Mehrathons helped me at Disney World
18All those frustrating attempts to buy an IRK actually helped me during our recent Disney World visit. For the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride, there is no standby line – you can either pay for a visit slot or you can join a virtual queue grouping. Virtual queue groups are dropped 2x a day (7am and 1pm), and while the 1pm drop sometimes stays open for an hour, the 7am drop disappears within a minute.
Well, thanks to world time server and a two handed refresh/button smash technique, I was able to secure a virtual queue spot on two different days. Thanks, meh?

Nice job! That looks like a super fun coaster.
@Ignorant Knowing nothing about the ride, the first time was incredible. Subsequent rides are still fun. Just a super smooth ride (without giving away any spoilers)
No line? That sounds absurd and I hope it changes once the ride settles in…
@PooltoyWolf it’s the way Disney has been opening their new attractions, eventually it moves to a standard standby queue.
@Ignorant @PooltoyWolf Yep, Remy and Rise of the Resistance had virtual queues when they opened. Standby advice is go first thing in the morning or last thing in the day, so you’re not competing against people with lightning lane purchases. But Rise of the Resistance goes down a lot so harder to do that.
@Ignorant That’s what I thought, but I’m at Disney so infrequently (despite living here) that I wasn’t sure.
We had genie plus and lightning lane- it was fun but still like the old way Disney use to do their fast pass lanes!
@AttyVette nothing beats the feeling of having 5 sets of banked fast passes!
I don’t know what any of this means.
Fast Pass was better.
