That being said, I LOVED the format. One of the things I hate about Woot Offs is guessing when something sells out for the next product. This way I knew when to come back and I could leave to do work if needed. 24 hours is enough for one of these things.
@jqubed@Barney A few people, at least, did get perfect streaks throughout the Mehrathon. I don’t know if any, other than @BillLehecka, had perfect streaks they were completing. I know I did not get all of them yesterday and am now bereft.
@Barney Well, I mean, I still technically have a “clicked every day since Day 0” streak, but I fell asleep for a few hours in the afternoon and missed nine, so I don’t have all possible clicks. I really think Meh was just trying to mess with us. haha
@f00l Yeah, my internet is so slow, that each time I get one, I think it’s my last. I guess it’s the power of positive thinking in reverse, but I did get one of the morning Fukos.
Did you get teams of specialty trained and hard-conditioned prairie dogs to run the extra large hamster wheels that powered the extra fast internet for you on this urgent occasion?
/giphy prairie dog
Oops. My good manners didn’t last long there. Sorry!
@Barney I have clicked every Meh button since Day 0, including going 57 for 57 yesterday. I believe I’m the only one left. The only person left who has clicked every meh button since Day 1 is @ninjaemilee
@Barney I clicked 42! i hadn’t clicked a “meh” button in a long time since losing a streak a while back but now i’m back in the game. thought i was doing well but @BillLehecka has me beat
i liked it! a lot. esp. the every five minutes rush.
not enough stamina to do that for 24 hours though.
so just right…
thought for a bit i might finally get a chance at scoring a magic bag, but naw… never got this close before though… i eagerly hit buy!! and soon discovered i should have done some capcatcha thingy… [shrug]
i still bought some nice stuff!
i would do another meharathon! whoowoo!
Thanks again to Meh.com for saving a FUKO for the old guard VMP’ers. That was a welcome recognition of our undying meh support. I got my first (and probably only) Fuko, and a few other nice grabs. It would be great to have a meh-rathon once every month or two
I lost my VMP when someone made suspicious charges to my credit card. I got a new card a few days later, but didn’t get around to notifying Meh in a timely way (or an untimely way, I don’t think I’ve bought anything since, so Meh still doesn’t have my new account info.)
would definitely love to do another meh-rathon sometime in the future (probably not soon cuz i feel like too many would make it less exciting/novel and also make too many folks’ wallets unhappy). that said, i’d also love to see what other weird new marketing schemes you folks could come up with. maybe a walk down meh-mory lane (re-doing a bunch of old best-sellers for a few days in a row)? there are so many puns waiting to be exploited
@communist Everyone should guess at dates, and what we’d sell, and for how much, and features for those things, and what story we’d write next to those deals, and the photos that should go along with them, and
(But yes, I’ll be thinking about all that…starting in a few days.)
I thought it was a lot of fun and very much like the proscribed time slots of either five or 60 minutes, allowing for some sleep, a quick shower, driving to work, meetings, etc.
I also very much liked the fact that the fukos were not at a specified time, rewarding those who persevered for the hour and thus making it more of a reward than a random crap shoot for those who happen to be around for a minute or three at 11:59 PM, 7:59 AM and 3:59 PM. I strongly suggest that we do not return to the previous method of doling out fukos, though if they only come during meh-rathons, that too will become predictable.
Perhaps it is (mostly) just me, but I already had way too many of the items that came up during the day’s sales. A number of them brought back fond(ish) memories.
ZzzZzzzzZzzzzzzzzzz
@dave I’ll take that as a yes.
@dave
You live in one of the certified meth capitals of the known universe
You can do this. You can handle another meh-rathon. Use your local resources here. Come on now.
And support the local meth economy while you work. Win win.
@dave
I suppose the employees could call the next one a
MEtH-rathon
Am I a marketing genius or what?
@dave Oh c’mon Dave! I have narcolepsy and even I survived the meh-rathon!
Yeah. I need rest.
That being said, I LOVED the format. One of the things I hate about Woot Offs is guessing when something sells out for the next product. This way I knew when to come back and I could leave to do work if needed. 24 hours is enough for one of these things.
@BillLehecka I’ll take that as a yes.
@BillLehecka Seconded! They’ve really done a good job in general of keeping things weird for slightly older people who have stuff to do.
Oh, yeah, I forgot to check in on this thing. Meh face streak broken again.
@jqubed You would never have kept up with all of the clicks.
@Barney So they ended all the perfect streaks, finally?
@jqubed I think so. Nobody, that I know of, is claiming to have clicked all of them.
@Barney
What about @BillLehecka? Did he get them all?
I think I got 24 or 25 of them?
Too lazy to go look right now.
@f00l Hmm, not sure. Did you stay up for the whole thing?
@jqubed @Barney A few people, at least, did get perfect streaks throughout the Mehrathon. I don’t know if any, other than @BillLehecka, had perfect streaks they were completing. I know I did not get all of them yesterday and am now bereft.
@PurplePawprints Sorry, you lost your streak. I know, that there was no way that I could have stayed up the whole time.
@Barney Well, I mean, I still technically have a “clicked every day since Day 0” streak, but I fell asleep for a few hours in the afternoon and missed nine, so I don’t have all possible clicks. I really think Meh was just trying to mess with us. haha
@PurplePawprints I think you’re right.
@Barney
Nope. Slept last night like a normal person.
Was intermittently rather busy today.
Between 3-4 pm here I was pulling off the freeway every 3 min to refresh phone in case I got a shot at a fuko
the new item page would take almost a min to load
If the roads had been clogged I prob would have annoyed people.
But traffic was reasonable and I was able to use a route that has lots of shoulder room on the side.
But no chance over LTE I think
When there final fuko showed up , the captcha was just starting to load for me when it sold out.
The earlier ones were like that for me too.
@f00l Yeah, my internet is so slow, that each time I get one, I think it’s my last. I guess it’s the power of positive thinking in reverse, but I did get one of the morning Fukos.
@Barney
Oh you are just so special.
Ok I’ll stop the snark. I’m impressed.
Did you get teams of specialty trained and hard-conditioned prairie dogs to run the extra large hamster wheels that powered the extra fast internet for you on this urgent occasion?

Oops. My good manners didn’t last long there. Sorry!
@f00l I was going to feel sorry for you that you didn’t get one, well, there went that sentiment.
@Barney
Imagine my purple shock
/giphy purple shock
@Barney I have clicked every Meh button since Day 0, including going 57 for 57 yesterday. I believe I’m the only one left. The only person left who has clicked every meh button since Day 1 is @ninjaemilee
@BillLehecka I admire your fortitude. Nope, I couldn’t do it. No Meh-rathon for you today; I’ll give you a day or two to rest.
@Barney I clicked 42! i hadn’t clicked a “meh” button in a long time since losing a streak a while back but now i’m back in the game. thought i was doing well but @BillLehecka has me beat
@BillLehecka
We who are about to click Salute You.
@saiteron 42 is really good! I clicked once and it wore me out.

All purple, all day?
@narfcake I’d be broke.
@narfcake @Barney And a one hour segment when only people with @Barney can purchase…
@duodec Meh would go broke.
I only bought t shirts
@f00l That’s more than what I purchased!
@narfcake
I am hoping for interesting randoms.
It didn’t suck.
@Pavlov
Does meh ship to wherever in the galaxy you are right now?
@f00l I dunno. I’m pretty high. Prolly tho.
@Pavlov
Definitely slightly better than average meh.
i liked it! a lot. esp. the every five minutes rush.
not enough stamina to do that for 24 hours though.

@mick Keep trying, you’ll get a Fuko someday.
@mick Always check for the not a robot box first. Come back next year! (Or April Fool’s day- shhhhh.)
I’m still experiencing Meh-rathon lag; for some reason I keep checking the site each hour to see if something has changed x_X.
@themarksmann You probably aren’t the only one.

@crow Congrats on your first Fuko!
Couldn’t quite get the VMP to pay for itself yesterday but was really close. Must…not…let…credit card…expire.
@tellatale Or get used fraudulently.
I lost my VMP when someone made suspicious charges to my credit card. I got a new card a few days later, but didn’t get around to notifying Meh in a timely way (or an untimely way, I don’t think I’ve bought anything since, so Meh still doesn’t have my new account info.)

It was awesome Meh! I don’t think anyone expected it. Please do it again!
@michaelgj2002 Yeah, let’s do it again. I love to be sleep deprived.
@Barney It was fun you have to admit that! It would be nice to have it on Saturday. Meh kept us in suspense all day. Great planning.
best guess
next meh-rathon is 09/18/2017
@communist Probably longer than that. @dave seemed awfully tired.
@communist Everyone should guess at dates, and what we’d sell, and for how much, and features for those things, and what story we’d write next to those deals, and the photos that should go along with them, and
(But yes, I’ll be thinking about all that…starting in a few days.)
@communist I was thinking 7/09/2018
@dave
Battle of marathon took place in late august early september 490bc.
Battle of meh rathon could be late august early september.
I wonder if some of these items will return. I wanted to get the Halo Lights and noticed there were only 20 when they sold out.
@JT954 try morningsave.com
I could have sworn I saw them there this morning…but having a hard time finding them…
I thought it was a lot of fun and very much like the proscribed time slots of either five or 60 minutes, allowing for some sleep, a quick shower, driving to work, meetings, etc.
