13Ok, gang, it’s your time to shine! Post a link to your very best Irk impression and if we consider it to be top-notch, we’ll make sure you get…something. That’s right, the absolute best-of-the-best will receive “something.”
No need to write up a script, we’ve got you covered. Just give us the line, “Maybe it bothers me more than it should.” That’s right, eight little words. Couldn’t get much easier!
The entry can be in the form of a video or just send your best audio clip. Please don’t include background music, but do drop your username in the clip to seal the deal.

@ExtraMedium Thanks for cleaning it up for me. Deep Art makes it easy to do something like this. It’s a cool little online program. I did about 10 or 12 tries until I got what I liked. Meh is welcome to steal it if they want since I stole the basic picture of irk I used from meh (I can give you a direct link if you want; I’d guess it would be easy to photo shop their logo off of it, I’d do it but I don’t have photoshop.).

My “oh shit i never redid this” attempt with wireless earbuds in the closet came out sounding better than when I sat down last week to do it with a real microphone and never got a satisfying take. Shoutout to shirts and pants for really knowing how to deaden a room!
I think(?) @lichme did the pronunciation thing too. Unless I’ve just been reading his name wrong this whole time.

I’m here to judge the Irk Impression Contest. My qualifications are both meager and unsurpassed. WHAT FOLLOWS IS MY FINAL RULING unless it turns out I made a mistake somewhere.
@curtise delivers an extremely strong impression right off the bat. Excellent verisimilitude, with a bonus demonstration of puppeteering skills. 10/10.
@brainmist hits it out of the park with a characterization calling to mind a younger Irk, just beginning to discover what bothers him more than it should. Terrific. 10/10.
@medz imbues Irk with a sassy insouciance that’s impossible not to love. Great work. 10/10.
@lichme’s Irk has verve, attitude, and the dangerous charisma of someone who’s slightly unhinged. Love it. 10/10.
@ExtraMedium is ineligible to win, but still brings us an Irk worthy of a big-budget Hollywood film adaptation of “Maybe It Bothers Me”. Excellent. 10/10.
@AttyVette’s Irk is like one of those cover songs where the artist doesn’t try to copy the original material, but instead explores it in a different style, and unearths the essential truth at its core. Beautiful. 10/10.
@TexDragonSlayer’s Irk has a pleading quality, like Irk is on the brink of realizing something about himself. Utterly great. 10/10.
@Beanchapa keys in on the Peter Lorre notes in Irk’s voice, bringing them to the fore. One pictures this Irk in a stage play called “Everyone Comes to Meh.com”. Outstanding. 10/10.
@shoelessjoek’s performance is full of casual resignation; it embodies the futility of being bothered more than you should be. Heartbreaking. 10/10.
@capguncowboy gives us Irk’s instability. Here is Irk at his most unpredictable, an agent of chaos! Fabulous. 10/10.
@gr8mick1 dives deep, bringing a writer’s mind to bear on the question of what makes Irk tick — and calling back to November of 2015, when Irk first let us glimpse his inner Disney princess. Magical. 10/10.
@grammarsheriff places Irk’s voice way at the back of the throat, lifting the soft palate, not only replicating Irk’s timbre, but physically manifesting his hesitance, his equivocatory nature. Magnificent. 10/10.
@brennenrampton pulls on the purple felt not just to enter a silly online talent show, but to deliver a classically Irkesque rant of his own. Incredible. 10/10.
@mattguyver knows that Irk has a slight Smeagol thing going on, and I am here for it. A very tricksy impression. Epic. 10/10.
@DoctorOW’s Irk is earnest, guileless. This is an Irk who knows what bothers him, and how much it ought to. An Irk you can believe in. 10/10.
@medz isn’t here to sound like Irk, but to become like Irk. The character’s fundamental trollishness comes through in a performance so powerful it’s almost frightening. Certainly to cats. Awe inspiring. 10/10.
@cinoclav’s Irk is professorial, delivering his signature phrase like it’s the conclusion of a succinct mini-lecture. Top notch. 10/10.
@chaos13 gives us a particularly Muppety Irk. Should this Irk be scarfing snickerdoodles, or fronting a Scandinavian death metal band? Either way, sweet. 10/10.
@Kidsandliz serves up a faintly Sandlerian impression. Is it the placement in the mouth? Pulling nearly two syllables out of the word “should”? Regardless, it’s excellent. 10/10.
@djslack’s Irk has something of Scooter about him. Like the Muppet Show’s longtime utility player, he’s subtle, but indispensable. 10/10.
