I have no idea what this poll is even asking…
But i went with wands because I learned that in France they call wands “baguettes” they also call anything sticklike “baguettes” including penises and a policeman’s truncheon.
That made me laugh thinking how Harry Potter must sound in French.
@OnionSoup Yeah, they’re just pentagrams with a slightly fancier name, like garbanzo beans are also called chick peas. I don’t know which of those two is fancier.
@PocketBrain I don’t think one is fancier than the other but Garbanzo hints to me that it is latino food. Chick pea makes me think middle eastern or European…
“what do you mean you think I’m shooting blanks and that’s why you can’t get pregnant? I have pentacles! I’ll have you know I’m shooting black ink, not blanks! Why do you think all my socks are black?”
For those wondering, the Minor Arcana are the “suit cards” (1 through 10) in a Tarot deck, with wands, pentacles, cups, and swords in lieu of clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades, respectively.
These last couple of polls have left me mystified at how many people have apparently never seen tarot cards. Even if you’re completely unfamiliar with the deck itself, the Major Arcana are referenced in tons of works of fiction.

@OnionSoup oh, and also in French Harry Potter, Tim Riddles middle name is Elvis, to make the anagram thing work…
… Now I’m really on a tangent… But wands, arcana and pentacles make me think Potter.
@OnionSoup
it think it sounds like "tohn tohn tohn tohn tohn… "
@OnionSoup
For reference, there’s a whole meme on this:
@OnionSoup @PocketBrain We have a close family friend who is a French teacher. I think she would love this (if she hasn’t seen it already!)
I’m not sure what the Pentacles are for, but the wands have to do something useful.
@PocketBrain are they tentacles you make pentagrams out of?
Or is it a portmanteau of “porn” and “tentacles”?
@OnionSoup @PocketBrain
Regular folk call them “coins”. They are circles have stars in them.

@OnionSoup @PocketBrain
So what are dude peas?
@PocketBrain I don’t think one is fancier than the other but Garbanzo hints to me that it is latino food. Chick pea makes me think middle eastern or European…
And Chana makes me think of Indian food.
@mike808
I have three coffees every morning and this dude peas like clockwork…
@mike808 @OnionSoup @PocketBrain I was thinking a portmanteau of “pens” and “testicles”, but that’s an uncomfortable thought.

Pentacles? I thought you said tentacles. (And I’m not sure I need tentacles either).
I’m so confused. What does this question even mean?
