Yes, the models that talk to you in Korean are quite expensive.
@pitamuffin they even makes jokes funnoer than louis c.k. sometimes.
Yeah, if it talks in Korean it might not be a rice cooker, it may actually be Lady Rainicorn. Anyway, I second this suggestion. Especially a Zojirushi cooker with an adorable elephant logo please.
I also just now realized I have a need for an appliance that speaks to me in a foreign language. Yes, please!
@bluedyn The latest model of the rice cooker @sp3ar is probably talking about speaks Korean, Chinese, and English. Interested?
@mia This is really fancy. But I don't need a rice cooker. Now a toaster that talks, that I'd be all over.
@bluedyn BUT IT CAN BAKE CAKES AND "SCORCH" RICE TO GIVE IT THAT TOAST LIKE FLAVOR, to koreans all you need is a rice cooker and you are set for life
@mia well I wouldn't say that I don't want that awesome do all model, but I have seen this particular model that i have seen in either pink or green I can't tell if it just says it speaks in korean only or if it is korean only text...
Zojirushi is Japanese my friend, Cuckoo is korean and maybe Cuchen? Definately the Cuckoo models you could even sell us the 220v models and a cheap step up converter to go with it, hello kitty model perhaps to match the pink rice cooker
@sp3ar cuckcoo is the best one I have used. Highly recommended
@MasterST All I need to cook rice is water and a saucepan with cover. It works just fine.
Holy crap- a rice cooker that babbles at me in a language I don't understand? Hell yes! Sign me up! :D (bonus points for Hello Kitty!)
Maybe a great way to learn a new language. It won't unlock the lid of your cooked meal until you can correctly pronounce the phrase of the day.
I see great potential here.
@ceagee I see myself starving here.
@hallmike I can see myself breaking an expensive appliance that won't GIVE ME MY FOOD.
@hallmike I now see a diet AND language tool. Time for kickstarter.
@ceagee Not at the moment, but check back next week after I've finished off the leftover Halloween candy.
@Thumperchick What does a Korean goat sound like ? I think you'll be ok. Well, until Nov 1 anyways.
Why does it have to be Korean? Do you have something against White rice?
If you want to word it properly I do have a problem with american enriched rice products(aka whiteman rice)
