break where I’m a newbie to drones! Perfect price for the newbie!
I got a pair of the Rocket drones today and not a Propel drone of any type. Pretty bummed because my kid can’t fly these, but he can fly (at least a little bit) either of the two Propel ones we got from Meh in the past.
Got the one click propel drone a few days ago. My first drone, so I’m still learning how to fly it. The intent was to fly it around the yard and get the dogs to chase it. So far one dog seems mildly scared of it (avoids it) and the other thinks it must be destroyed at all costs. Witnessed some crazy jumps so far from him trying to catch it. Drawback, he barks a lot when it’s flying. Sorry, neighbors.
So far the little thing seems pretty sturdy - I’ve crashed it into trees and the dog has grabbed it a few times. Rescued it from his mouth a little slimy but intact. If it survives much longer, maybe I’ll get an SD card and check out the video feature. Overall worth the $6!
@Stumpy91 I only got the original “give us 7 business days to respond” email. no resolution email, just a refund.
maybe they are still working on the email. you’d think with the number of non-propel drones they sent out they would have a form email ready by now.
I got a pair of the Rocket drones and opened 1 of them and it was completely des-droid on arrival.
So I’ll not open the other one and give it to my nasty nephew for Christmas.
He’s earned this, it’ll be a great Christmas present for him.
I always try to find the good side of everything.
I ended up with a Propel One Click that refuses to sync. Propel support wouldn’t do anything more than send me basic troubleshooting that was already on their site, and Meh hasn’t gotten back to me since I reached out over a week ago. Meh.
@Stumpy91 oh, I’m pretty certain I’ve got he procedure right. Fully charged, no signals nearby, within the appropriate timeframes, yada yada. The instructions say that the drone should make noise presync too and it doesn’t do that. It looks like it would have been a good deal if it actually worked.
I got the one click piece of junk too. Seems to sync up sometimes but refuses to hover. It just flies away, even after trying all of the trim adjustments, etc. Can’t take it outside because it will just fly away. Get what you pay for I suppose. Meh
I was disappointed with receiving the Rocket ones as my kid can’t fly these either yet, but after weeks of troubleshooting I’ve come to realize all 4 batteries are dead on the rockets themselves and don’t take a charge no matter how long they are on the charger, and 3 of the 4 remotes came with dead batteries. My biggest Meh disappointment so far. Hoping support can at least make it better a bit.
@CaptMorgan When I first got mine I thought it was broken because it jumped up and immediately went dead. Then I realized I needed to get my hand under there right away. Do you get anything at all? Lights even?
