@christinerenee@mehgrl if you're really interested I could try to rustle you up some babies, but the weird thing is most of the time people don't wanna sell em. I don't get it.
@JonT it is actually fairly easy to find people who want to sell their children. they just don't want to sell their children to anyone who wants to buy them.
Screams break the silence Waking from the dead of night Vengence is boiling He's returned to kill the light Then when he's found who he's looking for Listen in awe and you'll hear him IRK IN THE MOON!
I remember using the ultimate in baby monitoring technology when each of my children were infants. Sight, temperature, sound, touch, even smell; the front pack. The baby was happy. It was low stress. I recommend them to all new parents.
One surprising side effect is that people are nicer to you when you're wearing a baby.
Question for all of you camera monitoring parents out there! I understand being able to see your kid will help with peace of mind; but is there really an advantage to a video monitor over a straight audio one? What am I missing?
@Thumperchick I think it's for paranoid parents who think that if the kid is quiet that maybe she's been kidnapped or stopped breathing. (Actually the stopping breathing thing could be a real concern with SIDS and all.)
@Thumperchick Up until 6 months of age, children are at a heightened risk of SIDS and should lay on their backs. The video helps with my daughter as she moves her body a lot when she sleeps during the day and night and its nice to have a video feed so i can check on her from time to time.
Moreover, lots of parents like to use them at the toddler age so they can keep track of their child without having to be in the same room as them.
@studerc That makes sense. I'm guessing if your baby is sleeping in your room with you, it's not as helpful for that time period. I totally get cameras for toddler age - kids are fast and do the weirdest things.
@Thumperchick Having an extra set of eyes is important, being able to hear what's going on is great too. I guess it one of those things only parents can answer. I will say we caught our cat jumping up into the crib a few times with our camera.

Would this work well for FPV for flying a quadcopter? I currently have no way of monitoring my baby when I am flying him around the neighborhood.
for monitoring your not quite favorite child?
@Lotsofgoats you know…the other one.
Finally something I don't want so I don't have to torture myself with decisions.
On the other hand, if someone wants to sell me a baby...
@christinerenee I was hoping it came with one as pictured.

For the parent who feels their baby doesn't deserve the best money can buy.
Meh, LOVE the enthusiasm with the whole "baby-shit" thing. However, enough with the monitors. How about selling diapers or something. Ok thanks.
@studerc do you really want yesterday's diapers at tomorrow's price though D:
an IP camera would be a better offering AND you could view from any device. Single function baby monitors are soooooo 2012. MEHHHH

@hamjudo You're making me regret not helping fund the Cool Baby kickstarter even more
Meh. Don't need it. The twins are over a year old and usually wind up in our room.

@christinerenee paranoid parent..or perhaps a conscientious parent looking out for the well being of their essentially helpless child ;)

@jqubed Holy Shit she is calm! God bless her.
@mfladd I dunno about that; she sounds to me like she's going into shock!
