Tilling and raking the areas where I need to kill the damn Bahia grass. I might just decide to get one of those brush-burner torches from Horror Fright and do a major flambé treatment first.
@werehatrack the harbor freight ones work fine but lugging the propane tank is heavy. I forget did you say roundup didn’t work on it? Would be my first choice to wipe out an area.
As an aside harbor freights parking lot sale started today. If you weren’t aware. 40% off icon ratchets. Some other good stuff
Anything relating to the stupid grass. Why does this inane green plant have us collectively under its power? Why do we work so hard to tend it? Plant it, fertilize it, waste our water on it, so then we can cut and trim it so meticulously? WHY??
Ordinance restricting grass in new Aurora developments approved
The ordinance restricts backyard turf to 45% of the area or 500 square feet, whichever is smaller, and bans most front yard turf.
It’s not exactly “yard work” but there is a spring that comes out at the house footing and there were pipes that drained it. But they got blocked somewhere down the line. So I’m trying to dig them up to find the block. Followed one if the three to a single connection. Found a child’s sandal in that. Kept digging. Then both filled up from the spring. Grumble. Digging mud.
It’s outside in the yard with the mosquitos so that’s “yard work” also longer than three feet.
Digging the holes.
Having a yard
F) all of the above

@werehatrack Just buy the flame thrower from Harbor Freight. They are a blast. And you get truly scorched earth.
E) Paying the yard guys to do what I’m too old and lazy to do…
Annoying yard work
@somf69 yep that includes it ALL!

/giphy NO MORE GRASS
@katbyter Move to Aurora, CO:
@Kyeh FINALLY!
Listening to my wife do the yard work.
Am I doing yard work? How annoyed must I be with boredom?
@hchavers Very

picking up the poop from other peoples dogs.
@duodec Black pepper can help with that according to the dog that used to come into my mom’s yard.
@yakkoTDI
Trying to get plants to grow rather than whither and die.
I have xeriscape so weeding is the only yard work I have.
I would say ALL 3. I don’t like doing any of them!
Paying the really nice guy that mows it for me…
A luxury I choose not to live without.
All because the city and my wife will fine me if I do not.
All of it
Dealing with the heat and humidity, which is a task in itself.
@werehatrack And insects.
@pakopako And HOAs. But I guess that’s redundant.
Anything involving bending. Because old.
@ddbelyea Orthostatic hypotention is a stone bitch.
I moved out into the middle of nowhere so that I only have to do the yardwork I want to do instead of what an HOA thinks I should do.
