Meh streak broken. Last staffer down?
18If you're going to miss clicking the Meh button, let it be because you've spent all day on the beach with your family and never once thought about visiting the site.
I'm a little bummed, but I'm looking forward to April 30, 2016, when I can beat my longest streak.
(Separately, because you and I both would be asking, it's surprisingly challenging to prioritize work for lists like "Are there any other staffers who have clicked every day" and "How many Meh members have unbroken streaks of at least 100 days" and "What's the earliest & latest in a day you've clicked the Meh button" and "Do people click later on weekends than weekdays" but I keep hoping we'll find time for a crapload of Meh button stats one of these days.)

9 more days till triple digits for me. :3
I sympathize, but as I managed to go to Morocco and still click the meh button every day, my sympathy is limited. But perhaps this is simply the wake up call you needed to really appreciate clicking the button.
@mossygreen not sure @Dave is the one needing the wake up call...
@RedHot I have no idea what you could possibly be implying.
Funny you posted this. I had a great streak of 137 days going and my button click yesterday didn't register so now I'm back down to 1. I r sad Bingo :(
Perhaps you should hire someone to be the official Meh button click stats person.
@chellemonkey
@connorbush soo... any word on my future employment with Mediocre Labs?
@connorbush if you're inquiring through the forums I would continue to apply elsewhere.
@marklog My inquiry was for the non-existent position of "Meh button click stats person." Should I have made my jesting inquiry elsewhere? It was in response to a forum post--I cannot imagine that I would directly contact Mediocre Labs when my response was meant for @chellemonkey and others participating in this particular forum. If this position has been created and is ready for legitimate applicants please let me know.
My current streak is 253. I visit Meh every night at roll over and do the button click and the poll. (And some times buy something.)
Currently at 329. I didn't get in on the first few days of clicking. Earliest is right after midnight and latest without checking early afternoon. Most days I am around 5AM eastern. I have to get up for work too early and usually peek in here and a few other online things before leaving the house. If I have time I generally read threads in the evening or on break from work on my phone. No internet access at work. Stats in general interest me. I should have aimed for a job in that area.
Edit to add I am on vacation this week so all bets are off, also it is a good week in my schedule for a live stream!
Edit quite a ramble I got going there, sorry.
I must be doing it wrong. :-)

Tomorrow will be something. Not great, but something.
I was pretty erratic in the early days, especially when I was on business trips.. but I've ironed that out lately..
@dave - Sorry about your streak reset. Would it help if we all chimed in with our stats?
330 total meh button clicks (mostly straight up midnight)

. . . but it doesn't matter, because I'll never make up that first week (and having to live with a pseudo K)
336, kids.
Amateurs. :)
@BillLehecka I knew you'd be here to remind us all that your streak is still perfect.
@Thumperchick What else am I supposed to do? Twiddle my thumbs in self-satisfaction? I hope after a year of perfection I win a car or something. Apple Watches for all!
@BillLehecka We're still twinsies! Who else is left?
@PurplePawprints It might just be myself, you, and @medz.
@BillLehecka I have 336 now, since I didn't know about the kickstarter. There'll always be someone ahead of me, I'd wager. I'm gonna just do the best that, the best that I can.
@BillLehecka I still have mine and I hope I didn't just jinx myself. Today was 337.
@atannir 336 here, too. Wish I had gotten in on the kickstarter. I have K envy, yeah I'll admit it.
Once I broke my streak, I've been unable to keep one up again. I've missed 2 more days since my original break.

I have a different kind of perfect streak. I wanted to make sure I would never feel the pressure to click or remorse of missing a day of clicking the Meh button, so:
Even still, I've been visiting daily since August, first purchase was September.
@mehdaf I pray you never try to buy something and accidentally click a little to the right.
@medz yes, I acknowledge there is a real risk there. I managed to buy 6 copters today though, yay unbroken streak! I prefer this type of streak where by default doing nothing continues my streak...
Only missed 2 days so far:

Damn you Mule Mugs and @Pavlov!
Damn you other product I missed it on.
My account page says that I've been mediocre for 125 days, which makes these numbers slightly strange:
125 total meh button clicks
117 in a row
longest streak: 117
I missed one day early on, i think because I got logged out and forgot to actually log back in after clicking the meh button.
I missed the Kickstarter, and day 3. Or was it day 4? I'm not sure.
I didn't even know about the site in the very beginning. (Yeah, I'm a total loser for that.) Had one of those non-registering clicks along the way, so...
Member 135 days. Missed it three times.
I don't think the member days have updated yet. Should be 136 days.
133 total mehs.

At this point I have actually decided I don't care about a streak. Why? Well I bought the mini quadcopter and decided not to press. Then I felt the weight of the world lifted from my shoulders and a great sense of relief washed over me. So now, I'll press it or I won't. There will be no rhyme or reason and as a result no anger at myself when I miss a click.
I didn't quite know about the site from the very beginning, and I don't know if I clicked every day at the beginning, but a couple times I've lost my streak due to Jewish holidays that ended up on Friday or Sunday, meaning ~49 hours of being offline, missing the click for the first of the two days:
@michabailey Curious. I don't mean to disrespect your religion but why can't you visit a website on a Jewish holiday? Is there something in the Torah that forbids browsing websites? I also thought that the Jewish holy days were from sunset to sunset so there is always a window of opportunity on every holy day to click the meh button. For example, if sunset is at 8pm, you can always click it at any time between 8:01 and midnight.
@cengland0 [It's complicated][1], but essentially we don't use computers or other electronic devices. And yes, it's from sunset to nightfall (~25 hours), which is why I'm able to maintain a streak of more than a week (also, here in Israel, the new deals are posted at 7 AM). The issue is when a holiday (Yom Tov, specifically) is on Friday or Sunday, meaning that it's consecutive to Shabbat, meaning that there isn't a time in the EST day that I'm able to click. I was excited when I hit the bicentennial mark last week, to the point of bragging to my wife about it...
The wonder about some of the things that run through my wife's head whenever I open my mouth. God bless her.
I trumped my previous record of 104 and made it to 105 and then forgot to login whilst on vacation last Wednesday to make it to 106.
Maybe I'll continue the pattern I have established and tap out once I make it to 106 and reset the counter on 9/18/2015, or maybe I'll completely forget.
Someone remind me please!
I was at 130-something and missed it because I went backpacking and had no technology with me for 3 days.
That'll show me to exercise again.
I just noticed this today:
disappointed, I clicked on the day to find out which one I forgot only to find out I didn't forget...
I've been sabotaged??
@Kleineleh the face will show on all past sales if you clicked it or not.
@Ignorant I see, thanks. I thought it might be something like that, I haven't been keeping up with the changes lately
I'm at 161 total, 111 streak. I'm about to go on a river rafting/camping trip for a week, and I actually asked my husband to click the meh button for me when I'm gone. Is that cheating?
@metageist Anything it takes to get the job done.
@metageist yes, because you didn't invite us :)
@mikibell The Salmon River in Idaho is absolutely beautiful, I recommend checking it out sometime if you are outdoorsy person.
