My halloween is even more mediocre than usual this year. I already don't really get any trick or treaters as it is, but I have a doctors appointment tomorrow as the high point of my day. Meh.
@Tiamat114 you could always take dr. and staff some candy. That might make it more festive, and then you would sort of have trick or treaters in a weird kind of way. Happy Halloween.
For me Halloween means doughnuts and fresh cider. I'd share, but you aren't here. So go get yourself some and pretend they are from me. Happy Halloween.
I'm off work and planning on watching the One Step Beyond marathon. And vacuuming. Right now I'm watching Fright Night because I love Roddy McDowell and Chris Sarandon's incredibly '80's, full-length gray leather trench coat. I don't think my Halloween could be more mediocre. Wait, that wasn't entirely clear. Roddy McDowell and Chris Sarandon do not share a trench coat in Fright Night. Do not watch it hoping to see that.
@dashcloud It's on COZI TV, which is a digital channel associated in my local market with NBC. Antenna TV (part of WGN) is doing an Alfred Hitchcock Presents marathon!
I used to think trick-or-treaters were cute, but I'm over it. I asked my husband if it would be OK if we just turn off all the lights and go out to dinner tonight.
@hollboll I dont' have the pictures but I was Merida from brave and I took my buttercup fur rreal friend pony with me, she dressed up as Angus Merida's trusty stead
My nearly 3 year old is going to be Dr. Horrible and I dyed my hair red (first time it's been dyed and I am 34) to be Penny and husband is going to be Captain Hammer and it's going to be amazing.
@JonT When I called the owner of the local laundrymat to ask if we could do a photoshoot before trick or treating, she was very confused. Amused, but very confused.
@lisaviolet Blame the churches... they all do these safe and sane trunk or treat type things with tons of free candy, food, and bounce houses.. so no one wants to work for it anymore.. :/
@TehMaliron Yeah, pretty much said the same thing. Parents don't even let their kids walk three blocks to school anymore, they get driven. School carnivals and churches.
@ceagee I'll take our leftovers (we got two huge bags of fun size candy bars at CostCo, thirty bucks) to our vet's office. They'll share it with their clients; their a very busy office.
@lisaviolet The church a couple blocks from our house does a big thing every, this is the first we've gone there, but we walked to the church and hit every house on the way home too.
We got a ton, even with the drizzle. We are the type of place that gets drive-ins. And I am cool with that.
Best costume is one on a tween I had to ask what was up. Long red hair wig, and what looked like a shark costume pulled part way up. She said she was the Little Mermaid being eaten by a shark. Unique, sick, and twisted; I like that in a girl.
Happy Halloween everyone!

@ceagee Now there's an idea. I think I may do just that. Thanks.

@mossygreen So, is the One Step Beyond marathon on TV or on DVD?

Twilight Zone, anyone?
I used to think trick-or-treaters were cute, but I'm over it. I asked my husband if it would be OK if we just turn off all the lights and go out to dinner tonight.
@Groovymarlin Prepare to be egged ;)
is everyone at Meh dressing up today? what are you wearing if you are.
@Foxborn I am!
@hollboll dressing up = wearing pants?
@chellemonkey Yup! Thought I'd try today. I'm not Charlie Chaplin but basically what happened is:
@hollboll I dont' have the pictures but I was Merida from brave and I took my buttercup fur rreal friend pony with me, she dressed up as Angus Merida's trusty stead
@Foxborn awesome! I was a spoon.
@hollboll Quick! Blame @thumperchick before it's too late.
@pistol @thumperchick why didn't you make everyone else dress up!
Coworkers spooning just doesn't seem right.
I'm terribly disappointed- on halloween, your meh-button icon thingy is NOT a jack-o-lantern? WTF is wrong with y'all?
@Josephus I've got your shirt on. So does Rusty.
@smilingjack [img][/img]
Wow, you freehanded that? If I freehanded a pumpkin carving like that, it would look much more like this:
@Trask Hey that looks pretty good!
Meh-o-Lantern.
I think I would rather have seen an Irk video complaining about candy corn
"I got a rock"
Happy Halloween friends!
Have fun tonight with your parties and your candies and your costumes and ghouls and ghosts and goblins.
@JonT

@MsELizardBeth that is amazing and I definitely want to see pics!
@JonT When I called the owner of the local laundrymat to ask if we could do a photoshoot before trick or treating, she was very confused. Amused, but very confused.
@MsELizardBeth you should have loaned a copy of the dvd
Four kids. We had four kids. Halloween sucks.
@lisaviolet Seven here. And two of those were only collecting for Unicef so they didn't dress up.
@lisaviolet Blame the churches... they all do these safe and sane trunk or treat type things with tons of free candy, food, and bounce houses.. so no one wants to work for it anymore.. :/
@lisaviolet - None. Same as most years. No one wants to traipse up a rather steep road.
@lisaviolet 30 ! I feel like I had a lot now. But still too much leftover candy.
@lisaviolet Six! Last year we had none, so a 600% increase.
@TehMaliron Yeah, pretty much said the same thing. Parents don't even let their kids walk three blocks to school anymore, they get driven. School carnivals and churches.
