Moar opossums!
17Yep, there are more here. But this year, they’re outside. Not in our attached garage. The access doors were closed after we finally moved them all out of the house last September.
Anyway, I happened upon a couple of joeys (they are the cutest things ever! even when growling and warning me off) last week (around 9:30 pm Pacific time) and a couple of days ago, found the nest. I don’t think this mom had as many as last year’s mom.
I tossed out a couple of corn on the cobs (corns on the cob?) and positioned the roof cam so that they’re visible. The camera switches to black and white after dark and you can see everything clearly.
So, if you want to check it out, the link is http://weather.lisaviolet.com/.

Is the nest in view of the camera or do they just walk across the view area on occasion?
@Kidsandliz The nest is hidden (old ladders stacked flat stuffed with pine needles up against the house), but it’s just feet away from the corn cobs.
Today is the first time I remembered to move the camera.
No opossums, but nice little tractor - I want one of those mowers. What brand is that?
@stolicat Mahindra. He’s a Mahindra guy.
@stolicat Mahindra 3215
There’s a couple of Mahindra ads somewhere on the Mahindra youtube site with my husband in them. One of them was his screen test here at home with Red behind him. (Blue, his 7520, was out the video range.) They liked the screen test so much they hired him for the shoot down in Texas and paid him $500 for the rights.
No opossum touched the corn. I haz a sad.
@lisaviolet Grill them a burger? I’ve been checking- your camera is great in the dark.
@sammydog01 It is, isn’t it? The plan is to move it to a different spot. Right now, there are a couple of trees that are in the way of a great view. The nice thing about this camera is I can move it 360°.
I use Blue Iris to send it to my website and I was kind of disappointed when it didn’t send the zoomed in image, but the full image.
I did see one last night, but it was gone when the image refreshed. It was about half the size of one of the ears of corn. Tiny thing.
